Cute historical home in quiet neighborhood close to Shasta activities. Host was very responsive. Home had all we needed for our stay. Would stay again.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Spacious, quiet, well located; this house has everything you’d need for a McCloud getaway. Well appointed kitchen, great bathroom, comfortable spots all throughout the house to tuck yourself away and fixate on the great forest views. I loved the big porch in the front with its comfortable outdoor furniture. Also, right in the front, if you stand in the no traffic road, there’s Mt Shasta grinning down at you. A magical place to stay.

Our family came to McCloud for a ski weekend at Mt Shasta. This home was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and rest between runs. Perfect for two families with teenagers. We will return!

Casey and Danielle are some of the best and most accommodating hosts I have ever rented from. As hosts, they were thoughtful and proactive in anticipating our needs and were very available for assistance and questions. The cabin itself is delightful and cozy, well-furnished and the beds are extremely comfortable! As well, the water is some of the purest and most delicious you will ever drink straight from the tap. The welcome book has detailed info of restaurant recommendations, hiking and even fascinating local history. The town itself was like a quaint winter wonderland during our stay and is only minutes from Mt. Shasta Ski Park and beautiful waterfalls. Highly recommend this cozy cottage for your mountain getaway adventure.

Excellent choice for a 3 day getaway. Skillfully and comfortably furnished to reflect the character of the Shasta lifestyle —- very cosy, well supplied with necessities, immaculate, and cheerful. Very quiet neighborhood which suited our getaway needs perfectly. Was a relaxing short walk to town where we enjoyed dinner at the Axe and Roses Restaurant whose food and service was exceptional. And then breakfast at the local White Mountain Cafe, also exceptional. This town is so friendly you feel you’ve gone back in time. We will be renting here often.

The house has been completely refurbished but still retains its mill worker house charm. Surprisingly large!

This is our favorite place to stay when we go to McCloud! A few reasons why..
Location is absolutely perfect! A short enough distance from town you can walk, but still far enough away where you feel secluded. It's centrally located to about everything you want to do in the area.
Also because of the location, it's so peaceful and quiet that you can really enjoy being out on the front porch. Whether we were enjoying our coffee in the mornings or were eating dinner, it was always relaxing.
The cabin was very clean and cozy. We had everything that we needed while we stayed here. I believe the beds either make it or break it - and here, they were amazing! They were very comfortable, and we always woke up refreshed!
My husband and I are very big outdoorsy people, and what we really appreciated was how Danielle and Casey created their own book of everything to do in and around McCloud. Very well organized based even on what time of the year you visit! They even included a little history of the cabin and the town, which I enjoyed learning about.
Danielle and Casey are exceptional hosts! You can tell in all the little details that they put into this home that they really care and want to make your stay as best as it can be.
When we stayed here, we felt at home. We're already planning our next trip to the cabin!

There’s only two words to describe my visit to McCloud… “Simply Amazing”.
Danielle and Casey were so friendly and went out of their way to give me some great recommendations on restaurants and places to explore while we were there.
I booked the weekend for my son and I to check out all the waterfalls and hiking trails in the area. The cabin was only 2 min from downtown McCloud and only 5 miles from one of the coolest places in California, Middle Falls.
The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend. The kitchen was clean and had all the essentials. We sat on the front porch and had breakfast and coffee each morning and just blissed out listening to the birds. We live in the city so this was a nice retreat to just unplug for a few days.
The beds were soft and cozy and there were even some board games and puzzles for us to play at night.
At the end of the weekend my son (who spends too much time on his iPad) said “This was good, we should do this again next summer”.
We will definitely be booking again.
