4.0
Good position, clean and tea maker in room
Nothing

It wasn’t particularly clean. The internet shows it as a hotel whereas it is just a scruffy pub. The room was appalling, up several flights of unsafe looking stairs. I did not stay and had to find alternative accommodation. I got no refund as the hotel said my room was non refundable. This venue should not be on the Booking.com website. It’s a dump.

Location was good
Expensive. No lifts so Luggage should be carried by stairs
4.0
perfect location, just a short walk to center of Oxford. Free though limited parking behind the hotel. Alternatively there is a public parking just across the street.
the lobby is very kitsh with a life-size werewolf statue in the front window (why???). Should instead focus on highlighting the beautiful features of this very old charming building.
3.5
The location was great! The room was spacious enough for 3 people.
The hot water pressure was very low, and the room could have been a little cleaner. The rooms could also be updated a bit as well.
4.0
comfortable bed/hot shower
some road noise early morning.

very central, cozy clean rooms, friendly staff, downstairs pub and free parking
nothing.. all
was great

Really nice staf. Clean and big room
The room was quite dark, but the biggest issue is that the windows are not well isolated, so you hear everything happening in the street, and also the temperature is a bit cold.
2.5
Good location. Just outside the city and good secure parking.
Room was not clean. Hair in bath and an unclean toilet.
Struggled to get wet in the shower.

Very friendly staff.
1.5
Car parking
lack of any food - not made clear when booking
poor room preparation and safety issues - faulty bathroom basin light stuck up with masking tape! Repair not addressed when raised with staff, no basin plug, one provided did not fit!bedside reading lights not working, towels with holes, bedding looked like it came from the next door halls of residence, all unacceptable when you are asking £150 a night for a room with no breakfast.

It was quite close to the centre of Oxford. The facilities were clean.
The shower was a bit small and the water pressure wasn't very fast. Also I had a dripping tap.

Location was great for access to central Oxford, in a historic building. Downside of location and historic single glazed windows is night noize (if you want quiet, stay in rural Oxfordshire or somewhere soulless with triple glazing).
The surfaces are uneven, but the person who booked us in was excellent at pointing out steps (I have sight loss).
There was a mini fridge in the room which has a glass door and a light that did not go off. Ended up putting my coat over it so I could go to sleep.
I was a bit miffed that we'd been told that there was breakfast that could be gluten free, and then there was no breakfast ... But due to the Royal funeral, I expect. Given there was a mini fridge, why not put brekkie in there?
As things turned out this was great as instead we had brunch at Ten Hands in Towcester instead!
