Great location, and nice room with a kitchen. Would definitely recommend. Francesco is awesome, go have a coffee with him!!

We really enjoyed our stay at La Corte. Situated perfectly at the edge of the historical centre, meaning an easy walk to the sights, restaurants and bars of the city, whilst also keeping a quiet atmosphere to rest in. Francesco was a fabulous host, bringing us sweets every morning for breakfast & giving advice on the city and things to do in the area. Very communicative over WhatsApp which helped the language barrier!
Apartment is clean and very comfortable stay. Having access to cooking facilities is useful. Parking was further out than expected - about a 7 minute walk from the B&B, but we were able to find a space every time and it appeared many others were doing the same thing, and we had no issues with the car.

Francesco is a great host, fresh pastries daily. Excellent communication, unit is very convenient - just inside old city walls. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lecce.

Our host, Francis (Francesco) was amazing. He made sure we got settled in properly even though he was at the beach with his mother and son. (Thank goodness for WhatsApp video calling.) He brought a different assortment of fresh local pastries to our door each morning and sent a message as soon as he hung the bag over our doorknob. Francesco showed us where to hang our laundry to dry, and it turns out that he hangs out the laundry on the roof each day himself. He's a real hands-on owner. The property was conveniently located close to the train station and was on the edge of Old Town, so it was perfect for us because we walk everywhere. Francesco also sent us all kinds of dining and shopping information well before we arrived, as well as detailed instructions for getting to the property from the train station (straight down the street). He is a warm, genuine person and he has a beautiful place to stay. We will absolutely stay with him again if we ever return to Lecce.

Great value stay ideally situated in the historic centre and close to the railway station. The owner Francesco is a great host, friendly and welcoming. Lecce has become my favorite place in southern Italy.

Perfect central location, close to station and even closer to the stunning old town with numerous restaurants, bars & shops.
Francesco was a fabulous host, delivered local pastries for our first breakfast and came back to visit us to check we were happy. He even posted me back my sunglasses which I left in the apartment. 10 out of 10, thanks F!

i stayed in a lovely little apartment. The owner is very helpful. You can easily walk to all the sights in the old town from here. Be aware that if you have a car you need to park a few streets away in public street parking (no cost).

Our host was exceptional, very helpful, communicative and friendly. Our apartment immediately felt like a home away from home. The location was excellent. We will definitely book a stay here in the future.

Great stay at Del Corte, was like an apartment, full kitchen with a small balcony. Excellent location in old town but on a quiet side street yet still just minutes walk to many good restaurants and cocktails bars ( great drinks at Quanta Basta close by) . Francesco (the host) is a really nice guy and will go out of his way to help, if needed. Hope to be back again in Lecce.

Francesco is one of the best hosts I’ve met on my travels. Nothing is too much trouble. Always asking if everything is ok. He even went to the pharmacy when I was sick to get me some medicine.
The room I had was very spacious and was supplied with water, coffee pods and Francesco would bring each guest a fresh pastry for breakfast every morning.
The room was in the historic centre mins from shopping, restaurants and the big sites. It was only less than a 10 min walk from the station & very easy to find.
Each day the room was cleaned and freshened up, I couldn’t have asked for more to be done.
Even now I have left, the host is still messaging me to see how I’m feeling!!! What a super host he is.

We absolutely loved our stay! Francesco was an excellent host, providing perfect communications regarding parking, and a thoughtfully curated list of locale restaurants, museums, itineraries and all. Perfect location behind the university, and a very lovely room with community kitchen down the hall. Strong Wi-Fi too!!

Great place, super-nice owner.

We stayed here for four nights to use Lecce as a base for exploring the bottom half of Puglia. It is old school but very well done, comfortable clean rooms and the use of a shared kitchen which was great to sit at the table and catch up on emails etc and heat something if you wanted to stay in. I would say it is value for money for such a great position. Breakfast was help yourself to whatever was there plus the owner bought us a pastry each in the mornings. It is up a narrow flight of stairs but at least we were there for four nights. If on a budget I would recommend.

I was the only person staying, which is surprising because the facilities are good, the bed was comfortable and the property clean breakfast is plentiful and suited me. The stay is good value. The owner even arrived with a fresh pastry for me in the morning.

The apartment is centrally located and everything is within walking distance. The apartment is very clean and well equipped. There is everything needed. The bed is comfortable. There is a cozy balcony which I really liked. The breakfast is good and included in the price. The communication with the host worked perfectly, for which I am grateful. I can really recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to visit the old historic city of Lecce.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The B&B is strategically located within the old town from where you can easily walk to reach out to amazing places. Francesco (the host) is such a friendly person, taking care of us on every single piece of information we needed, and the rest of the staff was kind and nice to us. we highly recommend this B&B to enjoy the city of Lecce, going out and about through the close cities of Porto Cesareo to enjoy a dinner out in front of the Adriatic Sea, or have a dive in its crystal clear water at Torre dell' Orso. Definitely, we will come back as soon as we have the next holidays. The free parking is really close to the property. Highly recommended by Alberto & Elisa.

Loved our stay at La Corte.
Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Old Town of Lecce. Great location and Host!

I booked on a very short term notice (3 hours ahead of time) – maybe this why the landlord didn'r even know I was coming. So everything was closed. Luckily we could reach him on the phone and he explained everything so we could check in. From then onwards he was available in notime on whatsapp.
Everything was clean, the rooms are a kind of dark because not much light is coming in. I left early (8.10 am), so no breakfast – what was available, wasn't really "inviting". What was a bit disturbing was that I could not lock my room and that a cockroach was there ..... !

Excellent value, and an ideal location for someone arriving by train as it's halfway between the station and the city centre

La Corte is inside the beautiful old town super close to the Dome, the other main interest points and, if you come without a car this is relevant it is close to bus and train stations. The place looks as advertised and I had no issues throughout my stay. Francesco is a lovely host who made sure my time at La Corte was great.

Liked being inside the city. Felt very safe. Staff met us and assisted with parking.

What a great place to stay - inside the “Centro Historic”, close to all of the sights(not that anything is too far away) and an excellent host who delivered a welcome snack, advice on free car parking, and tips on restaurants which were well considered. Francesco is a thoughtful and well prepared host and we thank him! Lecce is a fantastic place to visit and for a short or longer stay, it is recommended, as is La Corte.

located perfectly in the old town. We booked a B&B including breakfast but there wasn't any. As an alternative were we given one of the local breads/cakes after lunch each day.

Le Corte B&B was more than just a place to lay ones head. It was truly a home away from home, and its more than cozy, clean, and comfortable fixtures and amenities, were bested only by its owner and gracious host Francesco. After the greetings and his detailed helpful advice on the local sites and restaurants to visit he honored us with a delicious treat made renowned by his village. Even though our time at Le Corte was brief, Francescos guidance and the welcoming friendly local people of Lecce made our stay truly memorable.

A very nice BB, close the center. There is no parking, you have to park your car on the street where you can find a space.

No breakfast at all. There was a very bad smell of mold in the room because of air problems. Not what you expect of the review that are written.

It is a bit hard to find, at night you might have real trouble. Unlike the front door picture on hotels.com website, the front door is presently obscured behind some scaffolding, tucked away in a corner to the right. Mien host, Francis, contacts you like an airbnb thing and meets you there. He is prompt and efficient but if you speak English only listen to him carefully. He supplies a photocopied map but you might need to download your own better one (incidentally the local tourist office outrageously charges 1,50 euro for one and tries to sweeten the deal by saying it is in English…DUH). Lecce is very nice in the late evening in summer when heat has dissipated from pavement and wall, during the day it was oppressively hot with many businesses closing down and many people presumably taking a Spanish-style siesta. There are many baroque buildings of significant charm. The “free breakfast” is make -your- own coffee or tea in a communal area and minimal to eat viz. little cake things in plastic wraps, though he did supply a nice apple, “friand” (or was it pear?). There is lots of kitchen equipment for you to bring your own food and cook away. The aircon worked well, the room was a good size but the shower really needs a seeing to with bleach and scrubbing brush around base, which I recall was described by a previous reviewer as very difficult to get into and out of. They were correct. There was a good supply of hot water.

I had an excellent time in Lecce and the surrounding area, in no small part due to the friendliness and very welcoming manner of my host, Francesco. He also has a devilish sense of humour (very similar to my own) and is rightfully proud of his beautiful city. The room I had was excellent value for the money paid and I would have no hesitation in recommending anybody to choose to stay at La Corte.

Francesco is the most attentive host! Each morning he either brought me a WARM fresh passtica( Lecce traditional pastry ) or took me to cafe round the corner. Room is huge for one amazing decorating and kitchen w toaster oven. I saw the other rooms and they are fab as well many w full kitchens and he offered me them at same price. For One week I felt like a queen! Close to train, centre, loads of eating places. Quiet and I even used roof top washer. A real gem !!!

Lovely place, albeit dark inside. No balcony or terrace....Kitchen was nice to have. AC worked....and quietly. No buffet breakfast as advertised was a disappointment. Instead we received each morning a pastry customary to the area, delivered by the property manager; Franceso.

Although the BnB was a bit hard to find the reward in staying at La Corte was the overall feel you get for the city of Lecce especially in the historical section. Francesco is an excellent host and he checked in daily to see how our stay was and off course to deliver Lecce's signature pastry, pasticciotto. You have easy access to the historical section via walks and if you have a car you are provided with a pass to park in available spaces next to the BnB. We had an extended stay and the kitchen provided was an excellent opportunity to create our own Italian meals from the many markets that you can walk to. Don't miss this stay if you are in beautiful Lecce.
