I found the furniture run down sofa stained hall carpets ragged. Asked for 2 bathrobes. There was 1 had holes not even sure they were laundered.

The hotel was nice and historic. We did eat the first night at the Blue Mermaid. The food and service was great. Parking at the hotel is impossible valet is the only option. Traveling with a child in a wheelchair that is medically fragile we had a lot of stuff and the valet was patient but we felt rushed. They were grabbing items out of our car. It was chaos. We also could not access our car without getting valley. No fault of the staff or building but it just wasn’t right for our needs. The hotel was very nautical and cute. The room was spacious. The mini bar situation was too much for us and less alcohol in the room would have been more ideal. We had room service breakfast which was great and fast. Cool hotel but not for complex medical accommodations .

Hotel is in a great walkable area to the Piers and Wharf. Lots of great restaurants and things to do near by. Had interactions with check in and Valet. I have to say I was not impressed by either. They did their job slowly and could really care less. Property is a neat find but don’t be prepared to be “wowed” by a super attentive and friendly staff.

Listing stated “city view” of an alley. Felt unwelcoming from the checkin desk, oversized vehicle fee, plastic bag wrapped stuffed animals in the room. Couldn’t have been more shook for a dime at a carnival. Unnerving.

Nice upscale hotel in a historic building near the Bay. Only criticism was the room is listed as a "City View." There was no city view!

I found the $75 overnight parking fee completely outrageous. They also charged me $35 for a 'guest amenity fee', for which I don't understand the purpose or reason. So, I paid $110 over my booking price. I find it outrageous! Also, when I was checking in, the person behind the desk told me that I would get a $50 credit to use at the restaurant, which we did eat at that evening, but we never got the credit.

Great location in the wharf and super convenient if you have tours planned as they mostly go from the wharf area. Excellent room and communal area. Quick check in and out. Appreciated the $15 daily credit to spend in the restaurant. We used the restaurant for breakfast a few of times and it was very nice.

Our flight got delayed so we missed our first night. Unfortunately we could not be refunded. Location was perfect, on Fisherman's Wharf next to Ghirardelli square. Breakfaat at the hotel was good. I had avocado toast. There are lots of restaurants and touristy things nearby. Our room was spacious. Bed was comfortable.

We were a bit worried when we arrived that the area outside the hotel was crazy busy and full of loud cars, bikes and music… but we had read a top tip to request a courtyard room and so actually our room was super quiet and relaxing and a nice break from the chaos of fisherman’s wharf. Restaurant breakfast was delicious but there’s also a latam coffee shop on the corner of the block directly behind the hotel who do amazing pastries. The hotel is perfectly located for the tram stop (get there v early to avoid a long queue) and Ghirardelli chocolate (go very early or very late after 7pm to avoid crowds). We used our food and drink credit for a sneaky beer in the evening after a long day exploring the city.

The staff at The Argonaut is so friendly and accommodating. The Blue Mermaid is excellent for breakfast (coffee for hotel guests starting at 7 am), lunch, dinner, or cocktails, with a fabulous staff, especially Peter! The rooms are spacious and clean. There is plenty of seating in the lobby if you’re waiting for transportation. The location can’t be beat - walking distant to so many restaurants, shops, Ghirardelli Square, and the piers. This was our fourth stay, we will be back, and we recommend to everyone!

The staff was amazing the place was very nice. We had to move rooms due to noisy people above us, they were very accommodating though. There was also a homeless man blasting music in the lobby that the staff removed. San Fran has a lot of drugs and homelessness it’s very sad and even over here we saw several people that made me concerned for my child’s safety and it was just sad. The staff was amazing.

If you want to stay in the circus that is the Fisherman’s Wharf, then this hotel is for you. It’s very touristy and therefore doesn’t have a personal touch. It’s very clean and the restaurant is good for breakfast. When we arrived I wasn’t keen on the unhelpful doormen. No help with luggage. The man at the front desk had the most outstandingly bad breath too!!

The hotel is right on the Aquatic Cove beach and the Maritime Historic Park. It's very convenient. The house keeping staff are super nice and on top of the service. I'll say we stayed in many different hotels. Their house keeping team is so far the best of all.

The Argonaut is my favorite place to stay in San Francisco. It is quiet and luxurious. The location is wonderful, right next to Ghirardelli Square and close to Fisherman’s Wharf. The restaurant, the Blue Mermaid, has delicious choices, including its iconic roasted corn and crab chowder. Pricing makes the Argonaut an occasional treat, but we really enjoy our stays.
