This is not a hotel, more like a bed and breakfast without breakfast.

Hotel was fine, not super fancy or anything.
Staff were nice and helpful.
Some of our keycards stopped working at some point (the digital ones and the physical one) and that was a big minus.

This photo lies. My room did not look like it at all. The bed was good and the room was clean, but the noice from outside was horrible and it was impossible to sleep.
The reception did not look like a reception.

Pleasantly surprised, didn't expect much for what it cost but the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. A fairly sized wet room, and large comfortable bed.

Very bad service, windows broken, rain water coming inside, no hot water, no refrigerator as shown in the pictures, dirty carpet...everything was bad and dirty.

The pictures on the website do not reflect the room you get - our room was on the top floor and was very cramped with low ceilings, the TV was so far from the bed you couldn’t see it properly and there were hardly any sockets in the room which made our overnight stay difficult as we struggled to charge and use our appliances. The bathroom was falsely advertised as being roomy, it was a tiny box room with a toilet that was too high off the floor so your feet didn’t touch the floor when you sat down and the shower had terrible water pressure, it was attached directly into the tap like on a camper van rather than a separate unit, and the wall stand was broken so the shower head kept sliding down to the lowest level, making it impossible to stand up and shower.
The rooms are badly soundproofed, you can hear every single door slamming shut from the hallway, and the radiator was lukewarm despite being on the highest setting. The bed did not have a proper frame, just two mattresses sat on top of each other. Overall the room was not good at all, and the only saving grace was the lovely gentleman who worked on the front desk. He was very helpful and informative, and helped us to check in as the app we are advised to use is dreadful and kept crashing or losing connection so we couldn’t open our door with it and had to rely on a card.
An extra deposit was taken from us that we were not made aware of until a day before the stay, this has not been returned due to issues with checkout.

No towels at arrival. No hot tap water. Disturbung guest until 4am in a hotel with paper thin walls and no staff. I’ve stayed hundreds of hotel nights but this was by far the worst experience.
6.0 / 10.0
Digital check in via the app was easy and quick.
Getting into the room was a bit frustrating but managed to get there in the end.

Very bad....squicky floor with really loud sound and really loud annoying soud from all doors...we could not sleep deep ...no shampo or soup in the bathroom.

Everything was fine, except the cleaning service knocking on my door on Saturday morning, while i was still asleep, to find out if they could start cleaning.... very inconsiderate.

Great place to stay near to the train station

Checking in was a very frustrating experience. Calling the help number was a dead end. When we finally got checked in, the rooms were still being cleaned, sheets on the floor in the hallway etc. Our room had food crumbs on the chair and a very stained grubby carpet, and mysterious brown stains in the bathroom. The fridge was so foul smelling that we couldn’t use it. Mattress was old and saggy. Entire bathroom was covered in water after using the shower. Loud and noisy from hallway and outside. Definitely not a place I would recommend.

Easy check-in, good location and price, nice room and clean room.

Budget hotel, no towels ready in rooms, electricity was not working in room, mold stinking in hallway, bed was updated more than decade ago. Not for handicapped. Warm water from showers though!

Nice hotel in the CC

Too many stairs!!!!!!!noisy streets. Would have been nice if fore warned about stairs at time of booking we were notified of stairs 48 hours prior to arrival and booked 6 months early than date expected. Counted 40 steps up we are both over 60 years of age. No air conditioning hot on the third floor and if windows open—street noise!!!!
Not a nice stay at all.

Room was fine but they put me on the top floor and there are no elevators. I was not given a choice to have a room in a lower level. There was no person to help with check-in despite the assurance that there is coverage from afternoon till late evening.

Doors slam too hard and can wake you up late at night or early in the morning. Be good to have a complimentary bottle of water. No hooks in the bathroom to hang towels.

The hotel was ok, the room was tiny and there were no employees on site, everything was digital. But the location is perfect and you get what you pay for.
My room was located on the top floor adjacent to the stairwell though, and unfortunately it kept me up all night. I could hear every person at the hotel coming and going, it sounded like they were inside my room. And the door to the corridor was banging really loudly every time it closed.

The fridge wasn’t working even there was light in it. We brought some food, which we found out next day wasn’t cooled! We made a complaint to the cleaning staff who couldn’t do anything and by phone to a person who promised to take action. Nothing happened! Then we spoke with the receptionist who told us that it was an all over problem in this hotel which we just have to adjust to!
Our food was spoiled, and I’ve made a complaint by mail to the hotel and asked them for a refund. Even after repeated that I still haven’t heard from them….
It’s unacceptable!!!

Hotel very close to the central station and city center.
Very simple hotel without any services and auto check in via app.
Not so well cleaned with dust under beds and not cleaned walls in bathroom.
5.0 / 10.0
A Hotels City is a 10-minute walk further from the city center, but its condition is much better than hostels in the very center. I had a room with a shared toilet, but the condition of the room and the cleanliness of the shared bathroom was much better! I recommend this budget hotel.
8.0 / 10.0
The pros: this room was very large and spacious, which I didn’t expect from my history of European hotels. The location is good, a short walk to a bus and metro stop. There are plenty of food options within walking distance as well and a 7/11 right next door. The online checkin via the app was new, but I enjoyed it. I don’t think I ever saw a worker while there.
The cons: there was a sewer like smell coming from the bathroom that was a bit unpleasant. Leaving the door closed helps but if you’re going in the bathroom, it’s bad. There was also no mini-fridge which was disappointing. Then the stairwell is a bit uneven. It needs some work done before it falls in.
Overall, for the price and location, it was well worth it. I’d definitely consider booking here again.

The refrigiater was out of order. The flushing of the toilet was not working good. The shower was not working good. The ventilation was no good. The Worst thing was the stairs. Uneven and tiny.

This hotel is only for sleeping, nothing else. There is no lift, so if you have big luggages or you are somewhat disabled this is NOT your choice.
Area is noisy, but it is the way of city centre.
Location perfect.
Would I come again? No.

Great

The hotel is within walking distance of Copenhagen Central Station. The lack of an elevator made moving heavy luggage difficult. The on-line check-in process was rather inconvenient.
8.0 / 10.0
We found very inconvenient that there’s no place for guests to leave their luggage while awaiting for the check in time. We arrived at 9.00am on a rainy day and it was hectic.
The whole bathroom got wet every time we showered as there’s no contention for the water.
There’s no elevator and carrying the suitcases up three floors wasn’t fun.
We loved the rest.

Cheap digital remote hotel with hugh flexibility.
4.0 / 10.0
It was comfortable and airy. No lift so quite an effort getting a heavy suitcase up 4 flights of stairs and then negotiating around Laundry outside rooms in the narrow corridor to get to our door. Bathroom was very small and compact. Very convenient to the train station.
2.0 / 10.0
Good: location, mostly clean, app for key
Not as good: uncomfortable beds, refrigerator/minibar didn’t work, carpet disgusting, very unwelcoming lobby/entre (nothing like the pictures!), tv didn’t work, the receptacles were loose (felt unsafe to put the charger in) and unfriendly staff!

I arrived Thursday the 20th June and had to leave Saturday 22nd. I had to use an App for my registration. The I app provides you with a virtual key. But Friday when I went back to my room around 9pm, my reservation on app has disappeared which mean that the virtual key has disappeared also!! Fortunately reception was stil open. And if I got back after 11pm, I had to to found a new hotel for the night as no information on how to get help after reception is closed!!
The bed was not of average confort neither. The room service lady knocked at the door and handed to me s new towel and s plastic bag for trash. I asked if she wants to the room, she replied I must do it!
3.0 / 10.0
The hotel was ok, but the bathroom was poorly designed. The toilet was facing a wall with only about 15-20 cm apart. The door to the hallway was very difficult to close.
3.0 / 10.0
Moldy smell in the building, great location which was really easy to find, noisy street, friendly staff but didn’t speak English. Clean room, chance to connect your Netflix to the tv was super nice.
No soap to wash your hands in the shared bathroom.
4.0 / 10.0
Completely disappointed with A Hotels City. The images provided of the rooms and bathrooms are completely deceptive. There was no elevator, which is fine, but it was not disclosed until I had to haul a suitcase up five flights of stairs. Front desk was fine, but they don’t show up until 3pm. Ultimately, you get what you pay for here. I thought we were getting a deal, but instead we got hosed.

We were greeted right away once we walked in. Check in is awesome. We got free upgrades. Service staff were polite and informative of local vibes and was able to share their points of views.
