Very steep stairs. Landing very dark.

It looked closed with no office. Expedia had to call to find owner to let me in. 3rd rate place everything cheapest quality possible. Ad misrepresents the place and if you complain owner says you can leave if you don’t like it. Worst place I ever stayed

Parking was difficult. There was no parking on premises but had to park elsewhere and move the car by 9.30am

Hostel was close to town and breakfast provided was filling. It's right by a busy road so may not be for light sleepers, but I am usually a light sleeper and I was fine.

Value for money. No frills but great service. Close to town center and castle. Breakfast was minimal but you do get a 24/7 mini kitchen.

Check in was easy, showed to our room and how to work all the doors. Room was comfortable, kitchen was easily accessible. Very noisy location but perfect for going to the ferry.

Check in is easy, beds are very comfortable. Unfortunately it was very noisy due to being on the main road(cars and people walking past). Alma emailed the check in information as we were arriving late. This made check in possible at 1am. We would stay again but bring ear plugs.

My wife stood at the door for 10 minutes waiting for someone to open the door. A man came out but wasnt a member of the hotel personnel. We didnt like the look of the place so decided not to stay.

Great value here. OK, it isn't flash but it was much better than the usual basic hostel. We had our own en suite room with TV, and the continental breakfast was pretty good. Although on a busy road, the traffic died away during the night and we had no trouble sleeping. The kitchen (microwave, kettle and toaster) was basic, but useful. The central location near to downtown, the rail station and also the National Express bus stop was very convenient. WiFi was patchy however. Overall, our 3 night stay was very satisfactory, and we'd readily stay there again.

There was a very strong smell of mould throughout. While it appears clean, I felt sick from being exposed to the mould for just one night.

When checking us in the man was incredible rude - he made us feel like we were somehow inconveniencing him by asking him to check us in (i.e. do his job). The room was dusty and the bedsheets had black mildew and yellow stains on them... Loads of spider webs on the walls and ceilings. The bathroom was nice though. The guy told us breakfast was between 8 and 9, but when we went down at 8.50 everywhere was dark and locked up and there was no one to be seen.Really glad we had only booked this place for one night. Will never be staying here again - not a nice start to our holiday. At least it was close to the ferry port so no need to worry about traffic in the morning.

Cheap and cheerful place to get your head down in Dover. Close to bars and restaurants and easy to get to the ferry port.

This accommodation is advertised as a hostel, so I expected hostel. not hotel, accommodation. However I was pleasantly surprised! I had a small, but clean, comfortable single room, with a modern TV, hairdryer, wifi, and shower room. There was also a desk and chair and small, but adequate storage space. There was even a communal kitchen with hot drinks and biscuits provided.Breakfast was limited by variety, but not quantity, but adequate. The only thing that made me a bit nervous about my stay was the apparent lack of a fire escape. My room was at the top of the building and the winding access staircase appeared to be the only way out. There were signs and notices, but no obvious alternative escape route. £45 is expensive for a hostel stay, but this one was worth it and in a much better state than some hotels I have visited, which cost more money.

We were greeted by the owner told all the local parking places for free, the codes the room. The kitchen area was clean and tidy our room was compact clean and comfy. The continental breakfast served in the cafe downstairs sufficient and served with a smile. All in all a good budget place to stay.

Cold. Smells of damp everywhere, awful decor. Windows do not create a seal therefore the room is noisy and cold.

After taking one look at the location, and after a brief visit inside we decided to forfeit our pre-payment and book into another hotel. The area in which the hostel is situated is awful. There is no parking other than on a street across a busy main road from the building. The area is very run down, with many of the houses appearing no better than ‘squats’ or ‘crack houses’ and there is no way I would have left my car unattended for an hour, let alone overnight, especially packed with luggage for our forthcoming cruise. STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

When we arrived the guy(probably the owner or manager) told us that the family room was not available, so we needed to get 2 rooms and split the family. He said that we have free parking, but the “free parking” was a street near the hostel which didn’t charge until 8:30 in the morning(the guy still lied and said 9:30). And after I did the payment, he didn’t provided me the receipt, and when I asked for the receipt he said “we don’t provide invoices, we are a hostel”. This is very unacceptable but as we were tired we ended up staying there. We needed to wake up very early to get out as we needed to leave before 8:30, which made me and my family very tired the day after. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
