Really nice hotel in Reykjavik. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They answered every question I had and helped make plans for some day trips. The hotel rooms are really comfortable. Next time I come to Reykjavik I will definitely stay here.

We loved this hotel. Fantastic breakfast and the hotel restaurant was good. We rented a car and had no trouble parking. We found a restaurant around the corner that was very good, Brasserie Askur. The room was clean and comfortable.
4.1
The hotel was not directly in the down town area although not far from there. The only complaint i would say was that the halls seemed a little dark and the bathroom in our room was very wierdly designed. Otherwise it was a beautiful stay, great breakfast, gorgeous spa and east check in/out

Comfortable

Loved staying here! Staff were so friendly and accommodating. There are a few shops and restaurants nearby that are walking distance from the hotel which was perfect. 8 min drive from the city
4.1
Front desk and spa agents are not super friendly. Beds are hard and to get to the pool there are no robes
4.1
We stayed from 7/25 to 7/27.
Hotel Island has well-mannered front desk and restaurant staff, eager to help and accommodate. They also provided helpful information (special thanks to Helene) on earlier email communications.
Interior is a little dated, but comfortable. The only reservation I have is the moving in and out of the bath tub. Extra care must be exercised to avoid tripping over the high clearance.
Breakfast and restaurant dining are both good with attentive servers.

Great place to stay with an awesome breakfast option
4.1
Great stay overall. The continental breakfast was amazing. The hotel does not have a way to control the thermostat and so it did get quite warm in the room even with the little window open.
Shout out to David for helping save our trip after our tour was canceled. Great recommendations for where to go and what to do.
We’d stay here again and will recommend to others

It was an ok home base for our short visit in Reykjavík. Room was clean and spacious. Served our needs.

The spa closes at 7h45 pm!!! Way to early and its very very small!

Good Property and a nice location.

Nice quiet hotel. Staff was very friendly and rooms were good with comfortable beds and darkening shades.
4.1
Was a decent stay. The room was very hot even after we turned off the heat.
4.1
It was just ok. One comforter was way heavier than the other. Room was way too warm. Missed wake up call they said was a problem on our end in room and no further attempt to notify us.

Great hotel, super convenient. Only thing lacking was air conditioning.
4.1
EXTREMELY warm in room but otherwise good

Hotel was clean and nice for oyr last 2 nights in iceland!

Clean and quiet. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast buffet service. Good restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. The only downside was that it was not located in a walkable area but we had hired a car so this was not much of an issue.

The hotel was good and the staff were great and friendly. It is well located and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Will stay there again next time.

Spa costs extra. Stay at the hotel and have to pay extra for pool and spa. Typical of Iceland’s super expensive costs. I would tell people planning on travelling to Iceland to bring an extra suitcase of money or just don’t go there. It’s really not worth it
4.1
We walked from here to cruise ship port, was about 45 min but very scenic traveling through the gardens (botanical gardens are nearby and we enjoyed the cafe inside there and its beautiful to enjoy while waiting cruise ship departure time, or its a 5 min tax ride to the port if you choose to drive. Breakfast was wonderful!

We had a fantastic stay here in April. The property was clean and modern, the staff was over the top helpful, the breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day and the in-hotel restaurant on the ground floor was excellent. We will definitely be coming back.

Staff were always available and very helpful! Rooms are spacious, comfortable and the breakfast was a delicious spread! Definitely recommend to anyone going to Iceland

I made my reservation with a free breakfast included. However the hotel lied. Also my keys always stopped working. Breakfast staff and front desk staff are very rude. Spa always closed 30 minutes before the stated time.
4.1
The small Spa was only open to 6 pm due to holidays . However very small considering the size of the hotel . I could not understand why was not open w/o personal for being just a small jacuzzi and a very small pool .
4.1
hallways are dark - add more lights in the hallways, rooms are dated and need upgrades - especially bathrooms

The staff service is excellent

I was told breakfast was included in the price but it wasn’t . Had to pay at checkout. Bit crowded.

This is a great little property for a long weekend in Iceland. We weren’t aware that the spa wasn’t included in our room so we had to pay each day for it (around £15 each) which isn’t too bad but wish it was clearer on the booking. Location is good but we had to get scooters or walk to get into Reykjavik town so maybe not ideal for guests that can’t walk/travel so well.
Clean hotel and helpful staff. Nice spa and gym area! Didn’t use the restaurant or bar but looked nice enough. Our basic room had a nice view of the mountains but it was a bit old fashioned, perhaps the newer rooms are nicer. Overall a good stay!

Great property - a 10 min taxi from downtown but nice staff who let me store my luggage while we went to Spain. There is a pizza place near with delicious pizza.
4.1
Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Facilities in the hotel are great. Building works going on next to the hotel and some banging can be heard from as early as 6am, however it didnt impact our holiday at all. Would recommend

Hotel Island was very clean, comfortable, and friendly. Multilingual front desk and restaurant staff very accommodating. Food and drink delicious. Check spa hours before assuming open, but they allowed us time in the gym when the holiday hours stated closed.
