Unfortunately, at night you can hear people talking, steps, everything. If you are have to wake up early in the morning to go on a tour, you can’t have a good sleep with all the noise coming from the other rooms and from the reception.

Every staff member made sure my girlfriend and I had a great time in cusco. The room was spacious and well equipped. I would return in a hart beat.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel! The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is very accommodating. We had an early checkout and they gave us a breakfast bag to go.

Excellent hotel

The rooms are beautiful, we reserved a standard room for one night, and it was very nice, big and clean, the remaining nights we reserved a superior room, and it was much nicer and bigger room with fridge and a beautiful city view. Juan at the front desk was very friendly and helped us with all our needs during our stay. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Juan was so helpful. From box lunch, to helping us around a transfer and making sure the taxi would get us there. Can’t fault this cute cosy hotel. The rooms are so large and everything catered for.

The rooms were authentic Peruvian. Very clean and very comfortable beds. The hotel is very energy conscious. While you are in the room there is a card slot for your room key. This turns on the power to the room. When you leave and take your take your key it shuts iff all power in your room. Every hotel should have this system. Breakfast was very good and tge hotek staff is very pleasant and helpful. The location is great a 5 minute walk to Plaza de Armas. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great stay. Nice room with heater. Excellent concierge service. Very helpful and informative in helping us get around. Reasonable laundry rates and even packed us a to go breakfast when we had a very early tour. Located on an adorable side street close to amenities but quiet from the hustle and bustle of the square. Hot water was hit and Miss but that has been at all our stays in Peru so I think it’s how it goes. Highly recommend.

Gold Gardens is in a fantastic location, very close to the Plaza de Armas. The entire staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was made to order daily and they asked about our plans each day to make sure we had time to have breakfast and get out the door on our tours. They also recommended excellent restaurants. We really enjoyed staying at Gold Gardens and would definitely return.

Hotel Boutique Gold Garden is in the perfect spot and is close to everything (both the archaeological sites and the town). The staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and they even packed us a breakfast when we had to leave early in the morning for day trips. The only thing that we struggled with at times was that we could hear everything. We were close to the lobby, so we heard everyone checking in. That being said, we would still stay here again but maybe request an upstairs room or one further from the lobby.

The hotel is very nice inside but the location is inconvenient. Taxis can barely stop because it is on a hill. So we had to walk up and down to get transport. The hot water did not work at first and we had to wait until midnight. Otherwise, the tea in the lobby and to go breakfast was perfect

Very steep incline to the hotel. My room was pretty cool.

The room was very nice and staff was wonderful and helpful. We stayed a total of four nights and had breakfast there two mornings and it was excellent with lots of food made to order and lots of fresh fruit. The two mornings we left too early for breakfast they had a bag breakfast ready for us. The TV got Netflix which was a plus. Only issue was getting hot water at times but overall an excellent stay.

Breakfast to go when I had to check out at 4:30am. Hotel is clean, rooms are beautiful. 5-10 min walk to the centre. Very close to all areas.

Gold Garden is a cute boutique hotel in a colonial building. The size of the room and bathroom gives the hotel many advantages. The breakfast was amazing with a variety of options including fresh fruit, juice and coffee. The hospitality was excellent. Juan and Miguel were very friendly and attentive. The disadvantage was the location. If you don’t mind walking up a steep road, you will be fine. That’s Cusco.

What I like is the was very close from where the boat dropped me. Everything was walking distance.

We stayed twice at this hotel, first for a few days before our Inca Trail hike and then after our hike. In our first booking in #17, we were dissatisfied. The unit was large with a sleeping area and a separate living room with couch. Unfortunately, only the sleeping area had a heating unit so once the sun went down, the living area was unusable and had to be closed off. The bathroom in this unit is furthest from the heater and it also gets cold most of the day.
On our return from the Inca Trail, we were checked into #15. This unit was actually smaller with a combined sleeping area and living area. But now the entire thing was heated and fully usable. This definitely was more of what we expected and we would rate this part of the stay Very Good.
For both times, there was a quite good breakfast with an adequate variety of options to choose from. And they offered to make a travel pack if you would miss breakfast due to an early start. On this front, it was all quite satisfying.
It's hard to give an overall rating. It is a budget choice and the second stay was better than expected. But it is a little disconcerting that the quality of stay depended so much on the specific unit we got, especially since both times we booked the same "class" of room. So whether you are happy or not might depend on what specific unit you end up with.

We highly recommend this property. We had a large room with lovely views of the surrounding area. Comfortable bed, hot water, heater, and delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and juice, hot chocolate, yogurt and cereal, eggs with cheese, egg, ham and avocado. Yum! The location is 10 minutes walk to main cathedral/Plaza Armas and San Blas. Wonderful narrow streets with local eateries, massage, views, churches and squares with fountains. So lovely!

Pretty building, in a good location. But security safe was not bolted down, and the receptionist had to let you in and out, which could be a safety issue as well as inconvenient. Could hear people coming and going in building and on street, bring earplugs. Breakfast was good.

The staff was amazing, and so supportive very helpful. I just wish that the room was more warm.

When we stayed there, there were only 3 staffs, Juan, Miguel and houce keeping lady and all of them were very nice and helpful. It was a great and comfortable stay, we extended 4 more days. If you can afford, I recommend bigger room with king size bed because the room has the best views!

Everything was perfect.. I am so glad I found this..Before this, I was staying at another hotel in Cusco at the same nightly rate but found that extremely underwhelming..This is a hidden gem, great views from the room, the staff was very kind and helpful..Miguel went out of his way and helped me book my tours..
Soledad from the breakfast staff was also very warm and friendly..
The WiFi is fast and the breakfast is good..
There is also a mini fridge in the room and 24/7 hot coca and muna tea in the lobby..
The only downside is the walk up the road to the hotel, that can be a little bit of an exercise for a few mins..

Love this hotel for the friendly service, efficent support with trip planning (thank you Dalma)
and close location to many tour hot spots in Cusco while being quiet. The room was spacious and enjoyed tea while sitting at little table in my room and looking over the rooftops of Cusco. Dalma, thank you for being so kind and efficient we really appreciate your organizing skills and excellent customer service.

Nice hotel. Highlight was the excellent breakfast. Loved that they made it to order.Fresh cut micked fruits, egs to order, Bread, fresh juice etc... Best breakfast I have had in the entire trip
Staff were very helpful in organizing Taxis, storing luggage after check out, cleaning the room. They were very responsive to questions
Only thing misleading was after I booked the room, the picture on expedia shows the room spacious with a couch in addition to the bed. We rented 2 rooms and this was not the case in either of the rooms. There was just a bed.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Delightful breakfast in a charming setting. About four blocks off the main Square. It is on a hill, so we walked slowly. Safe neighborhood spacious around very helpful staff.

Staff at the property were very friendly and helpful, the building has a lot of character, and in a good position to the historical centre. The downside is the steep walk back up the hill to reach the hotel, but that’s Cusco!!

Staying at Hotel Gold Garden Boutique was great! The ambiance overall was pleasant and clean. Breakfast was freshly served daily. They are also able to do your laundry if needed for a reasonable price. The hotel is in an uphill area, so that can be a little challenging only because of the altitude for the first day or two. But it really was not so bad hehe. Its location is quiet and conveniently located about a 10min walk from Plaza de Armas. There are also a lot of restaurants and bars that is very close to the hotel as well as a small market infront of it. Additionally, they are able to accommodate you for any travel/ restaurant recommendations and even arrange transportation. We were also picked up very early for our day trips and they make sure to pack you a to-go breakfast which was very thoughtful. Coca tea is always available as well. Our room was clean and had amenities we needed which is more than enough for our trip in Cusco. But the best part would be their friendly and helpful staff. Thank you so much to Juan, Dalma, Miguel & all of the hotel staff. We are so greatful for each and everyone of you. We would be staying at this hotel whenever we go back to Cusco. Muchas Gracias!!

We stayed in 3 different hotels in Cusco and this was the prettiest. The room and bed were large and comfortable, the bed linens were lovely, and the staff was great. We left our bags for 2 days in locked storage even though we were not returning to their hotel (since they were full - we would have!) they packed us breakfast to take on our me train ride to Machu Picchu.

There was no water when we checked in. Owner didn’t tell us. We checked out and stayed somewhere else. I criticize the owner for not being honest.
