No hot water in bathroom sink; heater did not work; window screen popped out & not able to pop back in. Would not stay again, definitely was not worth the price we paid.
My son’s ceiling fan did not work in his room.

Easy, quick check-in. Friendly service. Offered card for 2 free cinnamon rolls from the restaurant next door for breakfast, which we got and were tasty. Room was clean, bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Pillows were nice. We left the window cracked open and the fan on. In early November it was cold and perfect. There was a window fan and a space heater in the closet we could have used if needed, but we didn’t need them.

Small room but clean and, very importantly quiet! The owner gives a voucher for 2 huge and delicious buns in the morning. Strong coffee in room

We have stayed here several times over the years. However THIS trip was our last one. No one at the desk to check us in. In the break/snack room there was food all over the floor and liquids spilled everywhere. When the manager/owner showed up I pointed it out to him and in replied that someone was sabotaging the place and there was nothing he could do.

fun times at the ocean

When we arrived at the property there was a piece of paper telling us just to go to our room. Key was on the table. There was hair on the bathroom walls. Shower was small, no air conditioning or heat. Windows didn’t lock and smelled horrible. When I woke up there was two bugs on the bed looked to be possibly bed bugs. But I’m not a bug expert. Wouldn’t stay again. I hate to write this but would want to know.

There was no AC. This should have been made clear in the amenities and I’m not sure that it was. While the weather tends to be cool the humidity is noticeable. No AC means open windows which means outside noise — people loud talking laughing interrupts sleep. Had to politely ask people to lower voices. TV remote didn’t work and limited cable channels. Otherwise, clean, quaint convenient to Morro Rock and bay.

Would definitely stay here again. They were able to accommodate us having a late arrival (after 5pm). Cute little town, easy walk to restaurants and shops.

Motel 6 level at oceanfront.

Right on the seafront. Easy walking to the otter nursery area and great views of the rock, fog permitting.

It's a shabby hotel, but the staff was helpful and the location is great!

Location is perfect

The bedding was disgusting. There was hair all over it upon arrival. There was black mold in the shower. There was also an electrical issue in the bathroom and the lights would sputter randomly.

room and bathroom were super small, noisy ,

The bed is old and mattress needs to be replaced. Light fixtures/lamps dont work. Musty smell.

Easy. Convenient.

The location is great , out of the room and walk to the rock and to the strip of businesses . The room is small not a whole lot of space. Bed not too comfy but for a one night stay it was great spot for walking.

Bed was really uncomfortable and Walls to thin.

It was quiet and was good for the price. The cinnamon roll was a nice treat, and the cafe was delicious.

Nice quiet place, everything's a walking distance. Decent prices 👌 . Just rooms were small other than that i would recommend

Nice stay, rooms are small but clean and comfortable bed. Nice outdoor area with lots of greenery. Very walkable to beach and Embarcadero. Cinnamon rolls in the morning from Frank and Lola's were really good. Pet friendly but you have to walk elsewhere for them to go potty. Very nice overall and family owned.

This is an old hotel with small rooms. The patio area and location made it worth it.

We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to make it an annual thing. The only complaint was the bed. It was sagging on my husbands side. The staff were wonderful. Thank you

Room are too small. No daily cleaning. No A/C.

It’s a bit old and run down but mostly clean.

First room we were assigned to had such an aggressive, harsh chemical cleaner smell that I got a migraine. Second room floors were dirty and the sink leaked so in the morning was walking in several inches of water to go use the bathroom. Would not recommend and will absolutely not ever be back.

Considering that the location of the Bayfront Inn is right on the waterfront on Embarcadero, you couldn't have asked for a better location and $110 for the nightly rate on a Sunday night is excellent for this location, in my opinion. But the place is quite small and the room was the smallest motel room I've ever seen. You could barely walk around the foot of the bed without running into the wall. The property is pretty old and it looks and feels like it. The bed was not very comfortable, the state of repair was not great (there was mold on the bathroom exhaust fan cover and the paint was peeling off the ceiling above part of the shower and there was some black stuff in some of the grout in the shower. Other parts of the room needed some attention, also. And when housekeeping made up the bed, the put on the bottom sheet, then the blanket, then the top sheet. I've never seen that done before. On top of that, the description of the room on hotel.com said the room had a king size bed. It did not. The room had a full size bed at best. But it is pet friendly (there's a modest pet fee per night) and is directly facing Morro Rock and the various shops and restaurants on Embarcadero.

Neighbor dog barked too much when left alone. Gladly his owner was with him at night.
Clean room staff was nice.
Loved the weather but I need an AC no matter how cold it is,, I didn’t pay attention it didn’t have one,, thank goodness it had fans.
Amazing walking distance and views

Perfectly priced. Perfect location to bay, shops, restaurants! I admit I did happen to doze off sitting in the cool breeze on the elevated viewing deck. lol. If anyone asks, I was just resting my eyes.

The bed was very comfortable!! Walls are way too thin. Run down, much need of repairs. Small room. Free cinnamon rolls from Frankie and Lola’s was great.

They need to put some money into the property.
Lights out in room floor needed repair , bathroom sink drains slow.

Welcoming check-in in the most central location for Morro Bay. Room decor was a little ‘tired’ however, though comfortable enough. Cinnamon buns a nice bonus from bakery next door for breakfast.

We love this place, dog friendly, very convenient to shopping and eating. The rooms are small and the place is dated, but we enjoyed our time here.

I love this place! It’s retro in the best ways! The area is very safe. Ppl are super nice and courteous! The community is wonderful. The residents are protective of the wildlife, as they should be! This is my go-too vacation spot now!

The place was adorable, easy check in too, but the room was a bit uncomfortable. No A/C, only a ceiling fan and window to open, but that cooled the room at night. The mattress felt like it was 20 years old and the pillows were very flat, but hey, we still enjoyed Morro Bay.

Only concern is that there are steep stairs for the room where we stayed, but that allows for a great view from room 20

Place was nice and cozy easy with the animals nice spot right on the bay with a good view
