There was no coffee due to the coffee pot was broken, not sure if we had hot water as i took a shower and it was cold, told the front desk and they said boiler was out, there was a lot of homeless sleeping around the rooms that were empty, didnt feel all that safe, tv would shut off every couple hours would have to turn it back on.

It could have been better if we'd stay here before and our concerns with the bathrooms and since we got no room there were 13 flies in our bathroom and we told him about it it made seen it went and got the maintenance guy anytime I go up front to tell him I went a different room and they told me to go back to my room there's no flies there but you wouldn't tell me how they got rid of them they said that spray well you know what they did they open up the bathroom door and let him into the bedroom and therefore there is no more flies, therefore we had no more floods in the bathroom for sure but they were in the bedroom and we had to kill them all ourself and pick them up with their fingers because we hadnoo broom available in the bathroom

This is one of the best bang for your bucks in Tucson. Great location near downtown and the UofA and pet friendly is a bonus. The rooms are very clean with big, newer TV’s. The people who work at the front reception in the lobby aare always very friendly as well. Coffee is always free and fresh. Highly recommended.

Slept fine in my room, will stay again.Had no issues.

The hotel is very well located near I-10 and 1 mile from U of A Honors Village. The building seems old and the area is not safe. Although the rooms seem they have been remodeled, the general state of the place is pretty run down and dirty.
After arriving to my room and opening the door, I was hit by a very foul smell. I assumed it was because pets are welcome. Then, I noticed a random pair of gloves on the desk nobody cared to pick up. The bathroom door was opened and I walked into the bathroom to realize there was urine in the toilet sitting there for who knows for how long since the smell in the room was so strong.
I went back to the front desk to explain the situation and request a change of room. The man who assisted me only worded an annoyed yes but never apologized or offer any further assistance.
The new room seem “cleaner” but there was not hand soap in the bathroom, the TV could never connect to the Wi-Fi and the hand towels where nicely folded but never washed (there were dirty hand prints on them). By this point it was too late to find another place so I just stayed and “slept” intermittently due to the uncleanness of the place and the guests on both rooms next to mine yelling during the night and their children running around on the corridor outside my room.
I would never stay in this place again. I understand this is a budget hotel but it’s insulting they treat their guests this way.

The room was clean and big. Parking was easy and the staff were friendly.

The surrounding area was filled with homeless and people doing drugs. The drain in tub did not drain. Wouldn't give more than 2 towels without returning two towels. In general a very old property in not a great location. I've stayed at Red Roof before but none that made me feel this unsafe.

The outside could use a paint job,but in good shape. The unit i stayed in was clean and had a nice urban style furniture ensemble. I also enjoyed the big TV and programming selection. I did not appreciate the people allowed to loiter ,it brought on a negative vibe. Over all, worh the money spent.

One pet stays free
Only hotel I could find in Tucson that allows my dog to stay free. Easy fast check in, they take cash for the deposit. My favorite hotel by far.

Not bad for being a rather old facility.

Had to move the microwave to be able to plug it in, no coffee maker in the room, no breakfast, cleaning person left a dirty rag on the dresser, no do not disturb sign to hang, key cards barely worked, lots of loud guests at 3 am, pool was dirty and much smaller than appeared on the website, dead bugs in the bed

This was a terrible experience. I was awaken by knocks on the door at 1:15AM. I called front desk to take a look what was going on outside. He said he will. Then another knocks at around 1:25AM. I've had it this time. Then I called the front desk again stating that this place not secured. Somebody was still knocking on the door. So I had decided to vacate the hotel and left. I ended up slept in my car until sunrise. I'd asked the front desk to notify the manager and to call me. Nobody ever called me back. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Area was not a safe neighborhood
8.0 / 10.0
First of all this is a Red Roof Inn not a Biltmore or Four Seasons. It is not in the best neighborhood—homeless people are wandering around, but this property is very well lit. It also has a very competent and helpful night desk clerk. They also provide free, great tasting coffee
4.0 / 10.0
The Inn was pretty good but the location was sketchy and unsafe to walk. So, for the location, the nightly rate was too much.

If I could give this zero stars, I would! I chose this hotel because it had a hot tub. When I checked in, I could see trash in the hot tub and mentioned it to the desk clerk, saying I was hoping to use it. The trash stayed in the hot tub until the next day when I was checking out. The rooms face the parking lot so when relaxing in your room, you can have the curtains open for everyone to see you laying on the bed or have the blackout curtains...no sheer curtain to let in natural light. In the Expedia description, it boasts of soundproof rooms. Two kids and a mom and a dad were in the room above me (I know since I could hear them so well. I could even hear their phones on vibrate! The bathroom needed repair and a better cleaning. After a shower, I walked across to the bed and my feet were black already. The place you needed to stand to curl your hair and put on your makeup had a light that shined right into your eyes so you couldn't see. The stay was dreadful. When I responded to an expedia email for a review, the GM of this Red Roof Inn responded "I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations." What!?

Pulled up, could barely get in to the lot and once I did it was sketch central. Harassed twice before I got to the door only find a dude prowling by my car when I got out of the office. No where near as nice as the pictures, but what do you expect for the price. Super unsafe

Rooms are spacious and clean. My bathroom drain was a bit slow and the shower curtain rod was loose. Parking spaces are tight and a difficult to squeeze into. Surrounding neighborhood is sketchy, but the property feels safe. Overall, very comfortable stay.

Not good. Was supposed to have a king. I was down graded to a full size. So angry.
4.0 / 10.0
Not too bad for the price, it is an older property. My only complaint about my room was the overwhelming scent of the cleaning product that was used.

Staff was friendly, good for a short stay!
4.0 / 10.0
The Staff was very helpful and friendly, checking in and out. This was an over night stay.
The room was for 2 people. Only one chair provided that was in terrible condition. Should be replaced.
Beds were not very comfortable.
Very noisy all night both from outside and the room above and beside us.
Room service was available if you had a phone that could scan a code otherwise not available.
Neither of us were able to sleep.
I expected better from this brand.

It’s a fairly run down motel with the Red Roof Inn name, which is a bit misleading.
4.0 / 10.0
Hotel is quite run down and they don't clean until the guest leaves. Unfortunately in my case, I stayed 3 nights and my room was never cleaned.
On the positive, the hotel is just 20 minutes walking from the downtown so if you decide to walk it is feasible to make it.

Parking lot got filled up, noisy, room semi clean. Its just your average cheap motel room
