We loved this place in Ollantaytambo. Our items were picked up by the hosts free of charge at the train station and we explored on foot until we arrived at the home later in the day. The home is spacious and well maintained with a large patio and great views of the city. Catta was flexible with our needs and held our bags until we left Ollantaytambo in the late afternoon. I would highly recommend the stay to any group of friends or family visiting!

My stay at The Dona Catta in was very pleasant and I’d highly recommend a stay here. The room and en suite were very comfortable clean and pleasantly decorated and the hotel lounge and kitchen area were also very pleasant spaces to spend time in.The hotel location was very good – it was near enough to Ollantaytambo main square and ruins to be convenient (few mins walk) but not close enough that noise was a problem.I was made to feel at home during my stay with the hotel owner Catta and her family being extremely friendly and helpful in taking care of my needs and also sharing their local knowledge and advising on the local attractions – they were also very pleasant to converse with. Ollantaytambo itself was also a beautiful and peaceful location for a stay being extremely pleasant with a substantial local ruin site next to it and with beautiful views of the Sacred Valley.

The property was conveniently located. Catty and her son were friendly and helpful. I stayed the night before the Peruvian borders were closing and the staff helped me to secure a taxi to the airport last minute. Breakfast consisted of eggs, ham, cheese, bread, jam and butter, fruit, coffee and tea. The room was a little loud and cold; however a space heater was provided and the blankets were sufficiently warm.

Central location. Reception lady advised us of where to go what we could do in our limited time. Very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic

Dona Catta is close to Ollantaytambo historic sites and markets. The property is clean and well maintained; staff is helpful and friendly. Being close to the action, the street noise can be a bit loud at times. Otherwise, it’s convenient and comfortable.

Front receptionist made us pay at checkin and added $5 for using a card, not happy about that. No hot water in sinks. Hot water in showers but lady told us not to take too long in showers.

This place is perfectly suitable for a lay over night in Ollantaytambo. If arriving at night note it is off the main road over the bridge and not well signed. Only working ATM in town is a Global Net, ie: exchange rate nightmare. Clean, friendly, loud in the mornings, basic.

Dona Cotta was an awesome hotel, located right down the street from the square and also a street from the train station, making our trip to Machu Picchu seamless. Renato, was extremely accommodating and gave us great suggestions for things to do during our short stay in Ollantaytambo. The room was clean and well kept during our stay. We'll definitely be staying again!

From the moment I arrived, the staff were so friendly & helpful, I really felt welcomed. The location is great - from the rooftop patio you have a nice view of the ruins. The last time I stayed in Ollantaytambo, I chose a hotel that was a long way from the Plaza and I had to carry my bag over the cobblestones as cars can't make it up the narrow streets. So, I would highly recommend this hotel just for the location alone. The room was warm at night and there was a heavy comforter on the bed that kept me warm during the night.

Very comfortable family style Inn, helpful staffs, the hot shower is excellent!! Room is fair sizes, there is roof top access with some views; location is good, very close to Ollantaytambo ruin and the main plaza is only two blocks away. One big plus is they provide hot boiled water for tea and cold filtered water for drinking, so you don't have to worry to get bottle water for the day trip!

The breakfast we were offered fruits, eggs and bread (there was cheese and ham also). As for customer service, from the moment we arrived the owner was kind and generous, offered us a choice of rooms. The guest services personnel were warm and caring. We did have issues with the wifi, however for a small town I was simply grateful they offered this amenity. We both have Claro data sim cards, with great reception anyways so spotty WiFi signal could have easily been addressed. They had issues with their payment system due to internet issues (who hasn’t had their own intertnet issues?) which is out of their control and I see it as no fault of theirs. To rectify they offered different options of payment, and we ended up paying by US Cash - in hindsight i should have paid via hotels.com in advance instead of paying at the hotel. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Hopefully others see it for its charm and have an enjoyable stay.

We stayed 2 nights at Doña Catta as a way to explore Ollantaytambo before heading on to Machu Picchu, and we had a wonderful stay! Upon arrival we were greeted by Steven, who was very welcoming and helpful by providing details about the towns amenities, transportation, sights, food etc. He even packed us our breakfast to go the following morning since we were heading out early to catch the train to Machu Picchu. The hotel and rooms were simple but clean, safe, modern, and very well-kept, which was all we really needed since werent going to be spending much time in the hotel. There was a pretty good wifi signal, and the breakfast provided by the hotel was satisfying. The location turned out to be ideal too, because it was right in the town center--close to everything--but on a small side street, which made the nights peaceful and quiet. My only (minor) complaint: the mattresses were extra firm, which resulted in a sore back each morning! Some people dont mind firm mattresses but I wasnt used to it. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you plan to spend some time exploring Ollantaytambo and the surrounding areas

We stayed at this hotel the night before our Inka Trail hike. It was great to stay in Ollantaytambo and get an extra 1 1/2 of sleep, plus the town is quite charming. This hotel was a good value and the staff was very friendly and helpful making us a bagged breakfast since we had an early check-out. The hotel is located between the ruins and the square with plenty of options for dinner a few minutes away. The hotel is basic, plenty of hot water and very clean - met our needs.

This little guest house was conveniently located to the train station, the ruins behind the town, and the town itself. The hotel staff were also friendly and they provided helpful
Information about Ollantaytambo and the nearby Machu Picchu. The guest house was very small, quiet, and clean. The private bathroom in the room was small, but it had a toilet and a shower with hot water. The hotel staff provide complimentary breakfast of eggs, fruit, bread, and coffee or juice. The bed wasn't super comfy, but given the price and location to everything, it's a great place if you're looking for something simple.

For the price and for a short stay is good, do not expect nothing expensive, just the minimum,

5 min walk from main square where buses drop you off, shops and restaurants.
3 min walk to catch a tuc tuc to train station or you can walk which would take 10-15 mins.
Clean and all amenities that you need for a night or two. Manager/owner was very friendly and helpful even packing my breakfast for me as i had to leave early the next morning. She even offered to store my backpack for free all day whilst i did Machu Picchu and returned later that evening.
