This is a great mountain getaway. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that this was going to be a special experience.
First and foremost, the location was idyllic. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet conveniently close to local attractions, the cabin provided the perfect balance of tranquility and accessibility. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, you are immediately immersed in the beauty of nature.
The property itself is great. Impeccably maintained and tastefully decorated, every detail has been carefully thought out to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From the cozy living spaces to the well-equipped kitchen, you’ll feel right at home from the start.
One of the highlights of the stay is the outdoor amenities. Whether lounging in the hot tub, grilling on the comfortable and accommodating porch, or enjoying the fire pit, there is no shortage of ways to relax and unwind. It is evident that the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into creating a space where guests could truly escape and rejuvenate.
In addition to the physical aspects of the rental, the customer service was exceptional. From the initial booking process to departure, the property management team was attentive, responsive, and accommodating. Any questions or concerns were addressed promptly, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free.
Overall, this cabin and the customer service exceeded my expectations in every way.

The cabin was cozy and clean. The jacuzzi was more fun than I was expecting and they have very movie under the sun. A good value.

My family loved the cozy cabin. Had everything we needed for our stay. Perfect location, close to all the places we wanted to see and do. Would definitely stay again!
4.6
Loved our stay! Place was great, thought it was a bit higher in the mountains and hard to get a hold of management but overall we had a great time!
4.6
Really nice cabin, well equipped and the property owner is very responsive. I would stay again 😊
4.6
The cabin was even nicer than in the pictures. It had all of the amenities we needed and we really appreciated the gas stove! 25 mins to ski resort.
4.6
We had a lovely stay at this cabin. It was just what we needed for our family to rest after skiing. The hot tub after a long day was a very nice perk, especially for our son. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful time staying in Dunmore for a weekend in Snowshoe. The check in process was very easy, the house was very clean and even looked nicer than the photos, and the host was responsive when we had questions come up. We would definitely come back to enjoy another weekend at this property!
4.6
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It’s well-maintained. It’s close to the entrance of Snowshoe Mountain. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Wifi worked great, fireplace and hot tub are nice touches.
4.6
This cabin was everything my family needed for a wonderful long weekend. The cabin was clean and in a great location to enjoy the many amenities near by. I would recommend this cabin if you and your family want to enjoy a weekend bear snowshoe!
4.6
Definitely would recommend a stay here! Cabin was very clean and had everything needed to have a comfortable weekend stay! Hot tub is a great plus as well! Will plan on staying here again when planning a stay in the area.

Very nice, comfortable and clean. Great location and scenery.
4.6
Clean & comfortable cabin in a rural setting. Firepit & hot tub were nice. We enjoyed our stay!
4.6
Had a great relaxing time. About in the middle of sights that we wanted to see. Cabin had everything that we needed.
4.6
Had a great time at the cabin. Owner was very communicative regarding hot tub maintenance that occurred during our stay. Wish there wasn't a street light at the end of the driveway so we could have seen the stars better at night. Overall, we enjoyed our time and had a relaxing stay.
4.6
This was a get together for 3 60+ ladies. The home was clean and nicely decorated and everything in working order. Any issues are addressed immediately with the owner. The hot tub was great. It was a great location for visiting Green Bank, Cass etc. It is well equipped with everything you’d need for preparing meals. For those reasons I gave it 5 stars. However, there are a couple things people may want to know in advance and that is the hot tub is on the ground floor. You have to walk outside and down the steps and around under the deck for the hot tub. Not an issue unless you have mobility issues. Also the only bath is on main floor. Also, the only oven is a toaster oven so you can’t bake a turkey ;)
I would definitely recommend the Bears Den

Had a wonderful time! Perfect location for surrounding area activities. The cabin being "pet friendly" is awesome!
4.6
AJ was extremely responsive and easy to work with. The cabin itself was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. It is NOT air-conditioned, but it was kept quite cool by the 5 or so fans because it’s a wooded lot. We had a great stay and will recommend the cabin to our friends who ride the Cass yearly!

Nice summer get away
Had a very nice stay. Mostly private and quiet. Summer rain interfered with off cabin site activities. The cabin provided movies, corn hole, board games etc., along with hot tub. Met my expectations.

The Perfect Summer Escape
The cabin is beautifully appointed and outfitted with everything required for an extended stay. It also serves as a perfect launching point for many daily adventures. Within a short driving distance we visited Buffalo Lake to trout fish, the Cass Scenic Railway, Green Bank Observatory, the Greenbrier River and Trail, Droop Mountain Battlefield, Cranberry Glades, Beartown Rocks, Snowshoe Mountain and Gaudineer Scenic Area in the Monongahela Forest.
If you are wanting to truly get away from it all and immerse yourself in the beauty of West Virginia, The Bears Den retreat is the perfect place for you. We will definitely be returning.

The Perfect Little Get Away
If you are looking for a place to unplug and unwind this is the place to be! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The cabin was relaxing and enjoyable. It was extremely kid-friendly but also enjoyable to the grownups too. We would definitely stay here again and again and again!

Vacation
The cabin is absolute beautiful. But it is right off the main road you hear traffic all night. The property is not on 5 acres it sits on a wooded lot. All in all it was nice seen a few baby deer an a momma deer. We enjoyed the sounds of wild life
4.6
The cabin is located in one of the most beautiful part of our country. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. The hottub and fire pit were also enjoyable. We also enjoyed Green Bank Observatory -but the Cass railroad 4 hour train ride is truly a memorable experience!!

It’s quiet and peaceful to say the least. Absolutely enjoyed my stay, getting away from technology just feels great! Comfortable setting and atmosphere love it

The good: cleanliness of cabin, comfortable bed, quiet atmosphere, clean hot tub, adequately equipped kitchen... Overall, a very relaxing and comfortable weekend getaway.
The bad: the cabin is not as secluded as the pictures indicate (houses across the highway within clear view of the cabin), multiple light bulbs burnt out or missing, lawn was mowed but clumps of shavings all over the place, no paper towels, outdoor trash bin was overflowing, misleading about fire wood for the fire pit (had to pay for the wood). Overall, it was a pleasurable stay, just expected more attention to detail.

Family Get Away
We loved our stay at the Bear’s Den Cabin!! The information, driving directions and introduction to the cabin were very helpful and the hot tub made the experience even better. The area is lovely! We will be coming back and have already told everyone about it. Thanks for having us!

Our weekend getaway
The cabin was very cozy & clean. We enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for letting us stay.

We had an amazing long weekend away at this cabin. The wifi was in and out but we didn't mind as the idea was to get away. The mattress was so comfortable and everything was clean. The hottub was definitely the best part. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Wonderful for unplugging!!
We absolutely needed an unplugged weekend to decompress from life, and this cabin absolutely did the trick! We enjoyed the peace & quiet while just existing versus our daily responsibilities nagging at us! Definitely recommend staying here!
4.6
What a great get away spot! We enjoyed the beautiful wooded property from the hot tub and spent plenty of time by the cozy fireplace. The picnic table by the fire pit looked lovely as well but the weather was not nice enough for a fire. The location was perfect for our visit to the Green Bank observatory. We will definitely be back!
