The part we stayed in was rather old and had no TV. The food was excellent. ML

A cute place. Wonderful staff. A great dining experience.

Only lodge in Brier Island. Nothing to compare. But very clean rooms. Nature spot!

Dining room was good however the room was dated with uncomfortable beds and a coffee maker that was dirty with no coffee or condiments.

We enjoyed Briar Island very much. Our accommodations were nice, but the front desk staff was bad mouthing the cleaning staff to us and we found this to be unprofessional. Easy check in and check out. Nice view from our room and it was quiet and comfortable.

We were housed in the older section of the Lodge. No TV, but there was WI-FI. Very clean and the housekeeping staff were very helpful when needed. Overall for the one nite stay we were satisfied for the clean room. One suggestion is to update the mattress's in the older rooms.

It definitely had a small island flavour.

Great restaurant wait staff!! Delusion food.

The property is a lodge - you’re going there for that kind of feel. The interior was awesome, the outside was breathtaking. We could see whales from the seal lookout just a short distance away from the property. Will highly recommend to all. You definitely get what you pay for and I left the island well rested and in awe of the whales

Great place to stay with good food :)

For rooms that have no TV or AC, it is too expensive. Doors, railings, and other outside areas need painting.

First, the PROS: the staff is amazing and very helpful. The dining area in the hotel, the menu and food quality are top notch. Stunning view when no fog.
CONS: this hotel screams for an overall renovation. Old smelly carpets, doors and windows outdated. Shower (room 9) can't mix hot and cold water simultaneously; I took a bath instead, filling 1/2 tub with hot, then cold. Steep gravel driveway (900lbs motorcycle) leading to the also graveled and bumpy parking once arrived on top. Wheelchairs, good luck; no accessibility either. No bashing here, just plain truth.

Nice hotel but be prepared for no TV and no air conditioner

The property was overall good. We would have liked that the restaurant closed later so we could eat something after our late afternoon whale tour. Also the water was not consistent, it was hot for like a minute, then cold, then again hot, maybe because some other rooms were using the water. But overall we liked the hotel.

Such a quiet peaceful lodge, we had a lovely one night stay while we were on the island. Close to all the lighthouses on the island, stunning views all around and the restaurant had amazing food. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, we had the best time and we will be back!

The views from the property were amazing.

Upon arrival and receiving key for room, room was a dump, bed was more like a cot with a mattress that must have been on the bed from the 80s.The room and bathroom was damp and hasn’t been touched in decades.
Upgraded room cost $340. 00 per night.
Advise anyone that is planning on visiting Briar Island to not even think of staying at this location. If visiting, make sure it’s only for a day trip and return on ferries to mainland.
Highway robbery.

The room we had was OK but there was no shower curtain in the bathroom so we had to request one. Also, later we noticed the door to the room, which had a window facing the parking lot, had no curtain or privacy screen. There was no way to hang anything over the window either so anyone walking by could see directly into our room. The restaurant was great, the food was excellent! We mentioned the issue with the door to the staff when checking out.

Had a great experience with our stay at Brier Island Lodge. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area giving ideas on how to spend our time on island. Can’t wait to come back !

Repeat customer but not at all happy with recent stay . The bedding was all wrinkled ,seemed clean but did not look great. All pictures had been removed from walls leaving screws or picture hangers . Had earwigs in cot brought to room with 'suspect' bedding. Also had à few ants in queen beds. Overall the room did not give me a sense that anyone cared about the customer experience.
Brought all this to owners attention and received a less than interested or valid response ,removed pictures were from artist who wanted them back and working with new artist thus no pictures? Seems like lots of simple solutions that could have improved the visual of this room clearly no effort made to do anything .
Again shows little, if any concern for the customer experience. The 'sorry' from the owner did not at all seem sincere . Very disappointed!
Too bad this used to be a nice place to stay on this beautiful island.

We enjoyed our stay at the Brier Island Lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had good food, although an included breakfast would have been good. We had only one issue - the hot/cold in our shower was erratic, but we where upgraded to a superior room in a newer section of the Lodge. Staff advised the lodge was addressing the issue. Unfortunately it was too foggy during our visit to see the ocean view from the hotel.

Our stay was enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and always available and ready to help. The restaurant is really good. And if you want to see whales you have to go to Brier Island.

The only facility on the island. Restaurant is quite good.

The rooms are adequate and clean.beds were comfortable. There wasn’t a tv. They need to pay a little more attention to room details. Our room was missing a shower curtain, only one coffee cup.
The restaurant was very good for dinner and breakfast.
We enjoyed our stay.
