Our stay was made better by great helpful staff, as we had to try to return home to Australia due to coronavirus and were having some issues, but the hotel staff were very helpful.

The photograph is delusional. The rooms are very small. Always had a foul smell. It looks like a shady place

The room was a little cramped and noisy at times, but nice and clean. Exceptionally nice and helpful office staff and cleaners, strong wifi signal. Great little restaurant with nice food and service. Good location on the edge of Bukit Bintang.

The room has the essentials. The room was very musty. The sheets and pillows did not smell fresh. There was no hot water during any time that I wanted to shower

Very friendly staff, but the rooms could be better. Overall not a bad hotel and I would recommend it if you want something more budget friendly.

The hotel staff where really nice and attended tonour needs and request immediately. The room we got was spaciius enough although i must say their towels are very old that the white color looks almost grey. They throw pillows smelled that we had to request for the replacement pillows. The hotel is affordable for short stay in malaysia, location is close to major site seeing areas and to the train. They clean the room daily, but somehow there is a distinct smell on the bathroom especially in the morning. Overall. For a short cheap stay in KL, this is not a bad hotel.

I stayed there for 2 nights. Wifi was intermittent. Requested for extra key card because there were two of us staying in the same room but was not given due to insufficient cards?
At night, if you feel lonely, there are workers for hire. Best place to stay in for a lonely night

It was the worst stay of my life. Very dirty hotel and the staff is very rude. They dont clean room by themselves unless you ask them. When you ask them to clean room, they just arrange room and never change beddings. I asked them to clean bathroom, it was just wiped with my shower towel and left for me to use next day. Breakfast is very horrible and you could smell old oil from eggs and pan cakes. Coffee is worse than stale milk. The waiter is in such a hurry to take your plates for washing, you might feel that he wants to take food from your mouth.Towels full of holes and looks like never been washed, at least they could put them in bleach and all stains will be gone. Bathroom sink was also oily and not cleaned.I am attaching pictures so thet you could see the real pictures and avoid beleiving fake reviews.

I arrived late at night and the chap in charge was very pleasant and had me checked in promptly after having to deal with some irate customers. They spoke Indian (whatever dialect) so I had no idea whether it was warranted or not but he handled it well.
The room was very clean and after a hiccup (not cleaning my room whilst I was away shopping) the next day, they picked up their act and every day after it was thoroughly cleaned. Two complementary bottles of water every day was a nice touch in such a humid country.
I walked from my hotel to the Butterfly Park, Bird Park and Aquaria and a lot of malls were nearby for me to shop in.
I dined often in Chinatown but there were numerous other restaurants around for me to vary my diet.
A Monorail and MRT stop were nearby which made traveling around KL a breeze and KL Sentral wasn't too far away making it very easy to get to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
If you're there to get out-and-about it certainly is a well placed hotel but don't think of spending a lot of time in your room watching TV because there are only two English speaking stations (BBC and HBO) worth watching and after an hour of news or a movie, it becomes very repetitive. An International TV package would've been handy for rainy days but on this visit that wasn't to be.
Overall though, a pleasant hotel to stay at.

Highly recommend this hotel. It costs us about 20 USD for 1 night staying at a twin room and I think it's a reasonable price for a 3 star hotel with great location (3 or 4 minutes walking to China Town, nearly 3 km to Petronas Twin Tower). Everything in room is new and at great condition. Staff is helpful but not really friendly like other Malaysians I met. However it's ok, no trouble with them.

I selected Expedia Secret hotel option. I always read previous reviews before booking a hotel. However as this was one of Expedia Secret deal,I did not know which hotel I will be allocated. Potential hotels in the Secret list included Hilton & le Meridien. I chose KL Sentral Station as location as I needed to get to the airport by 06:00 on Sunday 13th November. I trusted Expedia to allocate a hotel near KL Sentral. As I could not read the reviews, I expected Expedia to allocate me a decent hotel. But Expedia allocated me the Sandpiper hotel. I was given a room with no windows. The room was smelling of cigarettes. The bedsheet & quilt cover did not seem to have been washed. The bedsheet had stains. After staying in the room for a couple of hours I was feeling sick so checked out by 17:00. Expedia let me down and I am very disappointed. I booked another room through Airbnb nearby KL Sentral. I wish I had not chosen the Expedia Secret hotel option. I phoned Expedia and was told they cant do anything. This was DEFINITELY MY LAST BOOKING WITH EXPEDIA.

good overall.....but Hotel charged extra money for just 2 hours pre check in which is not good & never faced anywhere this kind of rudness....I must say if you are check in @ 2pm then do check in @ 2 PM other wise they will charge you one full day extra ....so not recommnded for those who are going to check - in before 2 PM.
Breakfast pathetic......

On my 2nd day here, I slipped on the forecourt of the Sandpiper Hotel, after it had rained.
I received a small cut on my elbow. Unfortunately, during the night, the band-aid that I had on it, came off, and the wound reopened, leaving some smears of blood on the sheets.
I informed the receptionist in the morning. He said it wasn’t a problem, and he would get housekeeping to change the linen. When I returned later that evening, the bed hadn’t been changed.
I was then told that the hotels policy was to throw away linen with blood on it, and the linen wouldn’t be changed till I paid for the “damage”.
I have worked at several hotels and at a hospital laundry, and none of them throw away bloodstained linen, (or charge a guest for bleeding on them.) I know that blood on the sheets sounds unpleasant, but it is no different to sweat, urine or vomit etc, all of which ends up on hotel linen, and get washed.
I decided to pay them anyway, as I was staying for another 5 nights, and didn’t want to stay in a bad atmosphere. The house-cleaner told me later, that the hotel does this all the time, and not just with blood, and that they make it unpleasant for people who don’t pay up.
When I checked out, and handed in my key, the manager told me, that I couldn’t leave the hotel, till “security” had checked my room for damage. They sent one guy up to my room, and placed another at the main door, so I couldn’t leave before they had finished checking.

I took my wife and her mother to Kuala Lumpur for a surprise weekend break from Jakarta . I am British but my wife and her mother are Indonesian so we knew there would be no language problems as Indonesian and Malay are virtually identical languages..
I chose this hotel mainly on the location being a few minutes by taxi [taxi less than £3] from the railway station so with the express train from the airport the hotel is less than an hour from the airport.
I knew what to expect from this type of hotel and first impressions were better than expected as was the standard of English at check in, the foyer was clean and friendly with somebody permanently on the door to open it for you.
Whereas that may not be a big thing to some people being welcomed with a smile means a lot to some people.
We had rooms 209 and 210 which was quite adequate for our needs being reasonably equipped with wall mounted flat screen TV, refrigerator, hair dryer and the all important kettle, bottles of water, tea coffee etc, the hotel provides powdered milk but there is a 7/11 next door if you want the real stuff. There was only one cup in our room but we only needed one and I am sure another would have been provided if I asked.
Most importantly the room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable and the vital air conditioning was excellent, we had 2 good nights sleep.
Breakfast was what I expected with the usual array of options my only criticism is that breakfast does not start until 07.00.
