It was really nice having a comfortable clean place to stay for our weekend trip, definitely an added bonus of having the parking garage nearby and the breakfast included!

Room safe did not work. Tv was dusty. Bed was worn more than usual. Still overall a decent value for money.

Do not stay at the Clayton Plaza unless you plan to go to sleep after 11 PM! It’s a terrible place!
The Clayton Plaza rents out the 7th floor for events with extremely loud, thumping music, all in the name of making money. Of course, we all like making money—but not at the expense of guests' comfort.
The music is so loud that you won’t be able to sleep, watch TV, or even remain in your room, regardless of which floor you’re on.
The hotel’s front desk was flooded with complaints from guests, all saying the noise was completely unacceptable.
Their response? “We’re sorry.”
What an awful experience!
Do NOT stay at the Clayton Plaza!

I loved the room!! I stayed in an executive suite. The travel crib worked wellI for my one year old. I loved the dining area for breakfast. The booths and the made to order options made it feel like restaurant dining! I must do it again.

Had a great stay, albeit for one night. Would absolutely stay again, and try to take advantage of the amenities.

Great room!

The staff at this hotel was amazingly friendly and helpful. Really nice people. Fitness room was nice. And the included breakfast was really good. Parking on site too was convenient. A very nice place to stay

Checked in late and took forever for someone to unlock the door. The night person wasn’t very friendly. However, the morning person was very friendly.

Old hotel in dire need of upgrades. There was a wedding reception two floors above us so loud it shook the walls in our room. There are several nicer hitels nearby. Don't stay here.

Hotel is under renovation, so keep that in mind. I read that some rooms have been upgraded, ours was not one of them.. our floor and room smelled like cigarettes. Pictures on the app can be deceiving, no bar or restaurant other than breakfast, pool and game room seemed out of operation. Staff didn’t acknowledge us much when walking by. Nice location though.

We enjoy the breakfast buffet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was better than your average buffet and they had made to order omelets and waffles.
As far as cleanliness goes, they were remodeling parts of the entry way from the garage. The room was clean as expected.

Great place to stay. Safe area of St. Louis and loved that there was a parking garage and the hotel would validate your parking ticket so you didn’t have to pay for parking at the hotel. I do wish the restaurant would have been open for lunch and dinner but as of now it’s only open for breakfast. Beautiful and clean hotel and staff was very friendly. Will stay here again when visiting St. Louis

From the time I parked my car, the team there went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay. The team was so friendly and they all seemed to be proud ambassadors of Clayton Plaza Hotel.
I met David in security. He should definitely be Director of Security, if he isn’t. He was attentive to who was coming into the property and I appreciate that. He told me I was going to enjoy my stay and he was right.
The validated parking and breakfast buffet are value-added, and appreciated.
Love the indoor/outdoor pool.
Patricia at the front desk is a wonderful person. So friendly and helpful. She has a positive attitude that makes her glow.
I definitely will make this my property of choice whenever I stay in St. Louis

We enjoyed stay. Was clean, quiet. Nice gym and laundry room with i believe 4 washer dryers. Game room with free pineball and pacman machines.
Wife and i walked the block and plenty stuff around block. Ask for map of places close to eat and you will be shocked at places in walking distance.

We stay here whenever we come to visit our son. It's always clean and staff are always friendly. The breakfast buffet and omelet station are very good.

Everyone was so friendly from the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance! Will definitely stay there again! Great location too and very quiet.

It was okay as far as service and friendliness but out floors had dirt so bad our feet were black, the faucet was barely hanging onto the wall, a floorboard was popped up in the room, a book light had exposed wires from being previously broken and we were staying around the wing with construction. This is our second stay here and the other half of the building is much better put together from our first stay. They shouldn’t place guests in the side that’s under construction with multiple issues in rooms.

Friendly, helpful staff at the front desk and breakfast. Breakfast was better than expected.

Bed was so so on comfort. For queen beds that was stated in booking they sure were the smallest queen beds i have been in. Me and wife we laying and touch elbows. Room was clean. Best Part eas the breakfast buffet. Food was great and the gentleman that helped us was very helpful with us as i am wheelchair bound. Place was good but i think just a little pricey for a plain 2 bed single room

Pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel was. Very clean and staff was top notch. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower were remarkable. The free breakfast buffet and omelet bar was fresh and delicious. Walking distance to several restaurants and parks.

This is the third stay at the Clayton Plaza, the second with my granddaughter. We enjoy the cleanliness of the rooms, lobby and breakfast room. We love to have breakfast together each day we stay. The staff at the desk is very friendly and helpful. I look forward to our next stay.

From the minute we checked in Mimi made us feel welcome and clued us in to everything the hotel offered, which was a lot!
Parking is safe and easy and free. The location in downtown Clayton is great, much is within walking distance.

Our first room had to have the seat next to the bed wiped down. I told the front desk and they switched our room. The second room was extremely cold. Maintenence came by and fixed the issue. Other than that, the stay was just ok.

Stayed several places in the St. Louis area and the past few months. This was a nice option just further from SLU. Room was comfortable with decent amenities. Shower was really nice! Included breakfast buffet was perfect with incredibly friendly service. Front desk ladies could’ve been a little more congenial And we weren’t directed which elevator to use.

I’ve stayed here several times a year while traveling back and forth to visit family. It is always a wonderful stay and everyone is so friendly. I love the parking option and all the restaurants near by.

One woman at breakfast was incredibly rude

Our stay was a wonderful experience. From the front desk clerks to the restaurant and breakfast- we couldn't have been happier. We highly recommend this hotel. An incredibly stressful business trip was all but turned into a mini vacation because of your staff.

Room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. Jacuzzi was amazing, well worth booking the executive suite. Highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible hotel experience. All of the employees were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were gorgeous and clean and everything smelled wonderful. The all you can eat breakfast was like nothing I’ve ever seen. My son and I felt like Kings for the weekend.

With no carpet and a gray tone floor, the room felt a little cold and unfriendly, but the bed and bathroom were great. The front desk staff could have been a little more friendly also.

We have stayed at Clayton before, so that’s why we came back. Even with the parking situation, why is there only one handicapped place? Also, when we got to our room, I called the front desk to see if we could get another chair in the room, because my husband was sitting in the desk chair, and I didn’t want to sit on the bed all afternoon and evening. I have a bad back. The girl at the desk nastily said they had no spare chairs anywhere! Not a one in the whole place. Never had this problem before. We will not be staying here again. Guy at breakfast was terrific though. Maybe he should train the front desk.

Staff was EXCEPTIONAL. They went above and beyond for booking.

This hotel was perfectly located - central to everything. 7-10 mins to the airport and 10 mins to downtown. The area around the hotel is quaint and lovely. Very walkable with great restaurants and coffee shops everywhere.
The only issue I had was the noise. Not a lot, but if someone left their room and didn't quietly shut the door, it would slam and it was loud. Some housekeeping staff had loud conversations in the hallways too. However, I was on California time so I was sleeping a bit late by STL standards, so I will take ownership of this.
All in all, the staff was lovely and very friendly. I will definitely stay here again!!!
