The trip overall was fantastic. Great staff at reception who were very helpful and kind. The hotel itself is situated in a lovely setting and the hotel didn’t disappoint. The food in the restaurant was fantastic (recommend the steak!). The spa was just what we needed after New Years, numerous jacuzzis, steam and sauna and a lovely swimming pool.
We will return to the Stromstad Spa and resort in the future, highly recommended!

Hotel in an amazing setting outside the centre of Strömstad. Situated by the waterfront the hotel has views looking into Strömstad centre with the water separating the two. It is also close to one of Sweden’s national parks at Koster (islands).
The hotel has onsite parking (extra fee 110kr a day) with a few charging points for electric vehicles. Several onsite pools, spa area which is great, note children are allowed in during specified hours. The outdoor terrace bar can get popular, also an outdoor pizzeria. Restaurant inside is very good with a good a la carte menu, that said one can also order from the pizzeria if needed.
Room was spacious for a family of 4( deluxe room) with a separate double room for the adults and a pull out sofa bed in the lounge. We also had a balcony
The negative was at night the room was extremely hot, there is no air conditioning which made the room feel like a sauna. We tried to open the doors to the balcony at night but the wind was too strong that it came off the latch and and the door was banging about. We had no other choice but to shut the door and bear with it for 2 nights. The room wasn’t cheap so we were surprised about the lack of A/C. We were on the 6th floor so the wind it noticeably different to those lower down.
When I sat on the balcony on both mornings it was evident the chefs were preparing breakfast, there was a strong smell of bacon coming from the extractor fans. For the hotel’s reference we were in Room 2603.

A girls’ escape. Very nice spa treatments. Lovely property. Dining at the restaurant is a wonderful experience: great food and a knowledgeable staff who care to make it a fun evening. Good shopping in a small charming seaside town.

The amenities at the resort were great. Many areas to lounge, dining and bar areas were comfortable. The downside was the room - I shared a room with a coworker and we were placed in a room in a building next to the main building which not preferably but also not a big deal. However the room we were given had a single small window that faced the hallway. So anyone walking by could see into our room if we left it open. This was the only source of natural light, which was very minimal due to being in the hallway, so the room was always dark. That did not create a great vibe. The shower is...interesting. There is not a door to enclose yourself when taking a shower, only a single flexible glass wall on one side. it really hard to explain without seeing it. Nonetheless, the result is that water would get everywhere whenever we would take a shower. I was here for conference so had to opportunity to check out other rooms that my friends stayed in and they were MUCH MUCH better. Better lighting, wider space, more comfortable beds, just a much greater overall vibe. And we paid the same price. It should not be this hit and miss if occupants are paying the same amount. Also we did not have any lotion in our rooms, which for a spa resort in such a dry environment, I found surprisingly. Bottom line - great if you get one of the better rooms. Okay to meh if you get the room I got.

This beautiful resort is just few minutes from the town of Strømstad, which connects to Sandefjord, Norway by ferry. The hotel is modern, clean, nice rooms, and had comfortable beds and a great lobby and bar.

We had noisy nabours the first night, the second night was quiet. We were missong air condition in our room, it was extremely hot, even with the window open. We had massages, and that was so good! And the same with pedicure! Top staff and great food.

This hotel was recently taken over by the Whitten Corporation. They were in the middle of renovation. Our room was good. Breakfast was great and the pool area nice. They had a shuttle to take us to the Adventure District.
