10mn walk from the beach and 10mn walk from the town centre. Pretty convenient hotel, and the area is pretty peaceful.
Staff was welcoming and helpful.
Parking easy
Fun hot dog restaurant just next door.
Expect a little noise from neighboring rooms and wood deck , but that really was ok

Typical American motel with nice rooms, fridge and microwave and freezer parking. Morro Bay is a lovely place to stay. Only downside was the late night noise from The Siren pub nearby.
4.4
The room was spartan but acceptable. The bed was comfortable. There was no bathtub in spite of the photo on the web. The price was a bit higher than other local motels.
4.4
The room was clean. The bed was very old. I didn't get a great nights rest. I left a magnifying mirror on the big mirror in the room. I called the next day and then again the following day...they couldn't find it. Not a big deal but we go to Morrow Bay every month and I would have liked to have the cleaning staff put in lost and found but they said they did not find. We left the cleaning staff a tip so I really thought it would be turned in.

The unit we stayed at has obviously been refurbished.Only a short wak to the Main Street with many restaurants.
Comfortable bed and overall very good.

Great View - Comfortable Bed - really pleased it had an ironing board and refrigerator. Staff is always friendly and helpful. This is my third visit at Pacific Shores and have never been disappointed.
4.4
It was comfortable and convenient for walking distance to eat and shop. It was quiet. People are friendly.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the big room very much . Our room was very clean but the smell of bleach was way to strong. It smelled like a bottle of bleach had been spilled on the carpet and was very strong throughout the room. Even so we would stay there again probably.

The Queen size room was about the size of a one car garage. Bathroom was very small, the shower curtain did not stop the water from wetting the floor. Several window shutters were broken. The room was one of two built above the office. Toilet seat loose. Problem to watch TV as the control does not allow easy use. So bad, we decided to read, rather than deal with the TV.

They only offer room service on the 4th day if you stay like a week. I struggled with making the bed because they did not use a fitted bottom sheet on a king bed. The bottom sheet was all over the place each morning.

We booked on the description of a view and sleeps 3 - 2 adults and 1 child 12 years old. When we got there there was only one king bed no additional sleep area. I had to add another $45 to get a room with another bed and no view. Behind house keeping. Outside looked a little runs down. The front desk agent was very nice and tried to access us as best he could. I feel the accommodations were misrepresented by the hotels.com website description.

my unit is at ground floor close to the street, trunks made loud noise before 8am.
4.4
Very comfortable beds, all amenities included: refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave, iron , hair dryer, air conditioning.

For an older motel, the room was quiet, and extremely comfortable beds/linens. The facility (exterior) has taken a beating over years of sea weathering, but the amenities and location more than make up for lack of needed exterior upgrades. I love that the shower/bathroom actually had a window, which added ventilation and a lot of natural light.

Nice room and a good location

Bedding was dirty with all kinds of stains.

Wonderful place to stay in Morro Bay.

I've left a few reviews from previous stays, so this one will be fairly similar. The location, staff, & value for the price are all great! The new renovations were very nice as well. The whole hotel is quiet, but one thing...
I've noticed other reviews mentioning the seagulls & I agree - they were very noisy but hey, you're at the beach. Bring those earplugs if it bothers you.
The new ac/heating wall unit didn't really feel like it was working & I miss the older units that had a "fan" option for the noise. The water pressure in the shower was fairly weak. NONE of these are meant to bring the review down; just wanted to list them because these are things I'd like to know about a hotel before I book.

This unit was spotless.. Our room was 3 full queen beds and it was spacious and spotless but it was along the road and it was a bit noisy. However, it appears that the regular sized units were not on the busier street. The whole hotel was an easy walk to the strip down by the shore and the manager was sweet and very helpful. I would stay here again.

The lady who helped us check-in was very nice and let us check-in one hour early. We were happy to get a room with a view of the Morro Bay rock. Unfortunately, several of the blinds were broken and we couldn’t open those blinds. The room was pretty small for the two of us. The bed and tv left hardly any walking space. Plus the tv didn’t even have any available channels. When we tried to connect to the streaming services, it wouldn’t let us. Connection was also horrible. The room was fairly clean— no complaints there. I wish there was a mirror to use while I got dressed though!
The hotel is located in a convenient area of Morro Bay. However, the worst part of our stay was the noise!!! It was extremely noisy. You could hear everyone who passed by on the street, the neighbors who kept coughing and choking while they brushed their teeth etc. (eww) and mostly all the birds who made noise the whole time!!!! The constant noises kept me up all night. We were supposed to go out and spend the rest of the day at the beach but after such a bad rest, we drove back two hours and took a nap at home. I wish I had more good things to say because this place has so much potential.

Even though we arrived after check-time ended, the hotel staff was very accommodating and waited for us. Clean, spacious room.

EVERY THING WAS PERFECT

Ok stay, room was large, bed comfy. It was recently updated but sparsley furnished, window blinds all broken, heat/ac unit did nothing to heat or cool room.
There was no service what so ever for a 4 night stay, not even trash pick up or towel exchange.. disappointing.
4.4
Nice Hotel newly renovated, great location, comfy bed, would definitely stay here again.
4.4
The property claims that they recently renovated but the windows were broken the toilet bowl was cracked. When we complained the lady at the front desk would not make any concessions and was not even apologetic about the issues. There response was do you atleast have a bed
4.4
Easy check in n out close to everything in town
4.4
The bed was unusually tall. My wife had problems getting into it. Nice view of Morro Rock from upper floors.
4.4
Amazing choice for a short vacation in Morro Bay
4.4
The property is nice and safe. Walking distance to restaurants and the bay. The front desk agent had good customer service.
4.4
Very rude personel, dirty under the mattress, carpet with blood stains etc
4.4
Great stay! Comfortable beds. Clean and close enough to walk
To the Embarcadero
4.4
Had a great stay here and loved how easy of a walk it was, the stairs to the third floor were a little tough on the knees but the view of Morro rock was lovely! The front desk staff was kinda and the rooms seemed newly renovated. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
4.4
Overall this was a great place to stay. We loved how close it was to the bay and the rock. It's basic, needs a little fixing/updating but fine for our purposes. I would stay here again.
4.4
The area was really nice, the room was clean upon arrival. The bed was comfortable however there wasn’t a mattress protector on it. The shower door was kind of hard to open and close and water would splash out of the bottom so it would make a mess on the floor. It was an easy clean up, just annoying that it happened.

This is my family’s second time staying in Morro Bay. This property is right in the center of town, very walkable, and close to shops and restaurants. It’s been renovated in the recent past and is in very good, well-maintained condition. We would definitely stay again when in this pet of the West Cost.
4.4
Great affordable hotel close to the ocean
4.4
Nice place only two blocks from the esplanade. Older, but clean and well maintained.
4.4
The three beds in a hotel room worked out well.
Not seating or table in the room. No luggage stand. No place to hang clothes. Vehicle and foot traffic loud. Street sweeper and landscaping tools loud early morning. Carpet border falling off wall.
4.4
Very basic place to stay. Nothing fancy, but a little expensive for what you get. However, the area is expensive in general.
4.4
We had the family suit. It was clean and comfortable. Very cute and right down the way from morro bay rock. Would definitely stay again
