Classic looking very warm and inviting. The restaurant on property was very good also.
No room service.

Repeat visit, great value for the money, the room was spacious and clean, Cielos dinner and drinks just right and a dip in the hot tub to end the night. We will be back!

When I travel to Tucson, my home town, I always stay at The Lodge. The location is perfect, the food fantastic, and Wes knows exactly how I like my Manhattans!

They put a 250.00 hold on my credit card for 12 days.
I will NEVER use them again.

This is a beautiful, charming boutique hotel. We were informed that a complimentary breakfast is included with all bookings (an unexpected perk!). The location is convenient and yet quiet and private.
There is nothing I would change. As noted, this hotel exceeded our expectations!

Clean, comfortable and secure. Well appointed with an upmarket look and feel. The restaurant and bar were both good. Close to the city too - a short bus ride away.

Very beautiful place, everything in South-West stile, nicely decorated, wonderful location, I simply love it. Extended my stay😀
Nothing.

The desert gardens within the property were gorgeous and the historic rooms were very spacious and charming. We enjoyed the delicious continental breakfast at the restaurant each morning. The property felt very comfortable anytime of the day or night and was close to shopping, dining and the University. I would absolutely stay at Lodge on the Desert again.

property grounds were very nice and well kept. the room was large and well appointed
front desk staff, who are your first employees to encounter were very meh.
the exposed black pipe in the shower was an eyesore besides not suitable for potable water
signage at the restaurant hostess station hand written in had telling patrons to Stop here and wait to be seated was very tacky

the grounds were lovely and well maintained.
the pool area and open areas of grounds were smaller than expected.

The grounds were very well kept with beautiful landscaping. The pool and hot tub area had a nice setting, and were very relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The outdoor dining area was cozy with a fireplace. I liked that it was dog friendly.
The restaurant was very understaffed on our first night, and we had to wait about an hour and a half to be seated and get our food. This was not optimal, as we were very tired from a ling day of travel.

The breakfast was great. It was different each day. The room was comfortable, especially the bedding.
The price of the room was too much. It was $340 a night.
7.0
private balcony, outdoor space nicely arranged, breakfast had lot of options
the stairs are the only way to get to the rooms upstairs, theres no ramp for the suitcases, one need to carry them

amazing breakfast
did not get room I was promised and not informed about it at checkin

Breakfast was absolutely wonderful as was all the staff in the dining room, front desk and grounds. Facility was gorgeous and we really loved the historical aspect of the place.
The main disappointment for us was the apparent lack of regard for the environment. No recycling bins and there also appeared to be no recycling going on at all. We saw many of the the trash bins/bags filled with recyclable products. There also should have been covers for the hot tub and pool. Additionally a 2nd hot tub would have been nice as the same people seemed to be occupying it constantly and for hours at a time.’

the room service was exceptional- the price of things a little bit overpriced . I wish the breakfast was a bit different like if we wanted to just grab a yogurt and coffee without having to be seated and forced to tip.
price and not enough options for grabbing a cup of coffee on site

I didn’t like the location

Love the grounds, they were beautiful and felt safe and pleasant, loved the pool and the restaurant. The lobby is warm and inviting and the staff were all very friendly. Food at Cielos was very good - even the included breakfast was delicious! Loved that we could sit outside in the sun, the shade, covered with heaters, inside at the restaurant side or bar side! Great choices for seating preferences. Menu was a bit limited, but everything we tried was excellent. Rooms are cozy with a fireplace! We loved the fireplace and used it several times! Room was clean and comfortable.
Decor is a little dark for my taste, but the room was clean and comfortable.

clerk gave me a 50% discount upon my insistence due to problems; one of the managers helped me open the difficult door and the maintenance man removed ice and snow from my car
Heat didn't work; as a result the room was cold and the bathroom was too cold for a shower; the coffee pot couldn't reach the desk where it was safe to use and housekeeping couldn't figure out which extension cord to bring. Line was long for the "free" breakfast and we had to wait in the unusual cold outside; after 20 minutes I left and went to a restaurant for breakfast.
