Look it’s not the ritz but it’s clean, bed is comfy and for £85 and a 3 min walk to Paddington station it’s the perfect place to lay your head after a night out in London

Unfortunately we were given a room in the basement.

I had a basement room. The noise from the boiler was constant. When you went on the street there was steam from the boiler.
Shower was good. Breakfast was good.
Lucky i brought my own pillow as the hotel ones were small and thin.
The sound proofing was poor. We could hear people walking around upstairs all night long plus all sorts of wierd noises.
We were staying 2 days. The wardrobe had just 1 coat hanger.
The building door to the street didnt lock so not sure about security.
I stay in london often and this was very disappointing.
2.5
Very close to Paddington Station, surprisingly economic, and while the overall environment was basic, the room was fully equipped with new sanitary items and shower, plus a good TV and fully adequate Tea / Coffee facilities and reasonably comfortable bed. Good continental breakfast in clean dining area.

Arrived early morning after a long flight from the USA and desk staff was able to get my room ready and checked in before noon without any additional charge.

No real welcome. Very surly reception. Lock on bedroom door broken. Uninspired breakfast, limited choice and cramped service area. Lift not working. Had to climb four flights of stairs. All in all, very disappointing.

Within easy walking distance from Paddington station. Plenty of good eating places nearby. Good simple breakfast. Disappointed that our rooms were only accessible via a flight of stairs but help with our cases was appreciated.

Entrance hall was disgusting, very dirty with rubbish stacked up against the wall then next morning tray of uneaten meat and rice.
Room was ok but very small for 2 people.

Hotel staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Decor is slightly dated, in parts, but that did not bother us at all. Location was perfect for us, with Paddington station and restaurants of all cuisine right on the doorstep.

it was ok

Good location to transit.

Good

The hotel is very well located but outdated (broken shower head, broken wall seal, poor insulation).
The staff are friendly and helpful.

Cheap still needs to be of a useable standard!! Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in anywhere in the world.
I’d suggest you just as well place your bed in the centre of Piccadilly Circus.
just a few issues ..
1)entry door from the busy street lock didn’t work
2)window that didn’t close
3)ALL NIGHT DOORS SLAMMING
4)CHILDREN RUNNING AROUND PLAYING ON THE LANDINGS ALL NIGHT
5)CONSTANTLY KNOCKING ON DOORS
not sure if the house across the street my room was in was part of the hotel or some poorly converted immigration hostel
but incredibly the bathroom was spotlessly clean

Hotel is in a great location and is closed to a few bars and restaurants. About a 4 minute walk from paddington station.
The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The room was small but clean however for the price we paid we have 0 complaints and will stay again next time we visit London

Room like a shoe box. Curtains short letting in light. Bathroom small but ok. Very close to transport is the only big plus. Breakfast good but some very unhealthy practices. Like tongs used by patrons being kept on the meats and cheeses in the bins. A health inspector would close breakfast down. Believe me with people coughing and sneezing then handling those tongs, discusting.

Staff did not feel motivated. No elevator access to 4th floor rooms.

Completely average.

Everything was great for a one night stay on the way to Heathrow. Only negative was lack of air conditioning given the unseasonably warm weather.

Room was stinking. They did not change the room. It was bad experience. Staff was not cooperative

Day 1, bedbug on the bed. Days 2-5 waking up to the smell of burnt toast from the breakfast room because the kitchen servants can't make toast properly. Extreme noise from traffic and people passing on Sussex Place at night.
Staff were almost all miserable and unhelpful. Breakfast is limited if you have dietary restrictions, just full cream milk with burnt toast and some other things. There was little attention to safety at the hotel, I nearly fell a badly hurt myself of a hidden step near the entrance. Lift only works for SOME of the upstairs rooms, beware.
If you are able to still cancel your reservation in time, I suggest you do it. Quite often room prices will go down close to arrival also, so don't worry. There are better hotels in the area, that are cheaper.

I booked for 2 days to be near Paddington. The first nught the put me in the annex across the street. No internet and filthy hallways. Manager understood and moved me to a much better room in the main building the next morning. That was fine. Would stay in that building again.

Really good location. Would stay again

Room was basic… comfortable beds…but I don’t think the bed cover should be used in place of a duvet with a cover that can be washed..room and bathroom are looking a bit tired and in need a renovation… breakfast was acceptable…

As a cheap room for a brief stop over it was fine but there was no hot water and the shower room facilities very tight. Someone not adept at stairs would struggle to get to the fourth floor rooms which are accessed by a very narrow staircase

This was one of the worst hotel I ever stayed ! Service was terrible , breakfast was disgusting,
3.0
the location is quite convenient. The elevator is very small and only reaches 2 out of 4 floors, with a steep stair to get to the 4th floor (quite challenging with big luggage).
1.0
Low maintenance, towels were dirty and smelled bad
3.0
The lift did not reach the third floor. The plumbing in the bathroom was inefficient and at one point water came through the bathroom ceiling. Toilet flush hard to operate and shower difficult to maintain a suitable warm temperature.
5.0
Great place to use as a base to explore London. 5minute walk to Paddington and a lot of room in the 3 person room.
4.0
Good location. Relaxing stay
2.0
Clean and comfortable room so overall happy considering the price we paid. Only slight negative was the lady in charge of the breakfast in the morning as she was a bit snappy when i tried to take a plate of croissants back to my room - its not allowed apparantly, you have to sit at a table in a tiny, overcrowded dining room!
2.5
Excellent value and location. Efficient staff

Well located hotel, Parking out side just to go to reception desk is tricky. I paid them to park at another hotel round the corner. The hotel is manned by one person. Room was good with great shower. Breakfast was continental and good. Busy hotel. I will stay again. Close to Theatres - 2 underground stops and short walk. Uber taxis cost £15-20

It was alright. You get what you pay for. The room and bathroom was clean. Staff could have been friendlier and more welcoming.
