It’s a nice, clean hotel and good value. However the breakfast seemed expensive if you purchase on the day. The staff were friendly but lacked a bit of professionalism. Maybe just inexperienced. The eating area is a bit clinical and unappealing. The entrance is around the back, next to the car park and therefore hard to find. It could be a great hotel if the restaurant was more luxurious and the entrance signposted.

Someone had stood outside my room smoking, ugh, and smelt in my room but i opened the window for a bit. Good night’s sleep, nice and warm.

Just a two night stay to visit Bury's Xmas Markets, all good no problems and great breakfast!

It was a satisfactory night stay with nothing outstanding

Room is dated with peeling paint cold room not heating

Overall the stay was good, very comfortable bed, very little noise inside the hotel, could hear some road noise though, breakfast okay. Only downside this visit was an unpleasant drain smell from bathroom (not noticeable with door closed).

noisy rooms,A14 can be heard everywhere, weird noisy extraction fan on all the time even with the bathroom light OFF, rubbish buffet breakfast, (£100 a night!), cold water tap not working and could not be fixed at the weekend . . .
4.0
Although the hotel was undergoing building work to increase capacity there was no intrusion from mess or noise. The only downside was the noise from the A14 trunk road which runs close by, as due to unseasonal hot weather required the window needing wide opening for ventilation. Breakfast was ample with variety of choice.
Requires a tidy up of the car parking area as it would appear that the builders are using it as well and leaving a lot of rubbish behind.

Overpriced. Nice staff. Warm and quiet hotel. Very tired and characterless building. Public areas poor. Bathroom was good but bedroom very basic and uninviting. Convenient location for main road access.
3.0
The service of food was poor, not very organised and the restaurant staff hardly spoke a word.

We staid a night to visit Bury St Edmunds. It is convenient but about a 20 minute walk. The staff were friendly. However, we only had 3 pillows and asked for a fourth as they were fairly thin. We were told they would send one, but it never arrived. The breakfast was very basic, although cooked. There weren’t any side plates for toast and the table sticky. Some of this may have been as the hotel appeared to have low occupancy.

Very clean room, lovely comfortable bed, helpful staff. Hotel was quiet, some low-level background noise from nearby roads but got a good sleep. Corridors and public areas a bit worn but there is refurbishment ongoing. Good breakfast. Plenty of parking.

Very pleasant staff, clean and comfortable.

Had change rooms on arrival as severe riad noise. The second room had awful smells from the drain which i reported but no action

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The main downside we had was the breakfast when we went down there wasn't much of a selection and what they did have was cold or had been out for a while. Overall the room is worth the price but the breakfast isn't.

This is a very pleasant hotel, nice rooms, good beds, and excellent service - Luke at the reception was especially kind and helpful. Recommended!

Comfortable well located hotel. Easy walking access to Bury St Edmunds. Food (breakfast and evening meal) was quite nice and menu was not overly epensive.

Staff were excellent and friendly. Room was clean and had all the essentials you could need :)

This is more about Expedia than the Hotel. Only filling this in because they insist on keep sending it to me, this was never booked by me, it was an error on Expedias system which they took my money for and will not give back. Poor hotel had nothing to do with it!!

The young receptionist/bar person (I didn’t get her name but she is slim with dark hair and a tattoo on her upper body) was extremely accommodating and so helpful. I had a lot of work to do in my room but needed to have a meal. I asked if I could eat my meal in my room, so ordered it and began to wait. She very kindly offered to deliver the meal to my room when it was ready. The meal was delivered 15 minutes later by this lovely young lady and with a smile. Great customer service, thank you so much.

My wife and I had a very relaxing and lovely stay at this hotel. We both slept like a log and for us the bed was excellent.
Everything was very clean. Breakfast was more than enough and the staff were so attentive.
Would definitely stay thère again

Warm, comfortable, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Good value but room was so noisy as it is so close to A14.
Breakfast good, restaurant food okay but such a huge pile of chips with main course a lot was wasted

Staff were polite, welcoming, interactive and professional. Bed was comfortable. Room was large, quiet and clean. Restaurant was spacious and food was very good and decent price.

All OK. Bit out of town to what I thought. Reception was OK and reasonably fast. Room was fine, basic but all good. Bed was quite uncomfortable and duvet was lumpy. Shower was good but the controls for water heat and are extremely sensitive, being boiling to cold with a millimetre of turn. Breakfast was all there, only thing was the 20 army recruits taking over the window area of the restaurant.

All good but breakfast wasn’t the best
4.0
really nice clean rooms and lovely food, the only downside was the rooms were so hot, they had provided a fan but more than one would have been better.
8.0
parking along way away from entrance for people with limited mobility if you can not be taken to drop off point.

Staff were excellent very helpful. Breakfast was good plenty to choose from. Bed was a small double. The full length mirror was too far from the dressing table so hairdryer would not reach to mirror. This was the only mirror in the room you need an extension lead as no plug near the mirror.

Booking in staff not helpful no info given to me when they finally finished talking about there private life and booked me in, the bathroom wasnt fully cleaned ,the breakfast was a farce waiting for each dish as it ran out , under staffed, and to top it all i wasnt given the room i paid extra for awaiting a reply from hotel and head office for a refund on my room option i will not be using this company again

I have written a letter of complaints.

Breakfast was £12 however this was in short supply.
Front desk staff could be friendlier.
5.0
Really nice hotel: large room with comfortable bed and a very good shower. Friendly reception.
Comments: the entrance gate is not obvious as instead of the hotel sign it says "authorised vehicles only". The same sign is all over the car park but you are authorised as soon as you have registered your car at reception so ignore it!
