There was no one in the property and was not given code for door. Had to go to pub a few doors down. This used to be a beautiful house. 4 bedrooms but is now not cared for and it was quite sad to see a property looking ‘lost’.

Great location to most attractions, shopping, and the golf course in St Andrew’s. Convenient walk one block over to the main shopping street which has lots of shops and places to eat. There is no parking onsite but the we found parking a block away. Breakfast in the morning was good and staff were friendly.

5 Pilmour is a wonderful place to stay while in St. Andrews. It is very close to everything including the old course, restaurants, shopping, and pubs. It was a very clean, convenient place with tasty breakfast choices!

We loved our stay in the back cottage. The place was very clean and super cute. My only problem is the wifi in the cottage was really weak so if you need that it would probably be better if you book a room in the hotel part. Otherwise the staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast included was delicious. Very close to the old course. Had a great stay and would definitely stay there again

Brilliant, simple accommodation that’s connected to the fantastic Dunvegan pub. The 18th hole at the old course is a 90 second walk away.

Great staff here and their sister property, Dunvegan Hotel. Single rooms are tiny. Walls are paper thin, but most patrons find that out quickly, and adjust accordingly. Basic but well prepared breakfast.

Lovely stay at this quaint bed and breakfast in St. Andrew’s. Highly recommend! Easy check in. Full breakfast. Rooms nicely decorated. Large bathroom. Five stars all around!

As a golfer, visiting St Andrews is essentially a pilgrimage trip. With the Old Course and it’s associated restaurant 5 minutes of walk away, limited room space and lack of on-spot parking are bearable especially with breakfast included!

Great really accessible place to stay. Comfortable room, lovey breakfast. The only slight downside were that the single beds (in the twin room) seemed on the small side, they were very narrow and not very long, I am 5ft 9 and my feet were hanging off the end!

While my stay was fine, this is not a four star hotel. It’s a house with separate bedrooms, en suite bath with individual locks on each room, with a common area living and dining room. *** No staff at night or the afternoon if there is a problem. Push button lock on main entry. In my case that access code was not sent by hotels.com nor did the site or app have it so I had to search for a random email from who knows what origin out of hundreds to get my access code. While waiting in the rain. I assume this is really a golfers place but it was quiet and convenient. Certainly not modern or updated.

Wonderful room, central location, a most generous breakfast, and nice staff. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to Saint Andrews! Had to reach out to Expedia customer service because messages were not being delivered through the app, but that does not seem to be the fault of the B&B. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

This was my second time staying at this property, on both occasions my room has been clean, comfortable and warm with all the basic necessities provided. The location is ideal for walks on the beach and the service at breakfast in the morning was excellent.

Entrance didn’t look up to much and lounge very dark but bedroom and en-suite more than made up for it. Amazing.

So convenient to everything like dining & the golf courses, plus the castle. Wonderful quiet room with a terrific bathroom tub & very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good served by polite staff. Liked the overall decor. Only problem was finding a parking space.

We took two rooms at 5 Pilmour Place. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Very comfortable and great location to all St. Andrews has to offer. It seemed that a noise curfew might be enforced as the bar quieted just after 11.30pm. Do not rely on the staff as they do not respond to the calls made to the local number they provided and forget requesting an early take away breakfast as we did and it was not provided even though the back up staff at their sister establishment took our order requests. Two thumbs down for integrity!

Didn’t receive check in details. Was left standing outside emailing to try and get in. No staff on hand. Room was not the one that was booked. Breakfast fine and staff apologetic but poor experience and poor value for money
