Very well located place, clean, comfortable, nicely arranged and well furnished. Todd is an amazing host:kind, friendly, available and very helpful.
Bonus: there’s a rooftop terrace with a BBQ.
Only small negative point: the suite is a half basement unit with exposed bricks. They’re beautiful but it’s a bit humid. You just need to run the dehumidifier which is in the room

Heat was by window air conditioner, so hot you couldn't breathe, foundation is shifting, wall is crooked going up the stairs, pictures are deceiving to conditions at the hotel.
We booked for three people and they can only accommodate 2 per room. The owner blamed expedia for booking it, he said it was set, i had to forward him my booking, refused to refund even though we could not stay.

A unique heritage suite! If you don’t like character, this is not for you! We loved the outdoor common deck - perfect for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. We were in the John A. McDonald suite, and loved it. Just a note - it IS up a steep staircase, so mobility challenged folk may have trouble getting luggage up there. We would be very happy to stay there again.

Water pressure for shower was extremely low.

House was filled with mold smell. Huge cracks in wooden floor. Boutique hotel does not mean so old doors do not shut securely, bed mattress worn out and so uncomfortable. Never saw any property person. Only good thing was location to old Charlottetown. Could hear everyone else in hotel including barking dogs.

Close to shore and restaurants. Property need some up grade in some of the suite ?

Convenient location. Very hospitable and helpful landlord and staff. The property is close to the centre of town and the water front.

Funky old building turned into a hotel. Our room was nice and comfortable with some old charm. I loved the multiple outside decks as a common area. Close and very walkable to all the downtown restaurants and waterfront. Reasonable priced for the area. Ok, the big negative. The room smells of old smoke...ugh... really bad in bathroom. At night, if you shut bathroom door and run the air, its not bad. If you are sensitive to smoke, go somewhere else. Hot water pressure is a little weak too. If its wasn't for the smoke, i would give it a 5, but that's a major knock down.

Very handy to downtown by foot. Lot of great restaurants nearby.

Rooms not insulated for sound. Bed was smaller than advertised. Helpful staff. Beautiful heritage building.

The outside patio was cool

Absolutely nothing like the pictures that you see online to advertise. There’s an awful smell walking into the building and in our room. Very run down.

Renovated old home in downtown Charlottetown. Looks gorgeous from outside. First impression inside was good regarding condition but the first floor hallway smelled of cat pee. Our room was on the third floor and smelled fine and was clean. However some of the renovations and conversion to a hotel are a bit lacking. Portable AC unit plumbed out the window. Tiny shower stall. Not one place to hang a towel. Had to move a table to get into the washroom. Having said all that...we got a good night sleep and it was a great location to be able to walk around Charlottetown and check out the downtown and pubs.

Noisy room by the street, old mattress, the shower is outdated, and hard to get warm water in the shower. Was disappointed the picture on the site don’t match at all. Maybe just that suite.

Good spot decent price comfortable bed
Shower was a bit wonky but good overall balue for one night

More resembles a motel than a boutique B&B experience. Our sheets were stained and dirty, and the fridge had food/opened cans from the guests before which made us skeptical of the overall cleanliness of the room. The hallways smell really unpleasant of urine/cigarette smoke. I would not recommend this place, given how many other options are in the area.

A converted old house with Victorian charm. The host was very responsive to requests. An easy walk to downtown Charlottetown.
Quibbles: Our room, #1, was by the front door and the hallway's air conditioner was loud. The shower's plumbing was wonky; we informed the host and hopefully it's now fixed. The shower lacked a place to put things (soap etc.). Not enough electrical outlets by the bed (all in use); more are needed for phone chargers etc.

Needs alot of upgrading. Bathroom was awful, shower is very small, no place to put toiletries moldy corners in shower and bottom of shower curtain, door didnt shut. No place to hang your clothes. Outdoor area is nice but patio furniture needs to be replaced.

Only thing available. Great communication from property manager. Room definitely dated, the door wasn’t totally shut when I arrived, as well as it was incredibly difficult to open and close. Literally had to put all of my body weight into it. However, bed was clean, comfy and great a/c!

Beautiful Victorian building. Great location in downtown Charlottetown with free parking available. Room was very clean and comfortable and owner was accommodating to our requests. Very reasonably priced as well.
The room had much of the original charm left intact, aside from the mini kitchenette area that looked a little junky and out of place. The bathroom was quite small, but functional.
Overally, we loved our stay here and would definitely come back the next time we travel to Charlottetown.

Todd communicated with us as to how to get in, but we never met or saw him. The room was adequate but looked out on to the Quality Inn parking lot. There is no communal space in the building. It was clean, but not a “boutique hotel”.

Pros: Easy, hassle free check-in. Quick, helpful replies from owner. Location is excellent, walking distance to town. Good AC at a very hot period. Outdoor sitting area on decks. Secured parking. Comfortable bed. Clean room. They tried to think of all needs for the room. Cost of room was good. We had a good sleep both nights and felt the bed was good quality.
Cons: We had no hot water for shower— we don’t know if it was due to weather. Floor in washroom was spongy so would need a look for soft floorboards. The room was small so bed against wall and limited space for luggage. Decor was okay.
I think the place is good for backpackers, younger couple, those who are thrifty. It lacked the feel and decor of heritage and is more practical in nature. There are a lot of stairs and no railing for top floor, with ledge to outdoor sitting area — so suggest it is not the right place for older couples, families or those with bad knees or low mobility.
We saw a room on main floor which was quaint and larger so our selection might not have been the best — however we slept well and felt the location was ideal. I think you need to search for the option that suits your needs — this was fine for us.

Quirky boutique hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here despite a few shortcomings. Hot water and water pressure are issues. Our room was pretty small. This is not a place for anyone with any physical or mobility issues.

Great location, arriving and there was no toilet paper and only a few pieces of towels. No place in bathroom to plug in a blow dryer or shaver. It is an old building so you have to accept certain things. Had to pay up front when making the reservation with no refund available if canceled. Most reservations you can pay when you arrive.

This lovely place was within walking distance to downtown. I was travelling alone and felt very safe. The room I was in needed some fixing up but it didn’t affect my stay.

The room was clean. The whole building smelled like urine.

Property was close to many things to see and do. Parking was good.
Room was average. Air conditioner was ok , noisy and did cool the room.
Bathroom door did not close, hot water took awhile to get hot , warm.
Remote for volume on the tv was not available, we asked the person in charge and he said he would have to get one , never did.
Would not stay there again.

The lobby smells of mold, the bed is uncomfortable and there is limited staff available most times of the day.

Since this is a pet friendly stay, someone must have brought their cat in the unit before us and the whole place smelled like cat piss. It was unbearable, and the ac wasnt working.
Lots of amenities though, you can use the bbq. We had to share our meal outside with a dozen bees, maybe a nest needs to be relocated.

Older residence….needs some serious TLC….great location…friendly owner…quick to fix something…
3.0
Bed was comfortable, but everything else was dated and in need of repair. Lots of flies in the window and room. Toilet was right along side the wall, no space next to it, just the wall, so you had to sit at an angle. Shower did not look welcoming at all. Offers free parking, but space is very tight. But very conveniently located.

Great experience. Great outdoor deck spaces. Comfy bed. Lots of amenities kitchenette wise. Great location within walking distance of downtown. Friendly owner. Safe and quiet.

The electrical was questionable. The floor in the bathroom had some give.( I’m not a big person and the floor had a lot of bounce), the shower was very small, not suitable for anyone who is claustrophobic. The photos of the room are definitely a few years old.

Beautiful old building! We shared the suite with friends and it was very cozy! Perfect for a stay in PEI! Very walkable to waterfront restaurants. Well appointed room with basic necessities.
Highly recommend.

The hotel was located in a very convenient location, walkable, and quiet. The room was comfortable. It was a bit dated but was quite quirky in its own way and cozy.
The carpets in the room could use a much-needed washing/ cleaning though.
