Loved the breakfast offered. Good array of choices.

Great value and great location with amazing view. We'd definitely stay again

Our stay in BH for the week was good for the price. We spent most our time out & about. The hotel is basic and a little dated, our room had some updates, like bathroom & the bed was ok. The breakfast had options of grab n go. Staff friendly.

Hotel was a great location for access to Acadia National Park and downtown. Northern Lights were amazing from Sand Beach.

Good for sleeping. Cramped, small but clean.

Poorly maintained, broken tiles in bathroom, room on the small side. Reception excellent as was check in. Also mold in bath room.

The island explorer is across the street! The young lady we checked in with was very helpful with suggestions and answering all our questions. Loved the views. All the rooms face the same way! Nice place

Our room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was pretty standard. You won’t starve but if you’re looking for a good hot breakfast, jump on the bus and go into town. The bus stops right out front. Very convenient.

The staff there was friendly. The room was not good for the price. Mattress was very old and needs replacing, room smelled musty, the heat/ac unit needs updating and it smelled when you turned the heat on.

The staff were so nice and willing to help with our questions. The wonderful lady at the breakfast station was exemplary. She always kept all the items filled. And a free bus with the bus stop right across the street! How much better could it be!

Do not waste your money here, there are plenty of other options. First off, when we tried to open the door, its was dragging so bad my wife couldn’t even get the door open, I had to throw my shoulder into the door to get it open. When I went to the front desk to report the issue, the lady behind the desk acted like I just spit on the floor or something giving me this horrible attitude (like how dare I disturb her). Next when we finally got the door open, the room stank to high heaven, it was super humid in there and smelt horrible. They had a dehumidifier in the room but it wasn’t running so I assume this happens often. When they got it running, it was full of water in less than a day. The parking is ridiculous, it does not support the number of rooms they have, people had to park across the street and cross a very busy street in the dark. I will definitely NOT be going back

We paid for an ocean view but that was very deceiving. There was a huge ferry building in front of us and you could only see a sliver of the ocean to the right. I feel like we should get a discount because we paid more for ocean view and we were on the first floor with barely a view of any ocean.

No hassle’s and and answers promptly thanks

Room was clean and the breakfast was perfect. This is a very old motel that Days Inn bought and is slowly fixing up.

We stayed 3 nights and were pleased overall with the accommodations. The hotel is old, the parking was tight, but the location was great. The staff was friendly and the hotel is very clean. We had all the comforts we needed!

For the room rate they charge its a crime for a old and poorly maintained hotel

Room was clean and modern/up to date! I liked the Keurig in the room. I didnt like the dozens of flies in my room though. I killed them but more kept coming!

Property could be updated. Very nice staff. Bed comfortable. Coffee was just palatable.

For the price it offered little for the “ breakfast” ,the bathroom was full of peeling paint , dripping shower and I had stained sheets !
If the price was lower it wouldn’t have mattered but per night was was way over priced for those rooms !

This place leaves a lot to be desired. Parking is full at 8pm and you have to park in overflow lot across the street, which is dangerous to cross. Room was surface clean but don’t look behind the bed (gross). Room furniture was dirty/scratched. Bathroom tiles falling off walls and dirty grout. The Wi-Fi is terrible. The one good thing I can say is that the front desk staff was nice. Oh and the bed was comfortable.

Nice motel. Clean and comfortable,

If you’re going to Acadia to spend most of your time outdoors and enjoying the natural beauty and just need a place to rest your head at night, this place is more than sufficient. All the hotels are relatively expensive here and this one offers good value. The included free breakfast is pretty basic, but will meet most people’s needs. If you’re looking for a fancy resort experience, this is not your place.

I would never book this again. The rooms are more than just dated, they are dirty and smell of mold and mildew.
Staff were cold and not helpful.

This is one of the best Days Inn locations I’ve ever stayed at. It has a beautiful bayfront setting, offering a clean and quiet environment in a well-maintained facility. The hotel is conveniently close to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. The staff is courteous and helpful, and the amenities are good overall. The only downside is the lack of a microwave in the room, though one is available in the dining area.

The hotel staff was perfect. The rooms were spotless. Shower was amazing with plenty of hot water and lots of pressure

Only spent a few hours to sleep. Traffic in the morning was audible in the room but it was comfortable.

the staff were extremely kind, helpful and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a fair price. Close to town and to hiking. We would love to com back!

Overall not a bad stay. Room was okay but bathroom was subpar. Both toilet and tub were very worn. Not to my standard of clean
1.5
Older motel which has done some upgrades, but still has a ways to go. Parking was tight. Location was fine. Price was cheap for Mount Desert Island, but this is the bare minimum. Wouldn't stay here again

Expensive for a 3 star property. Outdated, no amenities.

Location
3.0
Great location with a decent array of snacks during “breakfast” you can take with you for hikes. The walls/ceilings were paper thin so try to get a 2nd floor or you will be woken frequently by the upstairs guests. Parking was always full at night so staying out late and parking on site is impossible. Housekeeping came twice during our week stay. Cheapest location on Desert Island so I guess you can’t be too picky.

Get location, friendly service, needs updated but didnt bother us because we were outside more than inside. Needs new A/C units.

Odorous, moldy, and absolutely repulsive. Room was supposed to be cleaned on day three and they forgot.
Most overpriced for the level of stay.
Never again

On the trolly line
