We could not ask for a better stay! Hernan was very friendly and helpful throughout not only the stay but also the planning and booking process. He arranged our airport transfers, helped us arrange an uber(he interpreted for us). He made wonderful food and siteseeing recommendations. My wife recently had shoulder surgery and is still in a big bulky immobilizer. He was quick to get her an extra pillow to help her be more comfortable. Hernan even made us the most delicious homemade breakfast that he served with wonderful local fresh juice! I would absolutely recommend staying at Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures Centro Historico! Let's be honest..... it was a wonderful Bed and Breakfast, not just a hotel!!!

We loved staying here. The location was perfect for walking and enjoying Old Town. Hernan was very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. He served us a wonderful Ecuadorian breakfast each morning and the hotel has an authentic quaint vibe.
I highly recommend it.

Great location, can be a bit noisy on the street side, but I still slept well. Hernan is great company and very helpful.

Great stay! Stayed 6 nights and Hernan fed us a traditional Ecuadorian breakfast every morning and gave useful and meaningful suggestions for where to go and what to see each day. Thoroughly enjoyed "Tenderness" by Oswald Guayasamin and eating at "La Vid". Hernan made the reservation and got us a table that looked out across Independence Square at the Cathedral. I recommend timing dinner with the sunset and the lighting up of the Cathedral. Hotel was easy walking distance to everything in historic old town Quito. Comfortable, sizable shower and quiet. Highly Recommend.

Very comfortable hotel with helpful English speaking staff. Very close to all the sites in “old town”Quito but on a quiet street for restful sleep/evening relaxation. Super clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is traditional Ecuadorean and delicious. I loved this hotel and would definitely recommend it!

So close to great restaurants and the basilica etc. loved it.

Wonderful, small hotel/bed and breakfast in the heart of the historic district. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was one of the best I’ve experienced in Ecuador and had plenty of hot water. Staff are friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and super staff. Hernan and Blanca were incredible hosts.. Stayed in touch for late arrival.
Experience hotel with breakfast..
Rooms delightfully appointed and comfortable. Views from larger street rooms and interior room perfect quiet cocoons. Safe walk to center and yummy "creperie" discovered on the way. Dont hesitate to stay here .

Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures is a welcoming and beautifully restored boutique hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
Located in the historic district we were able to walk to tourist sites and wonderful restaurants. We aways felt safe.
The breakfasts that are included, were prepared with authentic Ecuadorian recipes.
The proprietor Hernan, was very attentive. His restaurant recommendations never failed to impress.
I highly recommend this hotel. It was not just a plce to stay. It was an experience

The host was so engaged and informative making excellent recommendations for dining, entertainment, and providing local history providing for engaging conversation. He made dinner reservations for us and helped in obtaining reliable and safe transportation. The breakfasts were delicious Ecuadorean food. We wish we had more time in Quito and the surrounding area before leaving for our tour of the Galápagos Islands.

We absolutely LOVED our stay! Room was clean and breakfasts were delicious, showcasing local foods and recipes. The manager could not have been more accommodating. Each morning he took the time to sit with us, learn what our interests were, and then provide us with EXCELLENT recommendations. He also made arrangements for transportation and restaurant reservations, assuring that we had the best experiences in a safe environment. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this property!

We stayed four nights at Hotel Casa Ecuatreasures while in Quito. The hotel is beautiful and we were very comfortable throughout our stay. Herńan is an incredible host and prepared an amazing breakfast each morning of local cuisine. He recommended restaurants, arranged taxi service for us while in Quito and to and from the airport.
Herńan treated us like family and our time spent there was one of highlights of our trip. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Quito.

Excellent personal service from the owner.

Our host was amazing. He shared with us a map of the area and advised us on the best places to visit during our short time. He organized a tour for us to Mindo which allowed us to experience the hummingbirds, butterflies and orchids. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant and were treated to fresh fish!
The hotel was very quaint and had lots of character. We received the utmost in customer service. We had traditional foods at breakfast which were simply wonderful. We were a little challenged on the steep incline in the historic district, but we took our time and gave ourselves permission to proceed slowly. This was a great experience on many levels and we would definitely return to this establishment. The personal care was simply outstanding.

Easy walk to sites of the historic district. Very helpful and attentive staff.

The host was a pleasant and knowledgeable gentleman who kept all of his commitments. His small staff were personable and helpful.

Our stay here was fantastic!
The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a marvelous stay. They prepared special Andean cuisine with explanation. They also were quick and helpful with suggestions to sightsee. (There is a LOT of choices in Centro Historico.) They helped us arrange tours that were specifically tailored to our group. We will definitely return!

This hotel has a lovely location in the Centro Histórico, a fantastic UNESCO World Heritage Site. The best aspects of the hotel are its quaint, historical charm and its committed, hard-working, and gracious staff. Hernán, Blanca, Luis, and Maria all made my stay here wonderful. Hernán especially was very easy to reach, and always seemed to be working to help me. I cannot rate this property highly enough.

Hernan is awesome. Super kind and helpful

OMG! Think no more. If you are going to Quito stay here. The location is amazing. You are in the center of everything yet it is quiet and safe. The staff will help you with recommendation and directions. It is very clean. We had a great time and will stay there again.

Hernan was an amazing person and helped us in every way possible. He scheduled Covid-19 testing for us in the hotel, gave us suggestions for restaurants and shared stories and helpful insights with us. The local beverage he served to us was excellent! I would definately recommend this hotel if you are staying in the historic district!

Those five stars one notes in the previous reviews, they are well earned and well deserved. Upon the start, after selecting this hotel, we were greeted with sincere and warm communications from Hernan, the patriarch of this family owned establishment. Throughout our stay, he was always available to ensure that our needs were taken care of: transportation, tour setup, suggestions on how to experience the Ecuadorian and Quito culture, setting up Covid-19 tests which were needed to return to our country and just plain and simple warm conversation.
The day was started with a wonderful breakfast. Each day something different representing a region of the country, was made by onsite manager. Johnny, the onsite manager, always smiled and was there to make that our stay was pleasant. Interacting with him was ever-so fun, his easy going spirit was contagious. We looked forward to seeing him upon returning to the hotel each day, sharing our adventures.
We were picked up at the airport by Joel, another easygoing member of the hotel family. From the start, he too was there for us if ever needed. Again, as with Hernan and Johnny, Joel was sincere and very pleasant to converse with. We also took a tour to the Middle of the Earth, local markets and restaurants and the Quito Teleferico. This tour was hosted by Joel, while he was an employee you felt like he was a friend.
My wife and I travel when possible, we have visited numerous countries and we have stayed in a wide spectrum of lodging

A great location! Casa Ecuatreasures is run by lovely people - they were very friendly and helpful!

After touring the Galapagos, my friends and I decided to spend an extra 5 days in Quito. We couldn't have picked a better hotel! It is in the historic area of Quito, within walking distance of many lovely attractions. The rooms are large and extremely comfortable. This is a family-owned and run hotel and they excel at making you feel welcome. The hotel will arrange for someone to pick you up and drop you off at the airport and one of the owners even gave us a personalized tour of the city. The rooms are priced at a reasonable rate too. If you prefer a small, quaint, and charming hotel, look no further.

I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is located very conveniently in the historic center close to all the local attractions. The owners Hernan and his wife are really friendly and approachable. I will definitely stay here again should I ever return to Quito.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Hosts were very helpful with pointing out some great sites to see. Great breakfast too.

My husband and I recently stayed at this delightful hotel, and absolutely loved it. Our host, Hernan, gave lots of recommendations and all were perfect. The location was very convenient, and the hotel was clean and beautiful! Breakfast was also delicious. We highly recommend Casa Ecuatreasures!

My wife and i were so grateful that we decided to stay at Ecuatreasures. Hernan made our holiday so incredibly unforgettable. The food was delicious, the room were perfect and the location excellent. On top of that, Hernan provided a full-day tour around Quito and giving us the perfect local insight into this beautiful city and country. We definitely recommend to anyone looking at going to Quito!
4.8
Hernan was a fabulous host. Each day he went the extra mile by taking time to give us helpful information and suggestions on what to see. Every morning he personally prepared us a delicious breakfast, coffee, and fresh made juices. On our last day he went out of his way to allow us a late checkout as well as set up a taxi to the airport. I would highly recommend staying at Casa Ecuatreasures.

What a great small hotel to stay in Quito! Perfect location, walking distance from the Centro Historico, from the Basilica, Museos, iglesias! ALL! The owners are very friendly and were of great help suggesting where and what to visit. Room was spacious and clean! And the breakfast area with the sunroof was just perfect!

Oh my gosh-AMAZING. Hernan was so kind and amazing even before we arrived. He kept in contact with email and answered all my questions. Once there at Ecuatreasures, his wife, Alicia had a warm greeting. We also took a private tour with Joel (son-in-law) which was outstanding. I gave a general idea of what we wanted to see/experience, and he blew our minds with the day. This family business is by far one of the nicest experiences we have ever had. The recently renovated hotel is in Old Town (about 5 blocks to the main Plaza). When you arrive, there is a staircase you go up to get to the rooms which are surrounding a central patio/sitting area (covered by a ceiling). Our room was new a fresh. The bathroom had all modern amenities and hot water for washing. The colors and decor was soothing and relaxing. Ecuatreasures Old Town had just recently opened when we stayed there in December. They have a B-n-B in south? Quito with lots of reviews. The breakfast was made by Joel and was good (eggs, fruit, juice, coffee and tortilla item-all served to you), (I wish we could have had more, without looking like pigs and asking for seconds) but was enough. Hernan and Alicia took the time to review the map of the area so we could explore old Town with ease. The price of the hotel was a little higher than others in the area, but you are paying for the hospitality and friendliness of Hernan, Alica, and Joel, and the fresh clean rooms. I wish I could say more.Thank you to Hernan

Excellent service. Owner takes care of you personally !2 Blocks from Plaza Grande (but, gets lonely after 9 PM).Rooms are very small, so 2 suggestions -1. Provide a nightstand/bedside table2. Provide a luggage rack (this will free up floor space, so guests can move around)Lastly, breakfast is good but lacks variety and portions are small.
