Pleasant Staff on arrival and a nice hotel
4.6
Stayed here for 2 nights in July, very impressed with the location and grandeur of the hotel as you approach.
Room was comfortable and clean and wifi was strong in all parts of the hotel. Breakfast was cereals toast and juices and was very nice, 1 down side and this is just a one off they held a prom night and VERY loud music under my room until about 11pm but thats been and gone now and they did tell me when i checked in

The building is quite impressive, although old & modern dont always blend harmoniously. Suite was decent size -slippers/and or gown would add a nice touch. Deep bath but no bath foam & towel left at other end of room. Hand towel ring was on opposite side of room to basin. Nowhere to put toiletries in shower except floor which not good for older people. We were kept waiting until exactly 3 when all rooms became available. Cleaners had left building earlier. Most places let you in a bit earlier if room ready, especially if you have paid to upgrade room.
Generous tea supplies but a biscuit would have been nice
Breakfast was very slow as 1 poor waiter was serving a busy dining room. No bowls for cereal, only dried fruit. Cooked breakfast arrived almost same time as I started cereals
Nice setting.

The open log fires and relaxed environment were excellent. our first meal was cold and breakfast were not up to standard, but would stay there again

THE ACCOMMODATION 1ST CLASS!
THE FOOD PRODUCED BY THE CHEF EXCELLENT!
THE SERVICE EXCELLENT!
THE WAITRESS AT BREAKFAST ANNOYED BECAUSE WE CHOSE A DIFFERENT TABLE TO THE ONE SHE HAD DECIDED WE WOULD SIT AT! ... BAD NEWS!

Ok one night stay.
Bed a little too hard
Room very hot in June 2023
Gardens a bit underwhelming considering the amount of land the hotel as.
Food and drink good.

Very impressed on approaching Mitton Hall and interior equally impressive.
Room well appointed , modern and clean but lacking clothes hangers and toiletries in shower. Also no phone to contact reception to address the missing articles.
4.6
Imposing building but the interior was tired and mismatched furnishings let it down. Large room with fabulous window onto the surrounding countryside. Brilliant staff.

Just beautiful
4.6
Wonderful setting and lounge area let down by the management having just two staff on (one in the restaurant one on the bar) with between 25 and 30 people dining and staying over.

Lovely hotel & location.. staff very welcoming and attentive.. food superb.
4.6
Lovely hotel- very quirky in character - loving the real home fireplace- huge feature as you walk into reception- staff are friendly and welcoming.
The room we occupied was spacious - but needs some tlc- mould around the shower cubicle and mould in the corner of the bedroom wall- which was gathering spiders and not pleasant. The bed was very soft and the pillows were like paper- so not a great nights sleep tbh. No air con in the room as they advise you not to leave the window open due to mosquitos from the lake /river- so you cant really leave the window open. Breakfast was good- bar isnt the cheapest - but overall it was nice stay over.

Just a nice place to stay and relax

When we arrived, they couldn't find our booking whether there was bad communication between Hotels.com or the Hotel we were not sure, therefore there was not a room booked for us. As there was a wedding the next day, they were only able to give us a room for one night, which they did and upgraded us to a more expensive one. Which was good customer service on their part. The receptionist was very helpful and accommodating.

Lovely hotel with great service and good food Room was on the small side. Due to it's location it would be very useful if there were EV charging facilities available.

Mitton Hall is a beautiful hotel. The lads at the bar were very warm and friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was that I was unable to connect my Echo Alexa and my Firestick tho one of the lads lent me a Bluetooth speaker but I missed my Echo. The food was very good and the room sort of medium but it was a room for dogs. It had a bathroom and all amenities.

A one night stay at this beautiful hotel. A mixture of old and contemporary perfectly blended. The Queen Suite is well worth the money, spacious and welcoming.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The food is outstanding! Fresh ingredients perfectly cooked and presented.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing stay. Brilliant service. Gorgeous hotel and surroundings. Couldn’t fault it.

Excellent stay - Staff couldn't do enough all were an absolute credit and made our stay all the more relaxed.
The only issue was the shower (wet room type drenched the floor) However toweeels we used to mop up were replaced immediately. Fantastic stay :)

Had a great stay at Mitton Hall. Beautiful period building. Room was nice and big, very comfy bed. Staff there were very nice. Excellent bar and restaurant.
4.6
Beautiful location, staff lovely the room was fine but not thoroughly cleaned to the standard expected. Breakfast was excellent.
4.6
Checked in much later than expected to be given a free upgrade to a suite! Unfortunately weren’t able to have an evening meal - partly due to late arrival and no availability beforehand, but breakfast was excellent.

I thought the hotel was fantastic and the guys on reception where great. The room was an ok size. Some of the communal parts could do with new carpet. I thought the service at breakfast wasn’t very good but the breakfast was nice.
4.6
Lovely old building. Great location for the walks we wanted to do.
The room was adequate but very hot all the time and noisy due to barking dogs nearby which could be heard having to have the windows open due to the heat. The standard double room is very small and I would recommend booking a bigger room if available.
4.6
Generally excellent with high quality food and attentive staff. Be aware that a standard room is quite small. One niggle was that a very thick quilt could not be changed to a summer one - it was very warm while we were there. Lovely ambience and relaxed setting.

Only had a one night stay but will definitely book again. Beautiful hotel with a great bar. Outside area and restaurant superb.
