OK hotel. Nothing extra. Good location.

Nice old hotel, updated and well done. Nice dining room for breakfast. Great location for exploring old town Munich and Christmas markets. Nice to have an Eataly across the street.

Perfect location. Clean, comfortable, great breakfast. Location was perfect near Marianplatz.

This property is extremely dated. It does not have AC and was very expensive for what I paid. I felt like I was in a student dorm. The staff are lovely and friendly. Breakfast was included and had a decent variety to choose from. The breakfast staff were very busy and it was hard to get their attention for coffee or cooked breakfast. The location of the hotel is great as it is only about an 8 min walk to Maienplats. Probably would not stay here again though which is a shame as the location is brilliant.

Secure room opened to a welcome gift of a basket of fresh fruit which was much appreciated on our 3 night stay. The morning breakfasts were a delicious adventure. Convenient to the attractions and restaurants too. Just stay here and you won't regret it.

Booked a “suite” which was really not much more than a couch in another room. Plain looking room with blank walls, lousy coffee machine, poor tv choices, and No AC! Would have been okay with windows open, but the area is extremely noisy with traffic, bars, patios, people yelling-even at midnight! No bellman, no ramps for bags, no soda machine, and not worth the price.

Great hotel and very friendly, helpful staff. Safe parking. Easy to walk everywhere. Only downside is no air conditioning but they do have fans.

Great place to stay, typical yet good breakfast. Friendly staff! They accomdated me with a couple of requests, like extra hangers.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was terrific.

Lovely hotel. The front desk staff was very welcoming, breakfast was included and there was a lot of variety and local options. Omelettes made to order were outstanding! The room was a single very smartly decorated with everything you needed. Just be aware in the hot days of summer you only have a fan (no a/c) to cool the room due to the age of the building. All in all it’s a charming hotel and the location is perfect to walk around and explore from.

We loved how conveniently located this hotel was. Also loved staying in the room with a shared bathroom. Also right by the bus. Would return anytime gladly. Breakfast was phenomenal!!

Fabulous location. Staff very friendly
1.5 / 5.0
The location is fantastic, however the listing does not mention several key factors. There is no air-conditioning so we had to keep our windows open all night. In the morning it gets very noisy early (6:30-7am) with delivery trucks, street sweepers and traffic. The bar/restaurant is closed on Monday. And there really is no bar/restaurant at all, it’s just food served outside, but no place to really hang out. Overall the cost of the hotel combined with lack of amenities was disappointing.

The staff was good and accommodating. The room was comfortable but quite small. Breakfasts were good. We were put off by sign which states you’ll be charged an additional 30 euros if you take any food out of restaurant. Location was convenient but one pays for it as hotel was pricey compared to locations away from city center.

Clean cosy room. Small bed and room but had everything you need and bonus points for being in the city centre. It is 10-15 minutes walk from tourist attractions like the city hall with the clock.

It is in a great location, very central, close to many attractions. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was great, the rooms are small but the bed is clean and comfortable.

Breakfast had wonderful selections. Everything we wanted to see or do was nearby. The pillows were just awful. They totally disappeared when you laid your head down. Heated towel rack did not work. They told us maintenance would come by and fix it, but that never happened. Room was so small, that my husband and I had a tough time getting around each other

Very convenient location one block from Viktualienmarkt with their own sleepy little Sebastienplatz featuring a few cafes. Directly across from Eataly and one block from Der Pschorr, also sidewalk pizza cafes and others nearby, so you have a little bit of everything in Old Town Munich. Hotel Blauer Bock breakfast buffet is very nice, and service and friendliness here are excellent. Rooms clean and minimal with a nice old world feel to them, like a comfortable dormitory, which makes sense for a prior monastery. I walked easily from Marienplatz and from Sendlinger Tor Ubahn stops with my luggage. Stayed three nights over two separate weekends. Reasonably quiet.

Well located. Comfortable. Nice breakfasts. Within a walk of most tourist sites. Friendly and helpful staff. Accommodating

This is a wonderful quaint hotel, historic in nature, yet with all the modern amenities you would expect. However, the best thing about Blauer Bock is its convenient location, complete (and excellent!) breakfast, and kind service.
The location is perfect for Muenchner connoisseurs as well as newbies who want to have convenient and quick access to all the beauty the city has to offer. The adjacent Viktualienmarkt offers a variety of excellent casual eating along with other quality restaurants nearby. Marienplatz is about a 5 minute walk from where you see the Rathaus and many other worthy sites. Munich is immensely walkable so that all key attractions are easily reached.
The breakfast buffet is replete with local delicacies. Coffee is generously served by a very friendly and hospitable staff. Yogurt, muesli, eggs, German bread, cold cuts, etc. are plentiful. All in a setting of tablecloths, cloth napkins, and real cutlery (no plastic!).
Lastly, the staff is very helpful and kind with the owner/manager visibly working alongside his co-workers. Whether it is the front desk, restaurant, or room service, they are the best. The property was very clean and well-cared for.
Highly recommend! Ganz herzlichen Dank für die wunderbare Bewirtung und Betreuung!

A 200 year old property in the heart of Marienplatz

The rooms were a little on the smaller side for single bedroom. Other than that, everything else is great about this hotel.

This location was perfect. Great courtyard with fun restaurants. Blocks from everything. Not sure how summer would be with limited AC. Free breakfast a real plus. Internet spotty.

The economy double room was a good budget option, allowing us to be right in the center of town and able to walk all over. I was nervous about the shared bathroom, but it was very clean and only two other women had access to it during our stay (and no other men using the shared men’s room). The bathroom door can be locked when taking a shower and it had good water pressure and temperature. The economy room was pretty warm at night (early June), so we had to open the window, and there is a good bit of street noise, causing us to close the window to be able to sleep. Breakfast buffet was fantastic, lots of food choices from meat slices and cheese, sausages, fresh breads and pastries, yogurts, musli, fresh juices including blood orange juice and more. All the staff were courteous and helpful. We would stay here again.

Great breakfast, staff, and location. It was very clean with all the amenities. Only thing was no a/c so we had to leave our windows open but the street outside was very noisy. Bring earplugs!

Very centrally located hotel. Great room. Relaxed atmosphere and totally outstanding breakfast.
I last stayed here in 1987 and remembered how good it was then - standards today are just as high!

Nice property, good location to Marienplatz, and Viktuallenmatket. Breakfast service was good. Look for pricing fluctuations , I booked when a convention was in town( how would I know) therefore much more than the regular room rate, they had a special 2 for price of 3 nights, I inquired about it and they still didn’t offer it to me.

Great location near Marienplatz and several places to shop or eat. Friendly staff and yummy breakfast in the mornings. Good size room and quiet. Only complaint is the shower sprayed everywhere but on you and tended to get all over the floor. It's like the hose had some weird memory in it. Small thing, though, and would recommend a stay here!

3 night stay for NFL Munich game. Great position in the Old Town, close to Marienplatz U-Bahn station. The hotel has a charming historical feel to it, hotel and rooms are exceptionally clean, breakfast is good with plenty of choice. Christmas markets were setting up, ideal location and environment to celebrate the festive season, I’ll be back!
