Great place to stay

We loved our time! The hotel is truly a boutique hotel. Our room was clean and cool which was nice. The grounds and pool etc were just beautiful. We really enjoyed the kind staff.

We had a great 5 night stay at the Villa Scacciapensieri. The room was cozy and very comfortable. We loved the outside of the facility, it was beautiful, flowers, lemon trees, beautiful landscape. The staff were good, the staff who worked breakfast were amazing! The front desk seemed a bit stressed out. We rented the bikes which was a blast! Our minor complaint, they refused to uncork a bottle of wine we planned to drink in our room. They gave us a beer opener, but not wine.
The facility offers very little, which was what we were looking for, just FYI if you want extras

The Worst Stay Ever !! This hotel management team will tell you it’s illegal for them to heat the rooms more than twice a day for short periods ….this is fraudulent behaviour. We checked into the hotel - premium room and upon entering the room it was dark, damp and very cold. We asked for the heating to be turned on and was told this was not possible because of local government rules on heating times. Given the condition of the room it’s damp state and temperature I would not ask my pet dog to stay there. This is NOT a 4 star hotel and does not justify all of the positive ratings. - if you look at those - most were pre covid after which I am told the hotel went into administration and emerged in a poor state - no refurb and no investment. We were moved to another room , however this was a mezzanine up steep stairs with no handrail - joke. I’m a very regular traveller and stay in hotels at least 80/100 nights per year - this was the worst in terms of description and mid match to reality. We asked for a refund and were refused. After some further complaint to Hotels.com they did assist - but I would suggest that you PASS on this hotel AT ANY COST. - you have been warned. This is at best a poor 2 star premises and only stay here if you like to be cold and damp

The hotel grounds and facilities were beautiful and well maintained, and the views were great. The room was comfortable, and the air conditioning was effective. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The receptionists had great recommendations for restaurants. I don't really have any negatives.

Nothing special about the room. We really appreciated the bathtub after 7 days with only showers at other places. Disappointed that we weren't informed of all the breakfast options until the second day.

The best hotel of our trip by far

Gorgeous place. The staff we’re very friendly and helpful.
Included breakfast is very yummy , the only complaint I would have is the food at dinner , didn’t look good and didn’t taste good . I suggest you going down the street there a pizzeria near the camping , there pizzas were amazing . The rooms are cute and comfy. I would recommend this place .

Out of town so very quiet.

Beautiful hotel out of the way from the busy tourists area of Siena. At the same time, not walking distance to old Siena and taxi one way to piazza Mattieto is about 12 Euros. We also had an infestation of ants in our room which staff seemed indifferent to and the food at the hotel’s restaurant was a bit underwhelming. Otherwise, a beautiful location with ama I got views and nice rooms.

The location is close to Siena, yet in a very Tuscan enrironment, giving best of both worlds. Staff was extremely friendly and we felt welcome and expected. The site is very beautiful, with lots of relxing spot. ideal for seeing Siena, while getting plenty of relaxation.

Excellent hotel, you feel like you are in Italy rather than in a generic modern hotel. This hotel is really nice, clean and efficient but it has character as well. The pool is nicer than it looks in the photos. The grounds are quite large so there are lots of places to sit under the trees, by the fountain, by the pool, etc and staff wander around and take your drinks orders to make it very relaxig

Super friendly staff. Excellent food.

Very cute, comfortable boutique hotel with a wonderful restaurant and friendly, helpful service. Also, the bus stop into the town center is at the end of the driveway, so it is very convenient to get into (and out of) the scenic old city. Siena is a great central location to visit the other historic points in central Tuscany.

A wonderful Tuscan hotel with old World charm and character. The property has many options for enjoying relaxing moments with different views of the countryside. Our dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the lounge was a great place relax after a full day of trekking around Siena. All of this was combined with an excellent and helpful staff.

This hotel is one of the nicest hotels Ive ever stayed. The gardens and grounds are so beautiful and picturesque.
The restaurant is a must!! There is seating inside or outside. The chef's menu changes daily, expect to be blown away by his dishes! I highly recommend this hotel. The staff goes out of their way above and behond.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Scacciapensieri. The property and grounds are beautiful: traditional elegance surrounded by natural beauty. The staff was very professional and ready to go out of their way to make our stay special. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner out in the garden, enjoyed the swimming pool, and even used the tennis court a couple of times.

We never wanted to leave! The hotel was fabulous! The grounds were spectacular and the location was just perfect. Our flight was delayed getting to Rome so we only had one night in Sienna or we would have stayed longer! The staff at the hotel were so welcoming and so very helpful!!

Early 1900s vacation/holiday hotel. Good dining facilities with great coffee at breakfast. Beautiful grounds with gardens, nice pool, plenty of space to relax outside day or night. View of the Tuscan country side from the grounds is the stuff of postcards . Outside town, so you must take 10 minute bus to city center- it stops at the end of the driveway. Unique rooms. Not business hotel standard. Hope I can return some day.

Pillows seemed a bit hard .
Room was very small.
Great customer service though and impeccable grounds .

Great service and breakfast. Not happy with the two single beds at our room as we were a couple. A/C very outdated. Helpful staff.
2.5
Beautiful gardens, old world feel, free car parking. Plenty of space in the grounds not to feel crowded.
Bathroom a little on the tight side in our room. Service friendly rather than first class.

Our stay was the best and we would love to come back. Kind, friendly and above all helpful staff. It can be a little overwhelming being in another country where our language is limited and when we had transport problems it was happily resolved y your reception. Thank you so much.

Magnificent location. Just at €10 cab to Siena. So nice to stay in a villa in the Tuscan country side. Authentic Tuscany experience. They recommended an awesome tour to San Gimignano, Chianti etc. was a wonderful day. The hotel made it so easy no request was a problem. So nice to be away from the tourist area and soak up the Tuscan way of life.
