The staff were good but not expecting us. We booked last minute and had to pass us off to a friend's business up the road. It was just as good and there was no difference in charges. The breakfast was good and they helped us with a organising a jeep safari of the Bardiya National Park

I travelled with my girlfriend at this property .I was picked from the closed bus station . We were welcome with small handmade flower bouquet. Owner was also very sweet and kindhearted . We were offered aome snacks and had some rest. Very next day we planned to do some activity so we went for jeep safari with a well trained guide from the resort .we were staying at! Yummy organic food with fabulous service from staff which really deserves 10 out of 10 .All over , we loved every single thing from our stay at bardia wildlife resort "paradise" . Highly recommend!
Weather was too hot .

The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. This place is the most affordable in the area with rooms with air conditioning, hot water and mosquito nest, which we loved. The restaurant menu was cheap too compared with other places we had stayed in the area. The staff is very friendly and goes beyond to help you (bought and took us to the bus station when we left).
They could have more vegetarian options on the restaurant menu. We stayed a week and almost ate the same things.

The place has a beautiful and peaceful ambience. Lush garden with both outdoor and indoor dining areas. We have travel facilities from and to the resort. Campfire option is there. The owners and staff were really hospitable.. The possibility of seeing rhinos and tigers and elephants is 95%. Very clean and spacious rooms.

Every so often you stay somewhere you will always remember - Bardiya Wildlife Resort is such a place. Sankar, Hira and staff looked after me in every way possible, with delicious home-cooked food and a comfortable place to sleep. Sankar also organised different activities for me, including jungle walks and a jeep trip, plus an overnight stay in a treehouse in the community forest. Special thanks to Rissi the guide, for teaching me so much about animals and birds in the jungle. I thoroughly recommend spending at least a week here here so that you can get a real feel for daily life in Bardia.

Very friendly family-run property with beautiful garden. Excellent food was available all time, staff and owners are attentive and try to fulfil every wish. Special thanks to the owner for taking good care of us while having problems entering India. He was ready to take us for a five hours drive to the next border without any discussion. What a service! Great thanks, we will not forget.
Safari prices are higher than expected. But it seems to be everywhere the same

I booked this property for just a day. But this property garden forced me to saty longer in this property. There garden is so relaxing and peace with small pond in centre of hotel. Early in the morning I could see fish juming on side of me with my breakfast. Birds waiting you to wake up in the morning. Hotel is full of greenery. This hotel is located at the heart of Bardia National park. Just front of this hotel you can see Karnali river flowing and back of hotel there is canel flowing. From this property in 700m distance you can reach National park entrance and in next 700m other direction you can visit elephant breeding centre and enjoy beautiful sunset.
Staffs are very friendly and always ready to help you. Owner Hira and Shankar are very kind to there guest and staffs as well. More importantly I came to know that Hira is first female guide of Bardia National park.
Food they serve to guest are all organice from there garden. I could see make fruits tree like mango, litchi, Banana, Papaya etc.
I didn't have more days to enjoy here.

The resort has a very nice environment and all rooms have independent entrance with or without A/C and all surrounded by trees and plants .
The food was local, fresh and very good. They have also fruits and vegetables grown in their garden .
The included breakfast was different every day simple but complete . The owners are very kindly and helpful! They have experience with jungle tours and also with hospitality, they can host a good number of people.
i felt a bit rude some of the staff , but luckily mostly is very welcoming .

We stayed for 5 days in this beautiful botanical retreat, where we were welcomed by the loving family Bhattarai. From the first moment we were invited to sit and eat together with the family around the fire. Even though there was the option of a large dining hall, we were given the chance to dive into their culture. We were amazed by the love they put into every detail of their resort, from the beautiful garden to the delicious food and the diverse activities we could choose from. This was topped by the longed-for encounter with a tiger and a leopard during our jungle safari.
We want to thank the whole family for the unique experience they provided us with and look forward to meet them again.
Only negative was the bad luck in weather the first day and a loud wedding in the neighbouring resort. None of these are in control of the owners.

10/10...This is quite simply the best place to stay in Bardia - great value, nice clean rooms and amazing food. The staff are fantastic and the owners, Shankar and Hira, are not only around and happy to help in any situation, but also at the forefront of nature conservation, pushing tourism in the right directions and helping the local community by doing thing like employing under-privielidged locals. Shankar is well-connected with many years experience as a jungle tour guide and now Hira (one of the first women jungle tour guides in Nepal) is training up the next generation for a brighter future. It may sound cheesy but this place really is a beautiful 'Paradise', for both mother nature and human nature.

Loved the atmosphere and vibe of this resort. Such a cozy stay with fantastic people, and food. Really world class place to stop thru and experience life in Nepal. The safari was a great way to explore the wilderness and have a wonderful walk thru the nepalese jungle. All staff welcomed us like family and we are grateful for each moment in Bardia wildlife resort. Thanks for everything.

What a special place this is! Spacious, clean room with comfortable bed. Private garden porch which provides views of the beautiful gardens. Lots of hammocks and benches to relax, read a book or simply just listen to the bird songs. Great wash area to wash & hang clothes if you are a backpacking traveller like me. Great food - they grow many of the veggies in their gardens.
What truly makes this place special is the staff. Sincere, knowledgeable & personable people. It was a gift getting to spend time with them. They were attentive but also great at letting you enjoy your quiet time.
Highly recommend the guided day hike into Bardia National Park. The guide was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. This place, both the Bardia Resort & Bardia National Park, are truly something special. It is somewhere I will be coming back to again & again.
