Furniture needs updating. Dining chairs were falling apart. Ice maker was not adequate for enough ice. Decking needed repair. Ants downstairs. Kitchen was well equipped, but iI would not rent this house again.

We enjoyed our week together! It was great to be so close to the beach and the house had plenty of space for all of us to spread out for remote working and play. While interior was adequate, it needs updating. Chairs and sofa in living area had spots and stains. Decor is dated with many empty hooks on wall for missing pieces. The AC upstairs for two of the rooms was broken for the first two days. Management responded quickly but was still not as cool as rest of house with loud free standing units to supplement.

We had a great time during our stay. We had a large group of family and friends and there was plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub was an added bonus that everyone enjoyed. I would highly recommend this location for any large groups.

This was a great property location for a beach weekend, regardless of weather or time of year. Even though it was cold and one day very rainy and windy, we had a blast. There was plenty to do in Charleston and in the surrounding area. The house is large enough to have a big group without falling all over each other. Some items need attention, but nothing major. We found the check in process to be seamless. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at this location.

We had a large family group that enjoyed this house from just after Christmas until after the new year. It was a perfect size for the 15 of us, including 6 kids. Everyone had a fabulous time. Just for reference, the pool is not heated. The kids didn't seem to mind since the weather was nice and there was a hot tub to warm up in afterwards. Recommended.

This is a beautiful property. The location of bedrooms, all en suite, gave us all privacy while the common areas allowed for easy gatherings indoors and outdoors. The pool and spa were fabulous! And the walk to the beach just at our doorstep. A truly ideal spot.

The outdoor BBQ grill caught fire during preheating creating a very dangerous situation. Contacted property mgr. and received prompt attention. Attendant said the grill obviously had not been cleaned prior to our visit. He immediately thoroughly cleaned the grill. Also, 3-4 dining table chairs were on the verge of breaking and a few of the outdoor chairs were unusable.

We had a wonderful time at the property. Even in February. The beach access was so convenient with the kids, and the house was the perfect size for the group we had.

This home is less than a block from the beach with plenty of deck space to wee and hear the ocean. Spacious inside for a large group of people. Kitchen well appointed. New hot tub a huge bonus! Close to Wild Dunes entrance for great biking and walking. Would highly recommend...

The location and pool are fabulous! The house itself has lots of deferred maintenance. At check in there was a broken section of deck rail, broken ice maker (we were provided with bagged ice), broken window with very sharp edges, light bulbs out and lots of wear on the walls. For the price, I do not believe that we should have had these issues.

Great house and location

Rented over Thanksgiving weekend for a party of 11 adults and 4 children. It was a great property and a great price compared to other similar houses. It was off the main road so it was quiet. The views were spectacular and the decks on the house were amazing. The pool was not heated, so we were unable to go in because it was to cold. The interior of the house was nice enough, but clearly a high volume house for rentals. Would recommend!!

Our family has been renting houses all over the country from the East coast to the West coast every Thanksgiving for 18 years, so we have a lot of properties to which we can compare this house. And our experience here was truly wonderful; we did not find anything that was not top notch. Thank you for providing such a delightful property for our family of 3 generations.

We have stayed in many rental homes at the beach, and this was by far our favorite. It is a beautiful home with a lovely pool and easy access to the beach. With multiple areas to gather, it was perfect for our large family (15) from ages 3 to 70. We would definitely stay here again.

My family came together from California, Oregon, Washington, Missouri, North Carolina, Kentucky and England for my mother’s surprise 80th birthday celebration in March 2015. The house was a great space for everyone except the ‘single boys’ (ages 29 and 19) who were relegated to the bunk room. None of us realized that the bunk room contained ‘kids-sized’ beds that were not meant for adults. We made do with the large and very comfortable sectional for sleeping and just stored their luggage in the kids’ cave-room. The kitchen was stocked very well with pots, silverware and dishes however the knives very badly need to be sharpened. It wasn’t the best weather for outdoor activities and we probably would have had the heater turned on the pool if we would have known that option was available prior to our second day there after talking to the pool cleaner. We also would have left the pack-n-play at home had we known that a crib was available in one of the downstairs queen bedrooms. But anyway, I don't want this review to sound too critical because we did love the place and all of the activities available in and around Charleston.
Recommendations: (1) sharpen the knives, (2) advertise that the pool can be heated, (3) mention the availability of the crib, and (4) mention that the bunk room does not contain regular single beds.

Celebrated our 50th anniversary with family from several states. Kids and grand kids from 5 to mid 40's and everyone enjoyed. Nice space, pool and ocean. Everyone could do what they liked best. Area was very nice with good restaurants and things to do. The house was nice with plenty of bathrooms, beautiful porches and facilities

The kitchen had everything needed and more -- very pleased with the amount of silverware, the variety of pots/pans, and the small appliances. The extra amenities were wonderful -- plenty of outdoor seating on each deck, great pool, pool table, multiple TVs. The walk to the beach was very short -- even the little ones didn't complain! The views from the top deck and family room area are priceless.
Every person that we spoke with at Beachside was helpful and friendly. Thank you so much for your service -- we had a wonderful time staying at the property!

We had a great week and enjoyed the view, pool and short walk to the beach. The house provided plenty of room for our family and was very nice. The location is much better than closer to town.

Our family has enjoyed this property for years. It allows everyone to have their own space as well as room for everyone to come together for meals and conversations.

After reading the reviews, as the new owners, we agree with most of the comments. The property does need some improvements and we are working toward that goal. With regards to the most recent review, we have started with the following: new Trane A/C units in late May 2012, new sectional in upper level to replace broken couch and love seat, new dining room table that seats 10, 4 new bar stool at kitchen bar, pool cues now have tips, new ping pong paddles, broken mirrored door being replaced and many other projects in the works. We look forward to many happy guests in the future and appreciate any feedback.

Great property for family get-away. Furniture in upstairs area needed to be replaced. Dining area was not adequate for 16-18 people. Arrangement of bedrooms were great. Wish owner would take care of refrigerators (needs to have shelving replaced/repaired). All-in-all, would do it again in a heart beat.

we stayed at this home for thanksgiving and we enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean when we arrived and the linens were all on the beds and the towels were in the bathrooms. The house is set up so that everyone can hang out together in either the upstairs or the downstairs living areas, the upstairs living area is open to the kitchen, which our group really enjoyed. The views are very nice and the house is located right next the the walking path to the beach. Even though the new house in front of this house does obstruct the views it's still nice.
I do have a few comments about some things that should be changed in the house to make your stay more enjoyable. Be sure to bring any and all spices as this home only had salt and pepper. There were not any extra cleaning supplies, so be sure to bring them. The house does have a pool table, which is in decent shape but only one cue stick had a tip on it. The ping pong table in the garage area, is OK but the paddles need replacing. Those are fairly small things. One of the bar chairs is broken on the bottom and needs to be taken out of the house. The couch in the den is coming apart on the back and needs to be fixed and it sinks in the middle, we built it up with some pillows. The coffee tables, all 3 in the den are just about ready to fall apart, we tried to tighten the screws in the table, but we didn't really have a screwdriver and there are NO tools in the house to fix anything. The shower in the master bedrooms upstairs needs to be COMPLETELY replaced, it really yucky, and the sliding doors on the shower do not work. Please put some oven mits in the house. We bought some, but took them with us. The lounge chair in the downstairs den is broken and needs to be either fixed or thrown out. The dining room table needs a permenant table cloth on it, as it is a nice size table but the top of the table looks really bad. The couch in the queen / queen bedroom upstairs is also broken on the back. and is also coming unstapled. In my opinion all the the couches and bar stools should consider being replaced. The mirrored closet door in the down stairs bedroom was completely off of the tracks and just sitting on the front of the closet, I put it in the hot water heater closet so it would be out of the way. In the upstairs queen/queen bathroom there is some unfinished repair work.
Even with these issues we enjoyed our stay, but fixing these issues would certainly upgrade your lovely home
