The hotel functioned well. Great breakfast and a great location with buses to the station, No 6 , sadly despite asking we were cold in our room and resorted to using the hair dryer to warm it up. Value for money definitely.

Centrally located, friendly staff. Clean room.

Room was very basic. The bed woke us every time we moved. We had an issue with our shower but, it was fixed quite quickly.

Perfect spot for a few days in Brighton.

Staff were friendly/helpful and location/price was excellent. Facilities were clean but a few items (e.g. television connection lead) in the room were in need of repair. Overall I'd recommend this as a decent budget hotel option.

Handy for the Brighton Centre and trains, good breakfast, clean and staff were friendly.

Good hotel at price. Reception greeting was frosty. Lady not happy that I had to push door as I had not realised, due to no noise...then she refused to smile ..all very awkward.
Room was clean and free breakfast was nice.

Stayed whilst my own local property has a new bathroom installed.
Have stayed here numerous times before and all is good.

Great property and awesome central location with tons of cute shops and restaurants around.

this hotel should really be classified as a hostel with individual rooms. The photos in the website are incredibly misleading. Firstly it’s totally overpriced at £150 for one night when there is not so much as a bottle of water in the room. it’s a very depressing building on a main street . there is no air con and the rooms look like empty offices with a bed and cheap desk in and one harsh light. you have to open the window to be able to breathe as that lets all the street noise in. the inside handle on my door was hanging off. the walls are paper thin, everyone comes and goes slamming the doors behind them . drunk guests making a load of noise at night . it feels like a glorifies prison cell at london prices. I don’t feel very safe and ended up propping a chair against the door which i’ve never done. Again, you’re led to believe it is actually a hotel but that’s a a bit of a stretch. it’s an utterly depressing experience and you should probably only booo this place if there’s absolutely nowhere else and u just need to sleep. possibly the worst ‘hotel’ in brighton / hove . . it’s an £80 room at best. Avoid if u want a nice comfortable , safe stay.

It was good apart from an incident that took place on a Wednesday night when the room was mistakenly booked 2 times 2 people and then it was ok after sorted. I was shocked to find the fridge in the wardrobe

Floor in the room was not swept/cleaned every day. Bed was never made. Top of desk and bedside table wasn't dusted.

Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms! I stayed here for 2 nights and found it hard because of reviews to pick somewhere but I would come here again. My first night I had a bad night because the bed was unconfortable but the receptionist put me into a different room straight away and it was so much better. It is clean, the showers are really good! The pressure and temperatures were spot on. The free breakfast was a nice touch also.
The only thing I can say is that because of the location there are a lot of noises on the streets throughtout the night.

Signage to cafe, on the door at end of passage way would have been helpful. Lighting above mirrors either in the bedroom or bathroom was not ideal for putting on makeup or fixing / drying hair as electric outlet was also to far away for hairdryer, although this was just a minor irritation. Room was clean, although decor could do with refreshing, bed was comfortable and I had got a good night's sleep :-). The staff were friendly and helpful, Breakfast was good, Close to shops, public transport and only 5 minutes' walk to the beach, I was happy with my stay.

room was clean main problem was noise from bathroom fans in other rooms which sometimes disturbed my sleep and street noise early in morning which I know is beyond your control, also access steps to cafe, which need a hand rail as I have a balance problem. apart from that we had a nice stay

Easy place to stay. Traditional English breakfast, plus other options, including vegetarian. Comfortable room, quiet despite being on a busy shopping street. Nice staff.

Great place to stay in Brighton, at a good price

Booking is slightly misleading - Parking or public transport then underneath suggests no parking on site.
Expensive public car parks made this trip a third more expensive.
Hotel is like student accomodation but did the job.

Was very good. Although noisy bathroom fan and poor toilet flush it was a good room and stay.

Staff were super helpful. Clean comfy room. had a great nights sleep.

No good experience gap under door which let noise in waking me intermittently when people talking in corridor. Wrong choice of wall decoration wall painting dull no proper curtains room small very expensive for that price

The rooms at Britannia Study Hotel are much larger than the usual hotels in the UK, considering that this is classified as a budget hotel.
It is very conveniently located on a main throughfare with several supermarkets, a Mark & Spencer, a mall and many restaurants nearby. Only 5 minutes walk to the seafront; 10 minutes to Brighton Pier and 10 minutes to The Royal Pavilion and Brighton Museum and Gallery.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations by a long way from the warmest of welcome by the team to the comfortable rooms to the superb buffet breakfast together the central location which makes for a famous value for money place to stay. Absolutely wonderful.

Overall a good stay....Needs a little TLC and still no USB points in the rooms!!

The room I had was larger than most I've stayed in lately with minimum, but functional, furniture which reflected the study approach with open shelving for books above the desk. There were also ample accessible sockets so I didn't need to unplug a device in order to make a cuppa.
As a sleep apnoea sufferer, I was delighted that the modern trend in hotels to not provide a socket at the bedhead had been ignored and I was able to hook up my machine without having to lay cabling across the room. Little things like this count for a lot.
I vaguely remember the building from when it was an office block, and I was pleased to see the windows and some other original features have been retained, though conversion has meant that it's a bit warren-like. I was delighted to find that windows, though not double-glazed, kept the noise out which helped satisfy my request for a quiet room.
The floors are of wood and while I was aware I was probably clomping around above somebody else, I didn't hear anything myself. Very noisy extractor in the shower room but that's not unusual.
All in all, clean and comfortable with helpful staff. Breakfast selection was restricted but adequate and mostly tasty. On both days, the sausages had tough skins even though I was first in one day. My wife - who understands that stuff - told me that might mean they were microwaved which would be lazy. There's a British flag in the logo so...
Disappointing sausages aside, I would definitely stay again!

Clean and presentable room with all facilities. Located in one of the main high streets with shops and eateries very close by, but no noises could be heard in the room.
Only issues were bedside lamp not working and a noisy extractor fan in bathroom but the rest of room and facilities made up for these.

Not wheelchair accessible, unless you can get out and into a stair lift chair?! Even though after calling to ask if it was accessible I was told yes we have a lift, hmm big difference between a lift and a stair lift!! Two people on front desk weren't too bothered about the fact I couldn't get to the room. Appalling customer service.
