Overall the resort was a great value considering the location and all the free amenities. Place looked and smelled brand new and staff was excellent. Only complaint is probably directed at Hotels.com though. When booking the room I typically add the extra charge in the total price for the breakfast for two. However, the hotel staff told me something about that just covering the base price…or something along those lines? Breakfast for two is an average of $60 a meal…which was charged to the room/bill…even though my Hotels.com receipt even showed “Free breakfast”. BTW, the breakfast was very good though. Probably not worth $30 apiece though. I would stay there again.

This hotel is a great option for the area. Friendly service, large rooms and very conveniently located

My experience was very good, I felt very well taken care of, apart from the hotel being very cozy, just the detail of the parking and its price, I think they should improve that part of price and parking.

Had a wonderful stay here at the Doubletree. Walking distance to the beach and plaza with a Walmart. Property was very clean, concierge was very friendly and helpful.

Balcony view without a view
Looking south into another property wall from the 8th floor. Disappointment galore at $250 plus a night …

Breakfast was terrible. Way understaffed. Waited 40 mins for cold and undercooked food.

This was the best hotel experience we have had in a very long time. All the staff were friendly and helpful! I would go back to Miami just to stay there!

The room was large! The downfall was the wad of hair in the shower drain. I cleaned it up and told the concierge about it. There was a weird noise all throughout the night that sounded like different tones of a vacuum cleaner turning on and off repeatedly throughout the night which made it difficult to sleep. The last complaint I have is that the room service started servicing our neighbor rooms at 7 in the morning while my wife and I were trying to sleep. They were talking very loudly and slamming doors. Definitely won’t be coming back again.

We had to move rooms three times. Never have I had to do this sliding door didn’t lock and sink was totally stopped up. He took it apart had black gunk everywhere. Had to move us. We repacked everything and moved our self then next room bathtub was disgusting we moved our self again no furniture on balcony. The employees were very nice. Beds were great the only thing that turned out good.

For an overnight is great; they need to inspect and ensure the bathroom in the rooms are completely clean and no damages on the walls around the shower. This can bring mold and other things that can damage the hotel or cause a sickness to the guests

Horrible customer service

Very disappointed with this stay. The website made it seem like this was a 5 star hotel, but it was not. I was expecting the 30$ resort fee that’s a give in, and even expecting a parking fee, but we had a pay a 40$ vallet fee that was mandatory. We asked if we could handle our own vehicle, and we were denied. When viruses are on the rise, we try to keep away from people, so for someone to tell us this was mandatory, that was upsetting. What really got me upset, however, was that the pool/hot tub and outside area was closed for reservations. The only reason why we booked was for the alleged gorgeous pool, but that was non existent. They claim to have beach access, but that was another lie. You have to cross a dangerous road and walk through another resort. Walk time 10 minutes, so that’s not good for elderly, those with small children, or people with disabilities. The rooms were not very clean, we woke up with several bites on our bodies. We expected a great time but we couldn’t wait to leave. No disrespect to the workers but our complaints did not matter because unfortunately no one understood us. Just to recap, the hotel claimed to be 139$ a night. Add 30$ resort fee, add 40$ mandatory ballet, plus taxes and hidden fees.. yikes we could have gone some where very nice directly on the beach.

Pool was under renovation
2.0 / 10.0
Booked after staying multiple times before. Was bringing elderly mother for her birthday trip from UK. A key focus was the use of the pool as mum enjoys swimming but not confident to swim in sea.
At no point when researching, booking or until I arrived was I made aware the entire pool area was closed for refurbishment.
Was directed to use the beach but this defeated the swimming plan, the beach chairs were not accessible at the same times as the pool would have been. I was also given the wrong times when I asked about this at reception and had to stand around on the beach on Sunday morning for an hour waiting for the team to arrive and setup.
The first night stay was also disrupted due to no working air conditioning. Reported it to reception they promised to resolve the following morning. Got back to the room mid afternoon to find air conditioning parts all over the room. After an hour of waiting went down to reception to see what was happening. Was told they would get the engineer back.
Very disappointing stay and not what I was sold.

The pool and jacuzzi were closed, this was never shown in the website, and I received a text the day of the check in, so I wasn’t able to cancel and move to another hotel . The front desk claims that it was noted in the website but was nothing there when I did the reservation.

We arrived and found out the pool was closed due to renovation. Nobody had ever noticed me in the 3 months since I booked. I would have canceled and rebooked elsewhere. The internet stopped working during our stay as well. Lastly, the breakfast that I paid to have included in our reservation was only one choice. With meat which we do not eat. Even though it’s the same price of more as everything else on the menu, we were not allowed to choose anything else. Very disappointed in the entire experience. Would not use Expedia again.

I recently stayed at this resort and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. While the room was clean and the food was good, there were several issues that overshadowed these positives.
I booked this resort specifically for its beautiful pool, but when I arrived, I found out that the pool was closed for construction. The most frustrating part was that I wasn’t informed about this when I booked my stay. This was a major letdown.
Additionally, I paid for breakfast to be included, but the breakfast options were extremely limited. I was stuck eating the same item from the menu every day for the entire week. There was no variety, and it was frustrating not to have the option to change things up.
When I spoke to the manager about these issues, they acted like they were going to address them, but nothing was ever done. It felt like my concerns were completely ignored.
Overall, I’m never coming back to this resort, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others. The experience here was far from what I expected, and I’m sorry to say it was very different from what was promised.

Clean and easy to get around. But the pool was not available for us to use which we were looking forward to that

Was disappointed the pool was not available, and no mention of renovations when booking was done.

Starting from the 40. Valet charge and the 30 resort fee we were already starting on the wrong foot. The pool and spa were closed. I booked the suite the sofas looked worn down. The bathroom shower had mold on the floor and to top it all off my towel had a long curly hair. I have straight hair. I'm grossed out.

I had an easy checkin and checkout. The staff was very pleasant and checked on me my entire stay.

The pool is under construction and I was not aware. This was such a blow to our vacation we were looking forward to relaxing by the pool. They should not book the hotel stay if your best amenity is out of service. Or add t least let the public know. I would have not stayed here

Front desk receptionist Sheena was really nice.

Unfortunately we had a building only power failure for over 12 hours with no A/C in 90 f heat. Being charged for a resort fee when the poolside bar and cabana was not always open was not appropriate. If the restaurant was closed the poolside cabana was not able to sell food.
