The employees were friendly and always willing to help. However, the condition of the room was not the greatest. The air conditioner only had one setting (high) and it was loud. The bathroom sink was missing the drain cover and a cockroach kept coming up the drain.

Property is in need of updating and remodeling. Bathroom floor, sink, and tub had hair lying in them leaving us with a terrible feeling of uncleanliness and the AC unit was old and noisy. We were kindly offered a cleaner room with a much quieter AC unit. The beds were comfortable; the employees friendly; but I wouldn’t stay there again.

The price definitely doesn't match the hotel. Be careful when you eat for the breakfast there because they will put out old nest food unless you say something. Some of the stuff is great. Some of it's really rude and disrespectful. They kept my deposit because when I left my window open my room because you're not supposed to open the window this video there's no sign that states don't open window. I'll never stay here again. And I definitely don't recommend anyone stay here either.

The property allowed a large group to back their van in and block access to the handicapped parking. I had to pull our suitcases over a curb and through rocks to get to the car. Then my handicapped wife had to stumble through the same obstacles to get to the car. Got a shrug when I reported it to the front desk. Not only rude but illegal. We make this trip 5 or 6 times a year but we’ll cross Ramada off our list.

This property does not look like the pictures it shows they should update their photos so costumers can get an idea of what they are getting into! The towels in the restroom stink and are stained the breakfast was horrible. The bathtub was disgusting!

Friendly staff- very accommodating. My room was the issue. Our ac unit blew under the drapes and the rest of the room didnt get any air. There was even a thick layer of dust on top of the drapes! Our allergies were killing us all! We didnt get much sleep. Other than that the room was good for the price

I recently stayed at the Ramada Hotel in Bakersfield, and my first impression was quite positive. The lobby was nice, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, earning a solid 5 stars for their service. However, my experience took a downturn when we entered our room. As we were opening the sofa bed for our two boys, we found two crack pipes and a lighter. This was alarming and unacceptable. We immediately requested a new room. The new room was also disappointing. The air conditioning unit was old and emitted a moldy smell. The carpet was worn out, there were cracks on the wall, and the flooring was coming apart. Additionally, the exterior of the hotel was in poor condition. The walls around the outside of the hotel had numerous spider webs, indicating a possible spider infestation. As we tried to enjoy the pool, we noticed that things were falling apart around us. There was also a noticeable stain at the bottom of the pool, suggesting it wasn't properly maintained. Overall, it was a very bad experience. I won't be staying at this Ramada location again. While I understand that Bakersfield is a common stopover for travelers, the discovery of the crack pipes and the general lack of maintenance raise serious concerns about the cleanliness and safety of the hotel. I appreciate the friendly staff, but the state of the rooms and the exterior need significant improvement.

The room had been refurbished & furnished nicely, but there was a lot of water damage in the bathroom, cracks in the ceiling, etc. Also, large dog barking after 10 pm. No one at the desk when I checked out early. But I would stay again - for the price I was happy.

They check me and my husband into a room that had not been cleaned and bed was unmade couch was unmade so we immediately went back down and ask for a different room. Which the lady who worked up front was very nice. But when you enter the hotel super hot and elevator would not go to 4th floor so got off on 3rd and walked up. Wouldn’t have minded if we didn’t have Luggage. Would not go back to this hotel.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was clean. The free breakfast was nice. They had boiled eggs, apples, waffles, muffins, cereal, coffee, and tea. There's a water dispenser in the breakfast area. As other reviews have mentioned, the age of the hotel shows. The bed was too soft, the furniture and doors have scratches, and the upholstery had stains. The A/C stopped working at one point, which was concerning in the summer, but the staff were quick to come look and even prepare another room for me in case they couldn't get it fixed. Luckily it started working again. I forgot a USB adapter for outlets and was happy to see the lamps had USB plugs, but unfortunately, the lamp's USB didn't work. Another lamp didn't turn on since it was broken where the bulb screws into the lamp. The water in the toilet was leaking from the tank to the bowl unless you fiddled with it.

When booking through Portal expedia.com I did not learn anywhere that the pool is closed due to reconstruction. I booked this motel WITH POOL because of my two children who are travelling with me. The hotel supposedly updates the information every day, but the Expedia.com server did not bother to inform about the closed pool. Never again Expedia.com

When we arrived their was a man and large dog outside behging for money. It was very uncomfortable. The front desk clerk wasn’t around and we waited at least 5 minutes before they arrived. Another guest and I were upset. The clerk apologized and was very kind but said she was alone. When we got to our room it was still dirty. The bathroom looked unswept, there was trash on the floor. The caulking had dark mold spots and the room had a funny smell. The air purifiers were also left on in the room. The front desk clerk apologized and grabbed them right away. Overall it was not a good stay and I would not go back nor recommend it.

The first room we were assigned was not ready and not cleaned either. The second room we were given was okay except the second day we our room keys stopped working and had to get them recharged. Overall wasn’t the best experience but it was a place to rest. Customer service was nice and they assisted us when we needed the help.
