I flew to Rapid City to visit my mom and attend the P!nk concert in Souix Falls. Unfortunately the concert was canceled, so I decided that we still needed an adventure. I was going to book a hotel when I stumbled upon the cabins! I will NEVER regret my decision! I booked for 3 nights and ended up adding an extra one! The staff was incredible, the cabin was clean and so QUIET! I haven't slept that good in years! We played games, talked, and bonded. This was so good for our mom/daughter relationship and helped with healing old wounds. We are now planning more quiet trips like this and less grand noisy ones. Thank you Rockerville for the absolute perfect "staycation" we will be back!

Great place to visit South Dakota and so close to Mount Rushmore. You can check in until 10 pm if needed. Great staff. They offer lights breakfast, and they have a souvenir shop as well. Excellent location. We visited so many places in our trip (including devils tower in wyoming) and happy to return to a cozy cabin, 100% recommend this place.restaurant gaslight crossing the st.

VERY CLEAN ENTIRE PLACE WAS GREAT

Older place but was clean and stay was pleasant. We stayed in the motel room not one of the cabins.

Stayed for one evening so that I could be close to Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park the next morning. Room was clean and comfy; bed was a little firm for my preference but may be perfect for the next guest. Small fridge and microwave made it easy to stay in after a long day on the road. Breakfast was offered the next morning in the lounge which was nice. All interactions with staff were great, everyone was super nice!

Great place to stay. My go to when going to the Blackhills. Older hotel but well maintained.

Very good for the price and for the area

The room was clean and nicely decorated. Our bed was comfortable; the room (tri-plex unit) was snug but enough for what we needed for a couple of nights. The hotel was convenient to many of the things we wanted to see while we were in the area. The breakfast offerings were few... coffee, cereal, 2 fruit choices, & pkgs of oatmeal.

Small room, smelled bad. Staff was great, very friendly and helpful.

We had not realised that there were 2 sites - cabins where you checked in & had breakfast, the other the lodge/motel across a main road. The reception was on an island between 2 carriageways. In order to get breakfast we had to drive from the lodge a distance of 1/4 mile via 2 main roads. What a pain!

It was fine. Clean and comfortable. People were smoking on the porches and at the foot of the steps. The breakfast is lacking any protein. If you are on the second floor you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Owners are great, helpful, personable and funny. Provided extra pillows on request. Room was quaint , kind of small but really, how much room do you need just to sleep? Bed was comfortable and the property is quiet and very beautiful.

Everything works in a studio unit. The road from hotel room to breakfast /reception area is wierd

Great location! Nice, clean room, very comfortable! Staff was very helpful and friendly!

It was not what I expected. By “lodge” I thought it would be more like a building with regular rooms. The room was very small.
I found the people not very friendly.

We needed a central spot while taking in the Black Hills area. The hotel met our expectations. We had a joined room with a shared bath which was very convenient.

Rooms are like small cabins all hooked together. Room I was given was a little tight but very comfortable, I liked it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rockerville Lodge. We ended up staying an additional 2 days. The front desk staff were so welcoming and helpful. Especially Lee, he was very generous with his time helping us map out our day trips to Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, culminating with the light show at Mt. Rushmore. The second day we saw The Badlands. The accommodations were terrific, very clean and a comfortable bed, continental breakfast in the morning to start our day. The Gaslight Saloon across the street was a great place to eat and unwind after a busy day. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to coming back.

Charming Stay at Rockerville lodge and Cabins
Our stay at Rockerville lodge and Cabins near the Badlands was a delightful experience. This vintage motel boasts a great location, making it an excellent base for exploring the Badlands. The free breakfast was a nice perk, and the staff were very accommodating during check-in and check-out.
The location was perfect for visiting the Badlands, and while the room was clean, it did have a slightly dated feel and an older musty smell. However, the shower was fantastic, and the bedding was very comfortable. We stayed on the second floor, which made carrying luggage a bit challenging, but the parking was conveniently close.
Overall, Rockerville Cabins provided a charming and convenient stay. Despite a few minor drawbacks, we would definitely consider staying here again for its excellent location and accommodating staff.

We were visiting Mt Rushmore & Crazy Horse with meals in Rapid City. This was smack in the middle of everything. We stayed in the individual cabins & it was perfect for our family of four. Thank you!!!!

Great place with clean room and comfortable beds. Parking is a bit tight with one space directly outside your door but otherwise great place to stay.

Great place to stay while visiting the Black Hills.

Great location within driving distance of all the main attractions. It is off the beaten path so it is quiet. I would stay here every time and recommend to others.

Liked the kitchen for this studio and everything was quite clean. Beds were too soft for our liking. Close to things we wanted to see. Free Breakfast was back across highway at main building, so we did our own in the kitchenette. Met our budget needs and is good for families.

The front desk was grouchy and not very welcoming. They told us not to call them for anything unless it was an emergency.
Also the breakfast that came “free” was basically toast and it was at a different location from the place we stayed.

Easy in and out

The space was great! Location was great but a little scary getting on/off the highway with the blind hill. Could use some mirrors in the bedrooms only one mirror in the place makes it tough to get 5 people ready for a wedding. Appreciated the grills outside but had to ask for the gas to be filled. Didn’t appreciate the sarcasm from the desk attendant and the fact that he walked into my room at 8:30 am giving a knock with no time to respond and not even an apology asking me how it was going as I stand there in my PJs. Otherwise it was a great place and we would stay again maybe asking for a do not disturb to put on the door.

Was close to everything we wanted to do. Very roomy room. Lots of space

Great for family stay. Rooms a bit small but clean and have all amenities needed.

Don't want to be in the hustle bustle of the tourism but want a great place to set up for a few days, this is the place! All the room and a fully set up kitchen makes it very easy to stay here. Less than 15 minutes to Mt Rushmore or down town Rapid Springs its a great location. Great restaurant across the street too. Cute little sliver of a town. Super management too!
