Really lovely spot. Close to everything. Comfortable, great food. And fantastic staff.

Comfortable bed, cloud-like duvet, smart bathroom and coffee machine. Slept really well, surprisingly quiet for a pub. Breakfast varied and copious, great fruit salad, crisp warmed croissants and homemade jam, good to have the option of small portions of cooked breakfast, friendly service. Good choice of food the rest of the day, substantial tapas menu in the evening. Well located for Castle and other historic buildings, close to bus station, a short, slightly uphill walk into town. Would certainly stay there again.

Great traditional hotel with lovely rooms and bar , dining area , spacious relaxed garden out the back.Great location for racecourse, and only a small walk into town 😀 Staff really helpful and friendly .The young Lady Jordan checked us in and made our arrival very welcoming with all the advice needed.
Would definitely recommend this hotel .

The hotel was very conveniently located close to the castle and other amenities. The rooms were nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable if a bit small for us as we are used to a King. The shower was very hot. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very pleasant and amenable.

Lovely little overnight stay for my friends birthday. My favourite breakfast served to perfection, eggs florentine. Nice clean room, light and comfortable. Tea, coffee and biscuits and easy parking. Would recommend

We traveled from London to the quaint town of Warwick. There is a castle there - which has events and activities during the summer months - many directed to children. We went there because we wanted to go to the British Motor Museum and Jaguar museum located in Gaydon - a 30 pound taxi ride. The museum was well worth the trip and the guys who work there were very helpful. The Olde Four Penny Shop Hotel was another bonus - English breakfast included and gourmet quality dinners at the pub were amazing. Helpful hardworking staff.

Another warm and welcoming stay at the Fourpenny. The accommodation is functional but the rooms are a good size, beds are comfortable and the shower is hot! Excellent food and really welcoming team. Added bonus is that it’s so close to the city centre.

Great hotel perfectly located for everything, the castle and town centre are a few minutes walk away. We stayed for 2 nights, it was perfect. We ate in the hotel on our first night, the food and service was excellent. Great choice for breakfast, they even had homemade jam and marmalade. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a very enjoyable overnight stay.

I've not stayed in a pub-located inn before, so walking into the pub later in the evening, I had no idea where to check in. Although the group around the bar were convivial, I was not a part of their group, and it took a bit to locate a person/place to sign in. After that, my family checked into the (very clean) room and went looking for a late dinner Sadly, the Fourpenny doesn't serve food after 9pm, so it was back out onto the streets of Warwick. The hotel rooms in back are to one side of a very pleasant courtyard. The morning's breakfast was excellent, cooked to order, and in an open, airy dining room. I will rate their pillows as the best I encountered on my three week stay in Europe.
