Told us when checking in the TV wasn't working. Could give us a new room. We didn't need TV so no problem. Then get in, no working phone at all. Reported. No working internet. Reported. Found out that you can connect a cell phone but not a laptop but it was spotty in terms of working. Then in am, no hot water from shower.

Check in was quick and easy and the girl working the front desk was lovely. The room was fine upon first glance but the bathroom sink had a hard time draining and there was a smell coming from the room. We were on the 4th floor and our 2nd of 2 nights the elevator was broken. It was still broken the following morning and we had to carry all of our stuff down 3 flights of stairs which was annoying. They also never came to clean our room after our first night, not sure if that’s common for here or not.

Front desk clerk was friendly. Cleaning staff hospitable and responsive. Breakfast needs major improvement in the quality of food served. Room clean and adequate.

We were able to check in a little earlier which was great. When we arrived in the room, the TV was not working. when we called the front desk they lied about being on of a few other rooms with the same problem and that our room would be put on the list for someone to fix it. upon returning back to the room that evening we inquired about the tv and we were told by someone else at the front desk that the TVs have not been working for over a month. It was very sneaky that they lied about fixing the TV. Most importantly that they did not inform of the TV situation prior to checking to the hotel and that they lied about the TV not working.
In addition, the breakfast was very poor.

Room was what a person would expect from a $25 night hotel. The location was poor and the Manager threw the key into my chest and said he would not credit my account, and that I could leave if I wanted. I would have left, but I needed to change and get to the Wedding meet and greet.

Moldy bathroom, just super unclean property
3.0 / 10.0
The room was musty smelling so I lowered the a/c setting. When I went to take a shower, there was mold all around the closed drain and on the drain plug. I cleaned it the best I could. If I ever decide to try this place again, I will bring some mold killer spray and air freshener.

We arrived to check in on our way to Montecello. Nobody was at the desk. We waited for 5 minutes or so and just left to go do the attraction. When we returned the woman at the desk was very friendly and professional. Later that evening we needed something and I called down several times before finally going down to ask in person. Nobody was at the desk. I waited at least 15 minutes while guests came in and waited as well. When she returned she was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. No protein all carbs which the kids liked but adults didn’t. The big hit of the hotel is Raising Caines is literally in the parking lot of the hotel.

The check-in process was seamless, thanks to the excellent staff. While the hotel offers basic amenities and simple breakfast, it is a great value for its location. The facilities are perfectly adequate for a comfortable and hassle-free experience, making it an option for travelers who prioritize both affordability and convenience.

Good overall for the affordable price. The TV in the room didn’t work, which we were informed of during check-in. We reserved a king room but were told the only options with working TVs would be to downsize to a full size bed without a refund. Breakfast was good. Coffee being available all of the time was a big plus for us!

Jada was the best part of our stay, she was excellent, informative and friendly. She gave us delicious cookies and wonderful recommendations. Our room was beautiful breakfast was good. I was missing the instant eggs and some meat, but we had waffles and it was just as good. We will stay here again in our future visits to Charlottesville!!

First room we stayed in smelled like mold, floors were damp, and the sheets felt wet. We notified the staff the next day due to it being late and we were exhausted. The front desk staff was very quick to act and got us a new room.
The new room was spotless! Very clean, bed was comfy.
My two other complaints are the pillow are half size and the breakfast was a bit disappointing. But for a short stay, the hotel was nice and close to downtown and the breweries. The staff was incredible.

This was far far better than I had feared. The property is better than the aveage Clarion. While still embarrassed to tell someone I was staying at a Clarion, the place was clean, safe and inexpensive. It worked well for my needs.

You can see the long term residents smoking near the air return. The water and moisture buildup and rot around the windows on the outside

The shower barely managed to produce a drizzle and that made getting shampoo out of my hair difficult. The light on the night table on the left side of the bed was burned out.

I don't know why so many reviews said the property was clean when our room smelled like mold and mildew and was damp, there was urine stains on the toilet, stuck hairs and glue (i hope) on the light switch, the duvet was yellow, and the shower faucet sprayed outside the tub.

During my three days stay there were two times people tried to get into my room with their cards. I checked in properly but somehow the system showed this was a vacant room and were still available for other people to book. I was sleeping in the morning and there was someone just opened my door. SO SCARY. And the staff took this issue as not a big deal.

The check-in process was good - we were put on the 4th floor. Our room had a funny odor and when looking closer, the floor was wet near the air conditioner and we found mold on the ceiling. We were moved to another room. That one smelled better, but I still found black specks on the ceiling. The bathroom vent was extremely dusty and black. Breakfast was decent though!

The only thing that was confusing was how to get to the actual hotel. It is placed behind a restaurant I believe and it felt like a one way but once I realized where it was, everything was good. The room had a nice fragrance to it and was very clean. I will definitely come back to Clarion Pointe when I return to Charlottesville.
