It’s my second time staying at this establishment, and I’ve been happy with both experiences. The hosts are friendly and easy to reach. The rooms and beds are as advertised. Bed was comfortable and clean. There are shared bathrooms and kitchen. The guest house is conveniently located in Koreatown and close to the freeway (if you drive; plus you can pay for gated parking for $5/night or street park for free) and close to bus stop. The place is certainly an economical option but I got my money’s worth. I’d recommend if you’re looking for a place that’s affordable and if you’re not high maintenance.

The bathroom window didn’t have a curtain felt really exposed. Too many specific rules. Weird how the host didn’t give us a key to the room instead said lock it we will unlock it when you come back. It was just a weird uncomfortable vibe. We just stayed for a night and barely spent time in the place would not recommend for longer stays. The blanket was also kind of itchy.

I had no issues! The lady who runs it was great and everyone kept to themselves for the most part. There were some hairs on my bed (looked like the lady who runs it, so prob from making the bed), which was yucky but other than that it was very clean and a great experience!

Not bad if there aren’t any options but I would look around before coming back.

Bring cash when checking in!
The hostel was as cozy as one can get from a hostel. The rooms are spacious but can get a bit warm at night if all of the windows aren’t open, a fan is provided in the room. The best part of the hostel is that everything is cleaned every day which was very comforting. The hostel itself is located in a central location so the beach and downtown are both a 15 minute drive away. The owners are also very accommodating, I had to stay an extra day and they managed to find room for me which I really appreciated.

I got a bed here just to sleep in so I was not there during the day. I would leave early as well so this review is only about the night time. The rooms were cozy no ac but I didn’t feel hot or anything. The host greeted me late night and showed me around. There is a kitchen patio and fridge u can use. He offered towels and blankets too. At night it’s pretty quiet u can hear the cars passing since the house is on a Main Street but that’s about all u hear at night. It’s ok for a hostel I didn’t have any issues during my stay there

It’s not a hotel it’s a house we’re they make u share room with 4 people, no tv, no WiFi, no privacy. The owner of property cursed me out in his native Korean language then he asked me to leave without refund.
I will not recommend any one this house. All good reviews are fake I saw owner son and daughters writing fake reviews on google

The host was so nice, perhaps the nicest host I’ve ever met in the Hotels.com. He made every effort to provide a comfortable environment. The location was so great that it was so easy for me to go to the major sites in LA.

My stay was cancelled unitlaterally by this venue without adequate notice. I was traveling all day. They claimed to have an issue with my credit card (used everyday during this trip) and sent an email to expedia - with whom I did not book. They didin’t bother to contact me directly in spite of having both email and cell phone. After I showed up, they told me that they tried to contact me, then sent me the emails informing me that they had cancelled my reservation. People should know that this is a private residence set up as a boarding facility, and was not especially clean or accommodating, although they did allow me to utilize their WiFi in order to assist my finding another booking on no notice. Cost me over 3 times this booking to find a room that night.

It was more like a backpackers in than a hotel. A big, hot, room with lots of twin beds. Traffic noise and in a questionable area.
We were supposed to get "traditional English breakfast", but no breakfast is served on weekends. No offering was made at all.
The hosts spoke little English. Had to leave our shoes outside, which was also unusual.

The owners are really nice and the girls I was roomed with were very nice and clean. It’s so fun getting to know people from all around the world! I would definitely stay here again, great way to save money and meet new people. My stuff wasn’t touched and the room was spacious enough for all of us. Glad I found this place!

This is a charming little residential building staffed by a friendly and very amenable family. It's well kept, tidy, and very friendly all around. I stayed an unusually long time, 11 days, while most I saw were only in for 1-3 days on average. I'd say for the short term and long term both, it's excellent. They're always sure to offer help when you need it as well.

First time at a hostal, the other visitors seemed very content.
The common living area is not much of a common area, very small and no real common room. Has laundry and kitchen. Gated parking. Clean facility.

I find it hard to class this place as a hostel as it is more like a family home turned into a hostel with beds in every room including the living room. There's no lockers for your stuff, no communal place to relax, the kitchen is small and there are only 2 bathrooms for upwards of 20 people. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated although the beds were too soft for my liking. The organisation was chaotic with a bed mix up where a new guest was given a bed belonging to another girl. Maybe I feel a little jaded about this place as the lovely girl that was in my room was replaced by a woman who would not even say hello to me, would eat horrible smelling food in the room, would make comments under her breath about me, unplugged my charger and on the last night was taking personal pictures of herself while I was in the next bed.Its a strange place on the one hand I felt safe as it had a family feel but on the other hand I didn't know if I could trust any of the family.
