Comfortable room and great space for a trip, great location, friendly staff. Biggest disappointment was no fridge or microwave in the room. Stayed during a cold snap so we could not leave food in the vehicle or it would freeze, and nothing to keep it cool in the room. A minor issue but overall would stay again, and bring a durable cooler. Hot tub area was nice.

The Fox is our favourite place to stay in Banff. Check out the hot springs-inspired hot tub! Absolutely worth it.

Great hotel. Clean. Friendly staff.
We enjoyed it

This is our favorite hotel in Banff, the rooms are cozy and its one of the nicer ones that has a closing bedroom door if you have kiddos with nap time. We always look forward to our stay.

Great staff and location! Having Chilis part of the hotel was a huge benefit as well.
The room was way too small, beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bed sheets are most definitely not up to par during winter months.

At the time of check in, I was notified of planned elevator service for the following 3 days so I had to manage my bags from the parkade to the 3rd floor. Not impossible but definitely inconvenient.
The fact there is no fridge in the room was not stated anywhere. I don’t recall a single hotel in the past 10 years I’ve stayed at without a fridge. This was definitely a negative.
Finally, the coffee setup was a small pot, but the grounds themselves were undrinkable. Consider bringing your own if you stay here unless you enjoy the flavour of hot sock-water.

Heck in was easy, but parking garage was overfill, impossible to park in, no near parking, room was very cramped , pool is cool, room was clean, but rather then put hold on credit card, they put purchase, for deposit, and still have not reversed it, even tho front desk person said he was doing right as I passed in my key, (don’t lie) I’ve stayed at other places in Banff, and unless you really need a fake cave pool, I’d probably stay elsewhere.

My husband slipped in the tub due to residue left. He spoke with the property manager

While the suite we reserved was adequate, little things were annoying such as the thermostat in the bedroom being inoperative, the bathroom and facilities were minuscule. The main living space was crowded and poorly arranged. On the other hand, the view of the mountains from the living room window was spectacular.

Great experience and unique and wonderful spa. Great location and the nicest Chilli's I've experienced.

Hotel rooms getting a little dated and tired these days, missing a mini fridge, have that slightly damp smell at times. Also forgot how the Fox is that little bit further to walk from downtown in the cold. Still a comfortable stay though.

Good stay, nice place. Used the grotto pool and sauna in the basement. The room was spacious and had a kitchenette. Had an older coffee maker.
Banff has gotten very expensive - I would not say the price was equal to the value.

The room was extremely loud. Our room was under a set of stairs and it was constant banging

There was nothing special about the property for the astronomical price tag.

Convenient location to town, hot tub was a nice experience, was able to check in early. Walkable to town. The hotel is beginning to show it's wear however but not too bad.

It would be nice if they updated their applicances like a Keurig for coffee pots so you could have more coffee selections. Other than that the stay was nice

Close to downtown strip but far away enough from the crowds. Parking was free & free bus service to downtown as VIP member was nice. Rooms were small & did not have a refrigerator or air conditioning (we did not need). Pool & hot tub open to outside which was unique.

Highly recommend. A family of four enjoyed 3 night stay at this hotel. Location is wonderful, walking distance to all the Banff town can offer and at a relative quiet end of the main street. The town shuttle stop is right in front of the hotel. Cave-style hot spa is a good heal and relax experience. Our suite room is spacious and well maintained. The entire hotel is lodge style which itself is a beauty. Staff is friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fox Hotel. Blake at the front desk was super helpful and he took time to explain our room situation as we had booked four rooms and needed two rooms to not have stairs going up to the room front entrance (the hotel is a lodge style hotel with separate unit entrances). They also placed a crib in one of our rooms, which was great attention to details as they noticed we have one infant in our group. The hotel was very accommodating regarding our needs. One of the rooms had a toilet water leaked when we checked in, but they worked on it quickly and fixed the problems in about 2 hours while we were at dinner. Overall service from the front desk and the hotel engineer was great. It was also fantastic the hotel provided free ROAM transit passes. We used them every day and it was so convenient for our large group. The sauna and hot pool were super nice too. My only slight complaint was that the vending machines never worked, and we could not buy bottled water; however, Chilis let us refill our water bottles which was helpful. The hotel Chilis restaurant staff were really nice too. On Aug 24 evening, our server (Filipino gentleman) was super nice and recommended great dishes to us. On Aug 28 morning at breakfast, our server (super nice Filipino lady) was so genuinely nice and very helpful to us. She was very personal, and we really enjoyed talking with her. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Fox Hotel.

Complained to the property as the AC was not working and rooms were hot and stuffy and couldn’t get any good sleep

I was spending my honeymoon that night and it was very busy and noisy in other side of my room. I couldn’t sleep that much and I asked to the front desk to give me extra time to check out and he said no you have to leave soon, I ask for extra hour just to organize myself because I didn’t have sleep because of the noise last night and they said if you stay more you will get charged so I have to rush so I am not going back there anymore . Front don’t have customers service and hotel was 300 $ ) a night

The front desk staff was incredible! All staff was very attentive and immediately took care of even the smallest requests. We would definitely stay there again.

Thr hot pool was the high light of our stay. Having an underground parking also a plus. Liked the ski lodge look of the hotel.

The shower didn’t drain. The room was not accessible. The toilet didn’t flush. There was no staff around to ask anything. Being VIP with Expedia we were told we got a $15 food and beverage credit so we ate at the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast. They refuse to give us $15 off. It was also the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. I’m not sure how eggs Benedict could be so bad but it was terrible.
I will never stay here again.

One of the most unique hotels in Banff I've been too, sort of feels like you're in a fancy tree house. Hot tub is absolutely incredible, stay here!

Property was lovely and our stay was very enjoyable from start to finish. We especially loved the fact that housekeeping came every day to give us fresh towels and make our bed. That was what hotels in the US used to do, but many do NOT anymore!! The staff were all friendly and the hot tub was a real treat after a long day of hiking!
