Overall, the pictures on expedia website and actual room are completely different. The room smell urine everywhere. Dirty and the worse is there are only 1 toilet and 2 shower for avout 15 people. Very very bad.

Worse customer service people who was in front desk at like thugs,when I mentioned room ac not working then he said it was broken couldn’t fix it so no ac then I ask can you provide some pans please then two male receptions was so rude to me it was a burning hot day in Italy I never recommended any one to stay that place specially families with children as they are like not normal people and don’t know how to talk to a customer at all

Just go ahead and find somewhere else to stay. This property is just dirty all around. The bathrooms are gross and outdated. The showers have black mold and dirty towels on the floor that are being used at bath mats. They leave trash in the hallway. The pictures don’t look anything like the rooms. I thought we would have a spacious room and bathroom. Our room barely fit a double bed and we shared one bathroom between 8 rooms downstairs. I wish we booked a hotel room instead. Also checking in, you have to go to another hotel to get your keys but they don’t tell you that beforehand so it is confusing. They also need signs that say when quiet hours are because people were having phone calls in the hallway at 10pm. The only good thing is that it was in a central location and close to the train station.

The house was not what we imagine. The property at the front looks old. The door barely looks like it closes. There are many stairs to go to the main rooms upstairs. We had to share the restroom which we didn’t know was going to happen. One of the restrooms had water in the floor. After all that We had a good stay but it didn’t feel like the house was worth what we paid.

Checking in wasn’t straight forward. We were left standing outside the building while it’s pouring rain outside before we were told our room number and that we can get in. It could’ve been communicated before we get there. Room was ok especially if you need it only for a short stay. Shared bathroom is fine but rules should be enfore better. Bathroom was dirty and there’s clothes hanging from other guests.

The room was not clean at all. Bathroom had black and red molds and smell very bad and kitchen area were also dirty. We really did not want to touch much. Sheets had a hole. It said that there was a kitchen in the room, but the kitchen was not well-equipped and the cooking stove did not work with pans in the room. It was deceiving to say "there was kitchen".

The owner was very kind. He allowed us to check in early. He helped us with our bag to the third floor. There’s no elevator, I cannot do stairs. It was my first issue. The beds were extremely hard they were like laying on the floor. I was unable to get comfortable the entire night it left me in a great deal of pain.

The kids were entertained by the garden but it was scruffy with long grass and weeds and chopped bushes everywhere. Our room had a kitchen and kettle but no cups or forks, spoons?!!!

The advertisement for the hotel was a little misleading. When we arrived there, it appeared to be more of a private hostel instead of a hotel. The bathroom was not connected to the hotel room - rather, they were communal and shared with the whole floor. As for the cleanliness, there was zero cleaning service for the whole 3 nights we stayed there. They didn’t even provide fresh sheets or towels. Overall, it was pretty disappointing but a massive learning curve. We will be more careful when looking for hotels next time.

The property is a stones throw distance from Interlaken West railway station. It has a common kitchen and bathroom/toilet facility for guests. We stayed in one of the basement room adjacent to the kitchen. The room isnt well insulated and one can hear all noises coming from kitchen in the morning. The toilet is located at first floor so you have to go up to use it, but, a washbasin is there in the room itself. The room had a heater that worked well. There is no reception in the property and one has to contact the property manager over the phone beforehand to check-in. Theres some grocery shops and restaurants nearby the property.

First positives: close to interlaken west, train and bus station. Property was cleaner thn expected after reading reviews online. Trampoline in small garden was fun for my son. Kitchen made things easier for us.Negatives: Too noisy for anyone to walk. Stepping stairs will bother. Cooking in kitchen will bother. This property is made to be utilized for maximum guesy rooms, so some rooms are trickily located and can be bothering. Small rooms. Specially the 3 people one we took. I believe ours was best of all, still tiny compared to general sizes. They charged us extra for 6yr old Son, despite the fact we did not take extra beddings, I hated that. Met 1 person only while payment and nothing else, no service beyond that. They did no cleaning. Washrooms were good when we checked in but that was all after that the condition wasnt great. Just a cheap shampoo and hand wash, nothing else was available.

Hi, property is centrally located. High price for a guest house type room. Owners have 2 properties so no one is on the grounds, you have to call them when you arrive. Bring your own shampoo and soap. I was in room 106, had very hard double mattress, and bunk beds. Bunk beds softer. Hotel prices are in this area, so if you dont mind a clean 2-star set up this is fine for a couple days. Very short walk to buses, trains and restaurant.

Good location close to Interlaken West station, shops & restaurants but also quiet. No staff on site so have to phone when you arrive to be let in. Insufficient bathrooms. Kitchen only equipped for Asian cooking, no mugs, bowls, spoons or knives so couldn’t have breakfast cereal / toast or make a sandwich. Beds uncomfortable and sheet wasn’t clean. Curtains thin and too narrow to close fully. People smoking outside so couldn’t have windows open. Only one power socket. Fan or kettle had to sit on floor in front of the door to reach the power socket. No washing machine.

This is really close to Interlaken west train station which provides a great connectivity. The rooms were a little small compared to hotel rooms but cosy and clean. The shared bathroom was also clean. Overall a good experience

Horrible communication, no heat, bed was worse than sleeping on a floor because the springs stuck you and it was hard as a rock. The double bed came with only a blanket for a twin bed for two of us. No curtains so we could not change and the lights at night could not be blocked. The shared bathroom door creaks so loud you knew every time someone when in or out. Besides being close to the west train station, it was a horrible experience and we left to find another place to stay.

I didnt realize we had to pay with cash on arrival. That was a little difficult but maybe I missed that piece of information. The place was pretty nice. WiFi had a weak signal on the third floor but otherwise the stay was very good.

We had to request a cancellation and refund at Interlaken Marco Guest House due to the fact that we were mislead by the hotels.com review rating and the star rating of the hotel. When arriving at the hotel, we felt extremely uncomfortable with the check-in process as we were approached outside by a stranger asking if we were staying there in which he made a call to the land lord. We had to wait 10 minutes for the land lord to return. We paid with cash and did not receive a receipt. Staying there the first night was nightmarish; the sheets appeared to be clean initially but when returning to the room in the later of the evening, there were holes in the sheets and the sheets caused irritation on our skin which leads us to believe that they were not clean. In the midst of the night, we noticed a smell lingering around which can be closely described as vomit. The smell continued to go throughout the morning. We tried to open the windows and increase the ventilation but there was no heating system, temperature control was non-existent.
