Absolutely horrendous. Was more like what I imagine a half way house is than a nice place to stay. It was noisy, smelt and the cleanliness was less than desirable. Also looked like there were wee stains on the walls. Would not return.

This was a very cheap hotel, so I supposed i should not complain too much.
The man at reception was polite and helpful.
The room itself was OK - clean with bed, TV, wardrobe.
But the shared bathroom was not up to scratch. I don't know how often it was cleaned, but clearly not often. And there was a huge gap between the shower tray and floor.
Also there was a huge amount of noise from people running up and down stairs in the small hours of the morning.
But as I say, it was cheap so I suppose it was value for money.

We stayed here after attending a concert at villa park. The host was welcoming even though we checked in very late. The room was basic but comfy beds. There was quite alot of noise from other guests but overall you get what you pay for.

Filthy room, receptionist refused a refund because he said we used the bed but we were only there for 5 minutes and had to leave because it was disgusting! Wouldn’t wish for my worst enemy to stay there!

I wish i could attach the video, there was urine all over the toilet seat, the walls were falling apart, as well as the celling, very thin walls, awfully creaky floor boards, heard people running up and stairs which were very creaky too, heard whistling and people talking at 11:30pm and door couldn’t be locked from inside which i didn’t like. Couldn’t watch tv as there was only 1 socket, the other end of the room, Wouldn’t recommend

The hotel was good in general but the room had a mould and was smelling.

This is far to even be called as a hotel. It’s more like a Shared house wih lots of people.
This place is also an emergency accomidation for homeless. The area around the “hotel” is also not a nice place to be. You would never want to come to the place like that with the kids. Most of the furniture is broken or faulty in some kind of way. And we got to see 3 of the rooms at this place because of the many issues to even have room with a toilet. The mattresses are old and you can feel the metal springs stubbing your back!

Do not stay at here faulty towers shocking.
Mould in room on walls dirty towels all over the floor in bathroom.
Definitely not worth the cost should be £15-£20 a night at the most

Very basic accommodation, the mattress was more than a bit lumpy and clearly needed replacing and by replacing I meen burnt. I had to fix the window blind as 3 of the vertical blinds were missing on arrival, fortunately I found the missing blind blades in a draw in the bedside cabinet and refitted them.
The covering plate for the ceiling pendant light either hadn't been fastened up properly and was now resting on top of the light fitting or had never been screwed up in the first place.
There were small communal kitchens on each floor that had seen better days, bit untidy but you can't blame the hotel for guesses leaving a mess it was mid afternoon when I checked in and the cleaners were there every morning.
Bathrooms were functional, reasonably clean but again had seen much better days. Missing or damaged fittings, mirrors etc...
Over all I'd have to say the hotel is very basic, a bit run-down even though it looks like it had been repainted recently to a standard that I'd compare to student accommodation and from the piles of building materials sat in the carpark some work had been done at some point.
All said and done it was cheap and somewhere to sleep.

I was really disappointed about the cleanliness of the place, there was dust everywhere including in the bedroom that has a drafty window and the state of the ground floor bathroom was really bad with water not draining properly when I showered. The kitchen needs attention! The whole place needs a proper refurbishment or else just close the place up!

When we booked in the staff was lovely helped us carry the bags up stairs. The room was small but perfect for the two off us.
Unfortunately the bed was like sleeping on a log and was very uncomfortable. Not many pillows abd ended up with back pain when we woke up. The bathroom lights was not working and they used light that was motion sensor and half way through shower it would go pitch black.
There was mold in the showers and they looked like they had not been cleaned in weeks.

The place is absolutely disgusting, very dirty especially their showers. Had to use a whole bottle of bleach before can use the shower. It smells mouldy. Bedding had stain, not clean. Would suggest to bring in your own towels as theirs are off white and hard. The host is lovely however. Very cheap looking place doesn’t reflect the name “lodge”

The member of staff who I checked in with was very friendly and explained everything that I needed to know about the property, how to check in and where the facilities were to use. The room was a decent size with a tv and the room itself was reasonably clean. There was some cobwebs on the celling and the place could do with some a fresh coat of paint, however it didn’t bother me.

We booked a quadruple, en suite family room.
The exterior of the building was unkempt with old cars and building materials at the front. The no frills room was very poor quality, the blinds were broken so we had no privacy and daylight pouring in at the crack of dawn.
The en suite- which was a partition within the room smelled damp, the sink leaked and the shower leaked so much that it poured under the partition and into the main room soaking our belongings. The shower head was held up by a plastic bag and if someone flushed the toilet whilst you were in there they got scaled- not the best thing for my 8 year old daughter to experience.
We couldn’t wait to leave. I think this ‘hotel’ is unsuitable for families, it is more like a half way house for dossers and the homeless.
