The hotel itself is lovely with the horse and golf decor. The beds were very comfortable, but the rooms have no AC, which was an issue on these very hot days. Housekeeping was inconsistent. When I checked in, the coffee station had dirty spoons and saucers. Over the next few days, only half of the coffee supplies were replenished, and the cups/spoons/saucers were never replaced, so I had to wash them in the bathroom. One day, when I had the DND on the door because I didn't require anything, there was an additional tag that said to come to the front desk. I went, and the receptionist looked at me like I was insane. Overall, the receptionist and main restaurant servers were quite chilly to us. The bartenders were wonderful. We had a very subpar dinner at the restaurant one night- very expensive, but not great food at all. The property is not really walkable to much so you are forced to taxi to the town or restaurants. Also, I had pre-paid my reservation, and my colleagues, and they still tried to double charge me when I checked out. When they processed the refund, the amount was less because of exchange rates, so I did end up paying more. We would not stay here again when we are back in the area.

We have lived here before but now it is getting very worn. No AC so the room gets very hot. Charges extreme overcharges, seems to be a thing of the past. Quite a few guests. Good but small gym, good pool and a good golf course. The food average, try down in the village instead.

Lovely hotel. It’s very nice that they have a complimentary shuttle into town and a symbiotic relationship with their sister property in town, Le Normandy. Be sure to check out live piano music there on the weekend. Beware that they don’t speak any English at this property, which I found surprising for a four star.

Great Place to relax ... great facilities comfortable rooms wonderful food great breakfast wonderful views without being pretentious The only issue was the fact that there is no changing rooms in the spa and also one toilette within it.

Really nice hotel with very helpful staff and a second to none view from the hotel room. Due to the fact that the hotel is located a couple of km outside of the city center it was really nice that the hotel had a free shuttle bus driving between the hotel and the city center all day (and night), although the walk also was very nice.

The hotel is in a very pretty area, surrounded by a large golf course. The pool is in front of the hotel and catches the sun all day. Our suite was excellent and the breakfast was very generous. Our main problem was when seated for dinner in the restaurant, we received no service for over 20 minutes. No member of staff offered us drinks or welcomed us. This also happened on our first evening when we wanted to eat in the bar. Again we were not offered a menu or something to drink for at least 20 minutes. Otherwise the reception staff were very helpful, and in general the hotel is very well run.

Great hotel, very comfortable rooms. Service very good, except for concierge that gave me wrong information and was inconvenience when I fed this back to him and tried to share the right one. Great restaurant and breakfast. A special mention to the lovely people responsible for the shuttle service to other places in town. They were very friendly, professional and effective.

Location is OK, pool is small and not appealing, rooms are TINY and the “view to the sea” is a tiny window where you can see the sea from. Old fashion furnitures. The only renovated area is the bathroom which is great. For that price I wouldn’t chose it again.

This was very disappointing. We had read the hotels of the Barriere group to be of high standard and this definitely was not the case. None of the rooms had airconditioning which at 32/34 degrees wasnt fun. If you were lucky that could provide a fan but in our case they were all gone...It was dirty despite Covid19 extra hygiene measures. And all in all it was shabby and worn. Food was very poor. The pool was catered for kids only and not for adults simply wanting a rest. Not enough chairs, only a handfull of umbrellas. Beachtowels the size of a bathmat.. all in all more like 2/3 star but definitely not a luxury hotel.

Hotel Barrière was magnificent. The grounds, the ocean views, the appointment of the hotel room, the level of service from the concierge - all was beyond our expectations. The included “club d’enfants” is another added bonus for families - it allowed me and my husband some much-needed alone time.

The hotel, spa and service were all lovely, we didn’t have a chance to dine but the dining room looked amazing as well, we even played Petonc indoors and had a stroll to the Golf course... the only thing I missed (and of had time could have possibly asked for) was lotion and conditioner for toiletries. We even got an extra hour late check out which was nice for me on my birthday!

Excellent stay, thoroughly recommend the hotel. Staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay. Only downside is that the walk to Deauville will take much longer than 25 minutes as it took 15 minutes to drive to Deauville.

A really great hotel. The scale and decoration in the lobby was great. Our room (we had an executive sea view room), was really great and accommodated our new baby and young daughter very comfortably. The bed was really comfortable and the bath, shower and bathroom facilities rate.The views from the sea view were fantastic. The restaurants and beach at Deauville are amazing and its truly one of the great European sea towns.

I really enjoyed this hotel but found it a bit difficult to get in and out of to town (make no mistake it is a little out of town). The staff were a pleasure, the parking ample, room service was slow but the food was good. One thing I could say about the hotel that kind of ruined my stay was the fact that it was so terrible cold at night and there is no way to turn on the heat. A call to the front desk revealed that heat is controlled by the hotel itself and cannot be turned on! Ok fine, I slept huddled under blanket only sticking my head out to breathe occasionally!

hotel reception was so friendly even though we arrived at 01.00. we had booked a classic room and requested a room with a view which we were given at no extra charge. on the first night we had a prolem as the person in the next room was smoking and we could smell it through the locked adjoining door. We notified reception in the morning and they imediately moved us to another room without any fuss or delay. The room was spotless though the woodwork could do with repainting as it was very knocked and chipped. Overall our stay was excellent and the service great , though the bar prices were astronomical!!!
