Viaje sola y no me sentía cómoda con que esté en un callejón tan oscuro, fuera de eso todo ok

Excellent breakfast, great and helpful staff, comfy beds and location is spot on. This is an excellent choice when visiting Santo Domingo. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Location and beautiful building. Large rooms
Very dark rooms. Bathroom linen could be cleaner

The charming old world ambience in a Colonial era building. The staff was helpful & informative and the breakfast offerings were ideal.
Everything was great

This was the second time we stayed here...at the end of our trip. Everything was great!

Architectural charm of the building. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the young man who helped us check in and out. Location was perfect in the colonial zone. Rooms were clean and AC worked. Breakfast was simple, but very good. Appreciated them making eggs to order. Nice courtyard!
The main reception area was hot, but it was summer (early July) and it is a large room, so I don't think AC would work well in this room. Maybe more fans on hot days? The rooms were nice and cool. Classical music in the reception area. Would have preferred Dominican Republic music, but I guess it went with the theme of the old colonial architecture? One receptionist could have been a bit more helpful when we asked for a taxi to make a dinner reservation our first night. We assumed the taxi had been called, but perhaps it just didn't show up. We learned on our own that Uber is best and got to dinner on time. They were able to book us a taxi to take us to our rental car and to the airport. Overall, it was a great stay! We stayed again at the end of our trip and would do so again.

Security to come and go, and the location within blocks to go eat or walk around at many different types of shopping.

The ambience and architecture.
Breakfast was very limited and the service was VERY bad. Their choices for breakfast were the same every day and as a vegan i could not eat most of the stuff. The service during breakfast was horrible. You'd see used dishes on tables and one time i had to clean the table where i wanted to sit. I also had to ask the front desk to clean the room one time. Housekeeping had just made the bed but left the trash and did not tidy-up. I say tidy-up because housekeeping would not clean the shower, toilet or sink. I saw MOLD in the shower.

The hotel is idyllic and very comfortable. The staff was amazing and extremely attentive.
Some of the other guests were a bit noisy late at night.

It's a museum in the centre. Having breakfast in the small garden is really cool.

Beautifully restored old Convent in the Zona Colonial. Rooms are quiet and comfortable the inner courtyard is a great breakfast spot and the rooftop terrace lets you take in the surroundings. I only wish we stayed longer!

The location was perfect and the building was very beautiful and full of history. The breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit, awesome coffee and eggs made to order. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating.
We loved everything! The room was slightly musty smelling but of course it is very old so understandable!

Excellent location right across the street from a very lively plaza (an open air area full of people hanging out and talking....when we arrived on a Saturday night).
Breakfast options were very limited and should be refilled more often. We arrived early for breakfast but almost all the platters (ie. fresh fruit and cake for example) were almost empty. We could see that the 2 ladies working there in the kitchen were working as fast as they could, managing to provide service with smiles on their faces, but they clearly need additional staff for the breakfast rush.

It was beautiful, looked just like the pictures, but so much better in person! Breakfast was wonderful! Cooked savory plantains, eggs, whole wheat bread were all extras as well as the usual fruits, cereals, cheese, etc.
Nothing!

The breakfast was decent. The location was fantastic! The room was spacious.
Space for working with computer. There were very few electricity connections in the public areas.

it is a beautiful, well decorated hotel in a historic building. all the staff was very helpful and special notation we would like to make for Bianca because she was extremely helpful and nice to talk to.
the WiFi did not completely reach the room number 4 but was good in all the shared places.

LOVED the history of the place. It’s amazing how nice it is and updated for a building so old. Your rooms walk out to a beautiful courtyard. The breakfast was buffet style as well as
Cook to order which was a bonus!
Parking. It comes with the territory of the location but it’s good to know that parking is not always easily available.

beautiful historical building, well explained with museum-like interpretation. felt a bit more special than just staying in an Airbnb in the Zona Colonial. breakfast included made it good value. staff helpful Eg in liaising with a car rental company on the delivery of the car. roof terrace a nice place to go in the evening after a day exploring. Great overall location for exploring the Zona Colonial for a couple of days.
we were upstairs (rooms 6-10 are upstairs) but downstairs rooms (1-5) might be a little noisy in the morning if you wanted a lie-in because guests having breakfast are in the patio immediately outside. it would have been useful to have a fridge in the room and an explanation that you needed a key for the safe deposit box (they had keypads too so I assumed they were just old and broken).

Amazing historical building - wonderful location.
