The AC system in the room was out of service. Being in the attic the temp in the room was worm what made sleeping very difficult.
There was a very strong smell to sewers inside the elevator to the second floor that was also noticeable in the second floor corridor.

In January, out of season, the bar and restaurant were closed.
I was unable to make a good night herbal tea as there was no kettle on in the room.
The TV was tiny and not adjustable to make for easy viewing except in bed.

Baeza is a delightful town and the Hotel Puerta de la Luna is a perfect setting for exploring its medieval and renaissance treasures. The nearby cathedral is a must-see. The audio tour in English was one of the best we have encountered on our travels. My only disappointment was that we didn't book two nights at the hotel.

We all loved this hotel! The decor is very stylish and in keeping with this 17th century building. Staff are very friendly, rooms comfortable with good air-con and our 6 course tasting meal in
the courtyard was excellent. Delightful, romantic setting...would definitely recommend.

Pretty quiet, restaurants near the hotel, room clean and neat, very good breakfast; it was difficult to use the WI-FI... I had to open the door!!! There was a bath tub in the bathroom: I was really happy! I recommend it!

Chose this hotel for a couples escape after a very hectic year, and could not have been more delighted. The hotel itself is stunning, with picturesque courtyard, orange trees and beautiful pool surrounded by some of the hotels rooms with balconied French windows. The room we were given overlooked the terrace, and was luxurious, with a separate living area, huge comfortable bed with premium bedding, and a bathroom with jacuzzi, separate massage shower and vanity unit. Staff were attentive, professional and courteous. As it was a cold night, we decided to have dinner in the hotel, and it did not disappoint. Both my husband and were delighted with our choices of starter, main and dessert, and again the service was excellent. All in all, it was a fantastic short stay in a beautiful city. The hotel´s attention to detail will ensure you will not be disappointed. I wish I was back there now.

This hotel has a charming Andalusian courtyard replete with sour orange trees and lounging chairs. The building is impeccably restored 15th century parish house. You can't beat the feel of age and history that is reflected in every wall. The view at night of the lights on the cathedral tower sorounded by darken skies was awe inspiring. Rooms are clean and very simple with clean and functional bathrooms. Tapas bar is cozy and serves award winning tapas. Restaurant is very good and breakfast is well worth the surcharge. Parking is a few blocks from hotel but pay the extra fee to keep your car safety ensconced since Baeza is a walking paradise. Location is ideal for enjoying the town on foot and returning to hotel for a relaxing meal after a day of hiking around. Don't miss the cathedral it is exceptional and the precipitous climb to the steple is rewarded by a commanding view of the Andalucian olive tree covered hills.

A brilliant hotel. We went for a superior room and ended up under the eaves but the air conditioning was excellent so we didn't have the problems other people experienced. It was also very quiet although there was a wedding -- it may be that the hotel put us in a quiet room as we may have been upgraded. We were expecting a balcony but instead had a separate sitting room which we loved. The balconies only look over the pool anyway and are not very private if you want to sit or eat on them. (They may also not be big enough -- we could only guess from what they looked like from below.) They didn't have tables and chairs on them. We love Baeza and if we were to come back, we'd use this hotel again, no question. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The toiletries, by the way, are amazing. Hand wash and shampoo/shower gel in dispensers but you can buy them from the lobby if you are feeling rich!

Very pleasant stay. Baeza seems very quiet during Christmas.

Our stay at Hotel Puerta De La Luna was excellent. A great place to meet with friends. Good location for exploring the town of Baeza. A bit difficult to find so recommend ringing prior to arrival to get directions especially to garage at rear if driving.

We really enjoy spending one night in this charming hotel, we would come back for a couple of days next year to complete our visit of amazing Baeza, try the restaurant of the hotel and ask for room 312 again.

Loved this little hotel. Stopped on the way to Granada. Sleepy little town; beautiful hotel, nice room with private terrace. Nice restaurant.

What an incredible surprise this place was! We happened upon the Puerta de la Luna in Expedia and took a chance. We're thrilled that we did, because the website pictures do not do this hotel justice. Our room was a little on the small side, but perfectly charming and with a nicely sized bathroom. Outside our window was a beautiful view of the columned courtyard and the cathedral tower looming overhead, all dramatically lit at night. The hotel restaurant also needs a special mention - we had one of the best meals in Andalucia there, which is saying a lot. In the evening, the restaurant seating is set up around the landscaped pool, so we had a pleasant accompaniment of the pool waterfall tinkling in the background. To top it off, the hotel is right in the middle of the "zona monumental," so all of the Renaissance architecture that makes this city so famous is right outside the door.
