The hostel is amazing! It is located in a gorgeous part of the city, the staff is great! If you are an early riser, bring your own coffee though.

Lots of community space, great kitchen, and comfy bunk beds. Note: no elevator. Pretty location next to park.

Beautiful location overlooking Kelvingrove Park, very convenient for the university, museums and getting into the city centre. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of space in self-catering dining room. Lounge looking out over the park, and another with a table tennis table. Second floor room was a little chilly in spite of the radiator working hard, but the shower worked and everyone was clean and good. Good value for money.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were the nicest I’ve ever stayed in a hostel. Plenty of communal rooms with books/tv/etc and the self-serve kitchen was well stocked and clean.

Excellent place to stay, beautiful area with easy transport options, friendly helpful staff, well equipped kitchen - all at great prices! Couldn’t ask for more.

a beautiful, elegant building; and a good self-catering kitchen; and a nice touch of providing hot drinks in the reception area, so that it was very welcoming.

Very quiet. Across from Kelvingrove Park. Nice location.

There wasn’t any way of getting to the upper floors except stairs which I have difficulties doing also the window didn’t open very much so we roasted to death. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough at the time there were some in my room who thought they were privileged and got the staff to bring down their cases that weighed a ton and they did it even though they didn’t have to

The building was beautiful and the location was perfect but our room was cold with poor lighting. There were also insufficient plugs in the room. Ventilation could have been better as every shower made the room rather humid.

Absolutely beautiful area Glasgow, our ensuite twin room looked out onto Kelvingrove Park, the building is a Victorian Townhouse in a very well to do area. Rooms were clean, staff were very friendly and helpful and just minutes away from shops, bars, restaurants etc. Huge kitchen and dining area with everything we needed, I would definitely stay again

We had a nice, although short, stay at the Glasgow Youth Hostel. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and gave us a good recommendation for dinner at a local restaurant. We were able to easily walk to the restaurant, although it was a climb back up the hill to the hostel. Ha. The rooms were typical hostel rooms -- nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable.

Bed was comfy, not sure about the shower screen, anyone can òpen it while you are in it, not a comfortable feeling. Kitchen and dinning area were clean but the lounge had zero vibe. The person who checked me in was very unenthusiastic. Felt like I was an inconvenience, despite having paid more than wanted to for one night.

Firstly when you climb up the hill from bus stop you turn left walk to end of street and are faced with countless steep steps to climb to reach the actual street where hostel is located . Not practical if you have a large case or mobility. I luckily only had a backpack. The room was disappointing too as was advised and given a small card to place in a piece of plastic supposedly tied to bed to advise other people in room this was your bed ! Mine was missing as were others in the 4 bed room. There is also no individual lights and as I arrived back from SSE Hydro around 11.30 pm other people in room were asleep and as I didnt want to wake them could not put on overhead bright light and therefor, as my bed luckily was opposite the bathroom, I was able to put bathroom light on and open door a little to find my pjs and toiletries to wash. The girl who left very early morning appeared to also have same problem. The view from room was non existent and terrible as back of property. Room was old. I decided to leave without breakfast when I learned there was no machine for coffee. Staff was ok but not particularly helpful or friendly. No I would not return and definitely would not recommend.
