The location, amenities, and comfort were paramount! The view is spectacular!!A place also lived in by the owners, so no skimping on furniture and amenities. Even the layout of the furniture was optimal, and seating and beds all especially comfortable.
Very important to be aware of two things: 1) as the floors are connected by spiral staircases there is very little privacy, apart from the small bedrooms on the lower floor. People and noise from the lower floor sitting room could be heard in the upper sitting room. Similarly the main bedroom (accurately described as a loft) was open to any sound from the upper sitting room/kitchen/ dining area.
It worked out fine for the three of us (a couple and our daughter), but be sure it will work for you. 2) the magnificent windows in the master bedroom allow the room to heat up considerably during the day. The temperature dropped off at night enough that it was comfortable for sleeping (too warm for naps, on some days). The weather cooperated with us with days in the 70's, but if it was warmer it would've been a problem. I expect the shoulder season would be safer, and perfect (we were there at the end of August).
But given all that it was a perfect place!

This is a beautiful home in a lovely area of Maine. Our second time staying here and again we had a great time. Unfortunately we forgot to pack an item that was left downstairs. I contacted Vacasa who followed up with the local team and we were told the item was never found. I find that excuse pathetic given the cleaning fees charged. The cleaning team should have found and returned the item. If they didn't find the item, then how well did they clean the house before the next renter? While it's our fault for not packing it, my advice for future renters is to double check the property again before you leave. If you forget something, like we did, you'll never see it again.

Quiet remote clean. Loved the kayaks and starry skies!

The location was perfect for traveling the coast and yet secluded enough for peace and quiet. Easy to work with property management as well.

The house was very clean and well appointed. The bedrooms were on the lower level, which was a little unusual. The spiral staircases might be difficult to navigate for some—definitely not a disability-friendly property.

The house had everything we needed and it was super comfortable. Also the view was stunning and kayaking was gorgeous.
The house is close to numerous lobster fisheries and Popham beach which is lovely .
Fantastic rental.

Maine Haven is the perfect place for a family or friend group to book. Enough place to be together (great living room, big table for meals) and plenty of room to have some time alone. The kitchen is state of the art, the WiFi is flawless, the beds are comfortable, the shower has two jets! The only thing some may find a bit odd is there are no curtains or blinds in the gorgeous master bedroom, so you are up with the sun, and if you’re afraid of peeping toms, you may want to take the other rooms. We will be back!

This home is just as pictured, and it's just the right place for a quiet Fall getaway. The house is beautiful and has everything you need, and is close to so much in the midcoast. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The cottage was very comfortable and in a lovely setting overlooking a quiet cove. The road was rural (dirt) and fun to walk along in a neighborhood of rustic secluded old cottages overlooking the water. This house had a lot of updates so was best of both worlds. It was easy to get into Bath and from there to many great places north along Rte 1. All in all a great stay!
