Had a great time here. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful, and willing to make special accommodations if you're unsatisfied with any part of your stay. Prices are pretty competitive with other similar hotels like Starfish.
The decor in the rooms is modern and gives it the feel of a more expensive hotel. Beds are comfortable and the room we stayed in had a balcony with an incredible view. My one complaint about the room was that the bathroom area did not have a door, however this was unique to the "superior" rooms, and the hotel was willing to relocate us to another room if we wanted.
The menu selection at Cafe Havana was pretty limited. There were maybe 1 or 2 chicken options, with several more beef and pork. Lots of vegetarian options. Everything we did get tasted amazing, but if our stay was any longer we would have probably gotten tired of getting the same food so often. Still a great experience overall.
If taking any meal package when booking, be aware that lunch is only a single entree, and dinner is either a starter and entree, or entree and dessert. Also, lobster and steak are not available as part of any of the meal packages.
If travelling with family or kids, make sure your selected room has a bathroom door!
Also there are a LOT of stairs, this is not a hotel for physically disabled or older folks.

While the hotel is somewhat dated, it can't be beat for friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and owners, the gorgeous private beach, multiple pools, large rooms, great vistas, nice restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We loved our time there very much.

Need upgrade and a facelift. Facility is very worn and outdated.
6.0 / 10.0
The property needs some TLC. And some entertainment for the guest. However the staff was fantastic and pleasant . The menu needs more options and there all inclusive should include drinks. Or at least water.

My wife and I loved Bacolet Beach Club. We had a wonderful experience there. And there were a few glitches. The air conditioning had problems. The phone to the front desk did not work. Small things. Yet things that caused challenges. We did not expect to have to pay the bill upon arrival to the hotel. Be warned. No problems at the end, just a bit surprised. We would stay there again.

This was my second time staying here. Overall it’s a good hotel. The staff was very inviting, not as much bugs as I expected and the food was really good. I even got two massages which were really good. The only things I can complain about is the stairs down to the beach, my God! I also didn’t have a phone in my room. Other than that, it’s a very peaceful experience.

This hotel is a home away from home. With friendly staff, comfortable rooms, scenic views and private beach. My partner and I really enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The restaurant was great . And the shops that were nearby were convenient.
Our time was well spent .
Will definitely recommend coming back . Even if its as a single female independent traveller.
The massages at the spa were most divine do have one while your there.
I left a google map review with photos please view my comment there.

This was a mixed visit with my friend. Whilst the majority of staff tried their best to accommodate guests, I had an unfortunate exchange with the owner over my dinner meal one night which was quite confrontational. Breakfast was a mixed as we had to ask for additional fruit, yoghurt to be served, coffee served in a huge urn. They would cook eggs to order so a change from the usual buffet items. Other guests did tell us that they felt breakfast was the worst meal of the day. I did enjoy a burger cooked well. There are 67 steep steps down to a small private beach and a bar where you can order food/drinks. Pool was very nice and lovely sea view. Our rooms were supposed to be seaside and I was told they would cut down some branches from a large tree for a better view from my room but this didn’t happen. I’d also add that there was one hairdryer for use and you had to ask at reception then return so bring your own! Overwll , this hotel is overpriced and relies on mostly European guests who want winter sun and on full board. There is nothing around the hotel and need to take a taxi into town. The island is beautiful and's enjoyed Mt Irvine Beach. Treat yourself to dinner or lunch at The Seahorse or Waves for a special meal. the Fish Pot was also good. In Scarborough, a visit to St George’s Fort is worth it for the views and the Museum. Overall, good for a short vacation but would look at staying on another part of the island closer to beach. Special thanks to Thessa.

It is a lovely place, friendly staff and great service all through our relatively short stay. Nice and secluded private beach and ample swimming options. Thanks for accommodating our late check out request.
We look forward to visiting again soon.

Fantastic setting and room overlooking gardens, pool and sea vew over to Trinidad. Room rather tired in places, and balcony sliding (pull, shove, wrestle) doors not working well, difficulty to open near impossible to fully close. Be warned, lot and lots of steps. Breakfast not bad but more cerals please.

The staff at the resort was wonderful, but we were quite disappointed with the conditions of the resort. We booked a balcony room, but the sink did not work. The staff moved us to a new room while we were at dinner, but they moved us to a first floor room. The entire resort seemed very dated and in disrepair, though it was clean. The views are limited, especially in first or second floor rooms, and the beach is quite small but very cute and scenic. The menu at the restaurant was large, but the food was fairly mediocre and the service was quite slow. Overall, I am surprised that the reviews are so high for this place, as we did not have that experience. Again, staff were terrific and responsive, but this place needs a big update.

Beautiful property!! Everyone is extremely nice. Owners are great.
The rooms are a little dated. The linen was a little stained up, and we never had hot water in the shower. But for the piece of mind, we can overlook those things.
You feel very safe and comfortable on the property.

Staff at the hotel was very polite and helpful. A few minor hick-ups at check-in were quickly corrected.

Despite losing an entire night because we arrived the next day, the room was not ready. Upon entering the room, it was as pictured on the advertisement. The furniture was older and the beds was not comfortable. The Superior penthouse suite did not appear to be rented for some time because the facilities were rusted with lots of lime scale. The patio doors did not lock; however, they did resolve the issue by sending a maintenance person to adjust the doors. The pool that was closest to the room was out of commission for the entire stay. The room lacked a working television that provided local channel access. Be prepared to subscribe to a streaming service if you want to watch television. The refrigerator did not get cold unless you put the items in the freezer. The steps that headed down to the pool were either infested with ants and termites or were narrow and very steep which was a safety hazard. In regards to the complimentary breakfast and dinner, this was by far the most disappointing. There were not many local traditional foods and the dinner options were limited. Many items advertised on the menu were unavailable. The food was sub-par and had a non Caribbean taste.

When we arrived at the property the entrance to the lobby wasnt well lit, however you could see cobwebs hanging from the light fixtures as if no maintenance was done in this hotel in months. We informed the receptionist that the pictures of the hotel was false from those on the websites. They offered no apologies and tried to check us in. I refused and went to another hotel.

The property itself was beautiful, however not maintained. Broken beach chairs, seaweed on the beach, not cleared, bars with no staff, dirty patio furniture, restaurant was really dirty, could have used a paint job as well as a good cleaning.

Staff were great and accomodating especially Tessa who shuttled us from the airport. The view from the room was beautiful, the room was clean but needs some updating, no place for soap in the shower and lightning very low in bathroom. Our sliding door didn't close and maintenence was alerted right away but he couldn't fix while we were there so we had lizards popping in to say hi. Overall it was a good experience the food in the restaurant was good...although I don't have a preference for salami, and baked beans for breakfast I enjored dinner. I wish everyone the best and hope to see you all the best

Our room was clean, no problems there. Staff were courteous as well. Pools were beautiful. Didn't realize to get to the beach required walking down 55 steps.....that was not worth it. Had I know I would have booked somewhere else without a beach, since we didn't use the beach. The restaurant though leaves a lot to be desired. I paid for the breakfast and dinner to be included, however the options for choices for dinner were limited and I wasn't informed of this before. The food and drinks were overall mediocre.

Huge place, customer service and amenities are good.
However, beach and poor maintenance of the gardens disappoints a bit.

This beach resort/club provided the exact respite I was needing. The staff is competent and friendly, with many vacation amenities. I traveled with my teenage daughter and two of her friends - the rooms were well designed, the view from our verandah was the ocean, and there were three pools and a restaurant with a very capable cook. I will recommend this property to anyone who is thinking about vacationing in Tobago.

We took a day trip to Tobago. I found the property on Expedia and booked it. The room was nice, clean and had air conditioning, so that was my main concern. The pool was nice and there was a small private beach. The room was perfect for us and we enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recomend to anyone looking to enjoy a quiet, beautiful stay in this magical place...

I had a wonderful time at Bacolet Beach club. From airport pick up to my return home, the customer service was on point. Kudos to Tessa and Kelcia!! When I arrived there were a few hiccups such as no TV remote and the kettle was not working. These were promptly rectified by Kelcia. The room was clean prior to arrival and was cleaned everyday. Beds were well-made and bathroom was clean and well maintained. The meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were delicious with great options. I was happy about the breakfast changes each morning. Tessa, thanks for being so accommodating by allowing us to stay out longer while holding our lunches until we returned. This was a pleasant vacation. Only thing is that the room wi-fi needs to be upgraded as it was poor at times. Overall, it was a good experience and I will definitely return!!!!!!

What we liked most was how friendly the staff was and the onsite restaurant had a variety of options to choose from.
It is also about a mile from downtown and the private beach was a plus.

This property looks tired. It’s definitely not a 4 star. It has so much potential however the furniture is old and tired. This is my second stay at Bacolet I would not return unless they make some updated changes
