Staff are friendly and informative. Breakfast was nice. Location is great. Free parking is a big plus. AC worked sporadically. Rooms had a slight odor.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely. However, the room floor was dirty and not swept prior to arrival. Window was left open prior to arrival and we had numerous flying bugs in the room. Given it is an old property the amenities, specifically in the bathroom, were lacking. High step in tub, narrow and difficult to shower in. I regret not being able to recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located on the edge of old town, by the bay and next to the Venetian Fortress. It has a convenient parking onsite which is a big plus for a hotel located in old town Rethymno. The room is clean and the staff very friendly and welcoming. The location is ideal for exploring old town and surrounding area. Rethymno Beach is on 15 minutes walk away. Dining options in old town is endless.

Hotel in a lovely position right near the castle and old town, great for exploring and loads of restaurants nearby. The "suite" was a little underwhelming - just a small extra room with a mini-kitchen, table and single bed all wedged in. Breakfast had a good variety and the public areas were clean and quiet, but could have done with something to give some shade for the roof terrace.

Staff - Gia so very lovely and incredibly attentive. She gave us some fantastic suggestions for restaurants, day trips and shopping. Best safe hotel thus far on our 2 week honeymoon

When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly front desk manager, who upgraded us without us even asking. A great experience unfortunately only for one night.

Character property, excellent location and very walkable.

Adonis was a gracious host, and we especially enjoyed talkig with Nikki, who was part of the staff. Our apartment was spacious, and had a nice balcony with a nice city view that also looked out on the Fortezza. Adonis oriented us to the neighborhood with suggestions and a map. We had kitchen facilities that were very convenient and our bed and air conditioning made our sleep very comfortable. We were even able to easily extend our stay on short notice. We definitely recommend Palazzo Vecchio!

We stayed for a week and were made very welcome. The room was clean and comfortable and the air-conditioning efficient, keeping the room cool. Staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Nikki who always made us feel that all guests are important and special.

This property is situated in the heart of the old part of Rethymno. Beautiful view of the fort. The central courtyard the property is a great place to have breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. The room was comfortable. I would request a room though with no windows on the street though. The staff were very friendly and very helpful.

A very warm welcome from the manager on arrival. The room was large with a fridge. The breakfast was very good. The location was excellent right by the old quarter. The car park was excellent and we left our car there the following morning after checkout which was handy. We were sorry only had one night there.

Overpriced compared to other accommodation stayed at during our travels across Crete. Breakfast was poor.It could be a H&S issue with going up 2 flights of stairs from the small courtyard pool to the sun terrace.Water coming up the floor waste when bath water left out.

Under the castle walls in Rethymnon, ideal position to dump car and head out to many of the eateries and shops, the Palazzo Vecchio is a small quiet hotel with nice friendly staff.

A very nice hotel located a short walk from the centre of the old town with lots of restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beware the ground floor rooms around the courtyard if you like a morning lie in. They can be noisy with people taking early breakfast in the courtyard.

Very nice hotel, though its showing its age. The staff was extremely friendly, the breakfast was lovely and the location was ideal. That said, the hotel room itself needs some TLC and updating for sure.

What a little gem the Palazzo Vecchio hotel is, tucked away in a quiet, tranquil corner of the historic Old Town. It’s boutique size belies it’s classy, intimate atmosphere and the friendly dedicated staff provided an excellent service during my stay. Full marks from me!

We don’t often write reviews, but felt we had to because it is such a gem of a place to stay. A renovated, authentic building - not just any old boring hotel. Reasonably priced.
Located just on the edge of the Old Town - perfect for evening strolls out to the many quality restaurants, shops and bars through idyllic alleyways, shaded by overhanging flora. Short walk to the bus station and a pleasant twenty minutes to the sandy beaches.
The staff were absolutely lovely and the rooms kept beautifully throughout our stay. Relaxing to eat breakfasts in the cosy courtyard around the marble plunge pool. A good centre to take a ferry across to Santorini for the day and visit Heraklion, Prevali and Arcadi monasteries.
