Wonderful place. The only thing I caution about is that if your room is upstairs, the stairs are narrow and steep. But that is part of the charm of a New England house. For us it was worth it. Great breakfast, beautiful house built in 1777.

This was a pleasant surprise in the town of Wilmington. Our room/bed was very comfortable. There was absolutely no noise to keep you up. Looking forward to coffee and breakfast this morning before we check out. The manager and owner were very nice. I definitely recommend this inn.

Friendly, accommodating hostess and support staff. Amazingly delicious breakfasts.
Several quiet sitting rooms on first floor to relax in and read quietly. And, an honor system snack bar!

Lovely one night stay. Rooms and bathrooms could use some updating but overall not too bad. Breakfast was delicious. Very friendly staff/owner.

Very cozy and comfortable! We loved the different hanging out areas. This old building has a lot of charm! Great breakfast options made by Shelly, the owner. The staff is very friendly! The location is convenient to the village area with shops and restaurants. We highly recommend this inn. We’ll plan on going back for sure! Thanks for a great weekend!

It's a very nice little B&B with a convenient location for activities in Wilmington and to Mt. Snow. Three shared living areas give you the opportunity to socialize with other guests. Great breakfast and coffee.

It's unlikely that you will find a B&B as nice as this one, very clean and comfortable with plenty of comfortable places to sit in the common areas and many interesting and unusual books. It's very close to a very charming little village with several restaurants and shops. You won't be disappointed.

This was one of the more pleasant inn experiences I've had in my lifetime. The interior was brought very much up to date nine years ago, but with respect for the original structure -- I could feel the old floorboards under the rug in my room. Mein hosts were friendly, informative, even caring. Even good gluten-free options at breakfast -- which was quite good.

I am always on the go. Despite this the staff was always trying to have me at breakfast. The place is really clean. You cannot believe the effort to keep it clean.

Steep, narrow stairs to room, musty smell, soft bed. Breakfast was delicious.

The owner originally from South Africa and England was very pleasant to deal with at check-in. (I wish that I had that accent!) She was kind enough to allow us to switch rooms at the very last moment due to a Chinese superstition about the number 4. The bedroom was clean with a comfortable mattress, but it was only 9' X 14' with a bathroom that was only 3' X 8'. Poor picture quality on half the flatscreen channels. Quite honestly, we felt that the accommodations were overpriced at $218.90. Coffee and juices were available at 7:00 AM, but we missed breakfast at 8:15 AM because we had an early appointment. Our stay was OK, but we're really not sure that we would stay there again.

Our stay was very comfortable. The room was clean and there were 3 areas downstairs where one could read and relax. There were lots of books and various games available. There were 4 choices at breakfast and each one was tempting.

The Location is convenient! 3 Minutes driving to downtown. and 15 mins driving to Mt Snow. I will definitely comeback if I go ski at Mt Snow again.

Lovely property with friendly hosts. Our room was great; clean and spacious.
The property also had lots of other living rooms that could be used as well, to socialise, play games or read quietly.
Fabulous breakfast too!

My husband and I spent 1 night at the Nutmeg on a recent Vermont Route 100 road trip. We arrived around 6 PM so we weren’t able to get a view of the outside until the morning. The inn was warm and inviting as soon as we walked through the door. Our room was on the first floor, next to the game room. The was another couple playing scrabble and inside our room we couldn’t hear a thing, however if you are a light sleeper, try for a second floor room. You can really hear the traffic at night. The breakfast was amazing and the chocolate chip cookies were delicious. We never met the owner, but the woman who brought us our breakfast was very sweet and told us the history of the house. My only complaint would be the carpet in our room was a worn and old, but carpeting is one of my personal quirks. The hardwood floors in other areas are beautiful and I just wished we had that look in our room. All in all a good stay and we would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Wilmington.

It was a nice old building,

Very comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast, although the menu offerings were identical both mornings. Would have enjoyed some variety. As mentioned in other reviews, the staircase to the second floor is narrow and steep, which could be challenging for less able-bodied guests. About a half-mile to town center, but too dangerous to walk due to fast-moving traffic and lack of sidewalk or other separation from the highway. A very acceptable accommodation, but would opt for closer proximity to town on our next visit.

The Nutmeg is a quaint, homey B&B. The hostess and her staff were very kind, helpful, and friendly. We were there three nights and every morning we enjoyed a different homemade healthy hot breakfast. The owner was VERY helpful in suggesting places to visit, how to get there, and restaurants. Our room (5B) was spacious, bright, a nice view, closet to hang things, and a nice shower. The heating was a problem but I know they are bringing in someone to repair it and the owner provided space heaters if we needed. One warning, we arrived at 6 pm and most local restaurants were closed...those that were open were already full. So we made reservations for the next night. There are several wonderful reading rooms and games to play if you like. Enjoy! Sue
