On the surface everything was fine, but when we got into the room part of our suite it looked like someone had shot c** all over the walls, the bath tub was clogged, and bathroom door wouldn’t shut all the way.

The property is more outdated than portrayed by the photos, however, I did notice some nice renovations inside the room. These included a modernized bathroom and television. Unfortunately several of the outlets in my room were not functioning, including the TV’s. It was an unconventional check-in as I wasn’t able to enter the lobby until I utilized the phone at the entry way to speak to a staff member. The staff member was very polite, professional, and helpful. The parking lot was not lit up as I would have preferred. Overall, the property was drab but a good price value. And a nice, safe location just down the road from Jordan Creek Mall.

I had a reservation on this hotel on September throughout Hotels.com for 1 night. When I got there with my daughter ( we were traveling from Colorado to New Hampshire) the guy at the front desk said the computer was down and that he couldn’t let us stay. I said : listen already paid , just give a key, but he said NO, he couldn’t . So I had to find another hotel in the middle of night. When I asked for my refund with Hotels.com they denied. They said they do not remember the incident. They kept my money. Even the costumer service from hotels.com couldn’t believe it. nice job. You are a great manager. I have a suggestion: call an exterminator, when we were seating in your front desk sofa trying frantic to find another hotel for the night we saw cockroaches walking at the front lobby floor.

I thought the laundry room was nice. The room we stayed in was large enough for the two of us. And everything worked. I didnt like the general appearance of the hotel. Outside landscaping needed to be cleaned up, parking lot needed re-paving.The lobby entrance is tiny and can get crowded. Everything seemed old, worn out, and outdated. There was food left in our units' refrigerator. 😑 Our last night stay there the police were called to the hotel TWICE. Front desk person was rather vague and blase about it when asked about it. Definitely would NOT recommend this hotel! We stayed a week and our unit wasnt cleaned ONCE that entire time. Unacceptable. This hotel is not worth the price they charge.

There was dirt and bugs in the towels. The walls and doors had stained drip marks all over. I didn’t even get into the sheets because I was nervous about what I’d find. Didn’t even feel comfortable walking barefoot here. The hallway had torn carpet spot and a strong smell. For the price, we cancelled our stay and stayed downtown for the same price, but 10 times better. I’m so confused as to how other ratings were 8 stars and up. 2 stars is generous in my opinions. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Facilities are showing some wear and tear, but clean and orderly. Elevator was excessively warm. Hotel was full, but quiet. Parking lot was over crowded, and a bus was parked for 5 days, taking up one whole row of spots. Room was clean, cool and comfortable. A/C kept up with the 100 degree outside temp, so that was great. Kitchenette was a great option for multi-day stay. Room did initially have a distinct food smell upon entry, but some fabreze and running the A/C cleared it up.

Prior guests had been smoking in the room. Even with window open, I could smell the odor in my clothes when I arrived home. Manager did refund my parking fee.

This place is ghetto. The property is in poor condition and it smells horrible inside the hotel. My room had 4 lamps and 2 of them weren’t working, along with the outlets next to the bed. The only good thing about it was the location

Our room was not as pictured. Was expecting a suite with two queen beds in a room and a couch in the other. Got a bed in a living area and another bed in a smaller room. Our daughter found a toothpick in the duvet cover. Bedroom door had a huge dent/hole in it. Just didn’t seem as updated as pictures appeared.

Nancy at the front desk was amazing!!! I really enjoyed my stay so much that I came back after canceling another booking. For the price, the rooms are updated and comfortable. I would highly recommend it. You're in West Des Moines, many restaurant and stores nearby.
