Great location for NOLA… close to the market & Frechman street; actually close to everything. What we didn’t realize was that this was on the third floor with no elevator. The room was large with wooden floors and a balcony. Staff was friendly & helpful in every way. Would definitely stay here again
2.5
It was a very good stay, the only negative point was the noise made by guests in the middle of the night

Had a wonderful stay here! Loved the property and the management was incredible. We had a small issue with plumbing (understandable with an older building) and they were so quick to fix and provide us with alternative services while it was getting fixed. Would definitely come back again! Shout out to my girl Gabby too :)

The Good: easy check-in/out, friendly and helpful staff. King room was very clean, and spacious for a single traveler. Wi-Fi worked fine, bed was comfortable, though the pillows didn't offer much support.
Areas for Improvement: there was no safe in the room. This is pretty standard at even budget hotels. There was also no functional deadbolt on the door. The door had a bolt, but it was covered, rendering it non functional. The door instead was limited to a security latch (the kind that have basically replaced chain latches), and one side of the door could be bolted into the door frame. Maybe that's enough, but particularly with doors that face directly outside, the lack of a deadbolt was curious. I should note though, that by facing "outside," I mean into a courtyard/alley which requires key access - your room door is not directly open to the street.
Water pressure in the shower was pretty poor. Washing and rinsing hair really took some extra time because of this. The sink was clogged with a very slow drain.
Generally the room was quiet but less so on weekends, given the proximity to Frenchmen. Some noise spills over from there into the wee hours, as well as loud folks walking the streets after a night of partying. My room was also an adjoining room. Though my neighbors weren't unusually loud, a good bit of noise through the shared door.
I would stay here again, but it would not be one of my first choices. But in cases where the price is unbeatable, maybe.

I was in the rear quarters where there was obvious construction going on. I was difficult to move luggage from the front property to the rear property. The room had no hangers, no toilet paper holder, (which i found out the fist time I used the bathroom and realized the new roll of toilet paper was across the room under the sink, and ultimately, the reason I left is because I could not get any Wi-Fi signal and was unable to connect while i was there. Hence my early check-out. I have not yet been refunded the $100 deposit I was charged when I checked in. Having said all that, the staff was lovely.

Love the LaMouthe House! SO close to the great music on Frenchman.

Lovely hotel in a good location on the quiet residential side a half a block outside the French quarter. Room was large and furnished with antiques, and room looked out over Esplanade, so it could be quite noisy at night. Room smelled of bleach when we entered, and the coffee machine had a used coffee pod in it. The pool is a nice feature. Staff are friendly but the property could use some refurbishment.

Great location, friendly and available staff, and amazing pool!

Beautiful historic place with a cozy patio with pool, marvellous rooms but
Lack of confort, no night stand, no chairs and dull furniture, no fridge.
2.5
Hardwood floors were so clean, you could walk on them with bare feet. Furniture marched the time period of historic building and they all passed the dust check. Day and night staff were very welcoming. A little noisy on the first floor but nothing a sound machine wouldn’t drown out! Clean pool and peaceful courtyard area.
2.5
I had a wonderful time. The lobby was clean. Hot coffee always available. All the stuff was super friendly. The attendants at the front desk are kind and courteous. My room was clean. And the pool was perfect tempt all times. I felt at home. I will visit again.

Cozy hotel with a great courtyard and gated parking!

The Staff was Wonderful! Everyone was friendly and very helpful with directions and with anything we needed. Walter and Mrs Lisa(I hope that's her name) were just amazing! The room was nice, cool, and clean and so was the pool. It is a quite area so if you are looking to be away from Bourbon St this is the place for you. It was only a 15 min walk from Bourbon St. I would recommend this place and will be staying again.

The staff is absolutely AMAZING! We just happened to find this hotel on Expedia and thought it looks so cute we had to try it. We booked for one night. We arrived late afternoon and by the time we got our luggage into our room we were ready to book an extra night. We extended our New Orleans vacation because of how wonderful the staff was and how easy they made everything for us. The day staff was training a new guy and even he was super nice and friendly. He gave me advice on where to go for my birthday the next day. I came back to wisconsin telling everyone I know what an amazing time we had at Lamothe House and how we can’t wait to go back again next year. Just for the hotel and staff. Shout out to the amazing concierge man too! He was the friendliest and most helpful person ever! The staff there has made us want to return yearly! We were also secretly celebrating our engagement the day before and plan to stay there when we come back down to the gulf to be married next year!!!

Great stay. Sad to leave.
I consider my self a NOLA local. Worked here as a travel nurse for 9 months. Came back for a job interview and had to book a hotel. In a neighbood in familiar with but never stayed.
Hotel has the old school charm but all the consciences. Not sure what any previous bad review were about. Pool was nice. Very quiet I never heard anyone. Safe. Steps from Frenchman. Quick walk to quarter.
Lost my phone and Tameka at front dest was a godsend. I will be telling everyone about this place.

The pool area and the lobby were so intricately beautiful.

Great place but my room was double booked and a guy walked in on me and my wife.

Second stay at Lamothe House. Can’t beat the location easily walk to either French Quarter or Frenchmen Street. Only issue was the bathroom sink was stopped up. Staff was to work on it but we never took the do not disturb off the door even when we were gone. So they do respect your privacy. Look forward to my next stay.

Beautiful "coach house" type location behind Lamothe Mansion - enjoyed the pool. This is an old structure but AC was very cold, bathroom was clean with plentiful hot water and decent pressure. Living room on our suite had a fridge and two dressers. Suite had two tv's. Actually sited on Kerelec Street the location is a 3 minute walk to Frenchman.

Staff were very friendly and helpful

Understand that this is an historic French Quarter building dating back to the 1700s, with all that goes with it. My only criticism is that a coffee maker was not available in the lobby.
3.0
Was a given a room that was accessed directly from the street and the door did not have a deadbolt (only a handle lock and a chain lock), so did not feel very safe. If we had a different room, would give the property a higher rating.
3.0
Plumbing slow to drain, room was small and a bit musty. Cockroach in light fixture and noisy from courtyard .
4.0
Quaint and good location

Beautiful property close enough to walk to many things, but quiet enough that you feel secluded

We love the Lamothe house and prefer to stay every time we visit New Orleans! It’s comfortable, quiet, safe, and the location is convenient to our favorite places to visit while in town.
This time our visit from the spirits were plentiful. NEVER felt malevolent. Everything from the staff to the spirit presences were friendly. Definitely helped rank this 4th visit to Nola right at the top!
The price hike during certain nights is double that of others so that would be our only complaint and common for most hotels we look at. Waiving that price hike or offering a discount for return visitors would be nice. We will be back and already looking forward to our stay next fall or spring!

loved the peaceful location in the single rooms across kerelec. Room was great and gound level.. enjoyed small tables outside. great access to pool, lobby and ice through the back door across kerelec street. very close to the french uarter.
Only recommendation would be to put some hooks in bathroom to hang towels, clothes, etc.

Very pleased with the space overall. Great location for visiting the French Quarter and surrounding areas. Very walkable to Bourbon area but far enough to separate from it when you need quiet. The couch in our room needs to be thrown out or cleaned thoroughly, but least of our concerns. Little pool and overall setup of the property were great.

We loved staying here and will stay again in the future. Close enough to
The action but quieter. Amazing old mansion - we stayed in the suites facing the street and loved it. The rooms are HUGE! High ceilings and great comfortable beds. You do need to hike up two long banks of stairs - think old mansion so no elevator. We are in good shape now! The area had some sketchy parts but we’ve been to New Orleans over a dozen times so we were aware.

Room about 1/4th size shown on website. No amenities. No daily service. Even a chest with paper wads under front legs because of unlevel floors.
2.0
Great location close to Frenchmen street but the property was really run down. The sink in our room wouldn’t drain and was basically broken and the bathroom and shower were really in poor shape. We asked for the sink to be fixed three times and it never was. I’m sure they knew it was broken when we checked in. They moved us from a room with two double beds to a room with a King bed (not ideal for our trip). It was tiny and clean but lots of things were broken. Drawers that wouldn’t open or wouldn’t close. No phone, or coffee pot.
This property could be really cool and funky but it needs some TLC. There are lots of other properties we’ve stayed at nearby that are priced similarly that were much more comfortable. We will not be back.

We had lots of privacy in our unit. We were very close to Frenchmen which we loved! It's not quiet at night if you're looking for that, but it's a great location to be near the nightlife.
We didnt get our room serviced at all, despite asking the front desk directly. We only stayed a few days, but any more and i would have liked some fresh towels. The staff was friendly, though!
2.0
Disrepair, very small room, awful towels. Beware they have another house behind the big house with no security and adjacent to a property under construction with only a narrow alleyway leading to the rooms with doors facing the alleyway. No sitting area inside the house and patio needs lits of repsit

Second I have stayed and all good as expected

Staff was friendly, room was dirty as soon as we got there. There were things inside the room that were broken. Housekeeping never came, never brought toilet paper, towels…
The bed was comfortable. The area is nice and the parking is convenient.

Near Frenchman Street and the French Qtr. Just amazing music.
The room was clean, but very small, and the TV never worked.
