I enjoyed my short stay at Travelers Inn. The price was reasonable, accommodations were clean, and the parking was convenient. The staff was extremely welcoming especially the nice lady at the front desk. I will definitely stay again.

We used it as pit stop to beach. Much better than last years pit stop. Clean and no smoke smell. Front desk was very courteous and helpful. We were late due to traffic.

This place was horrific. There were tons of bugs, stains and hair all over the sheets and towels, and it smelled very musty. Absolutely disgusting.
3.8
“Non-smoking room” had strong residual smoke scents.

We had a decent sized, clean, comfortable room. Everything was fairly basic, nothing fancy, but nothing seemed old or worn out. The staff was very friendly, well, we only met the person at the desk while checking in and out , but she was great. Overall, a positive experience.

The front desk staff (Brittany) was beyond helpful and demonstrated a high degree of professionalism. When bad weather pushed my arrival/check-in time well into the night, she called me directly to check on my travel progress- and then waited up to check me in. The amenities are basic, clean, and exceeded expectations. Excellent experience and would recommend as a modest, reasonably-priced lodging option.

Great stay!

Toilet didn't work room smelt like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Shower curtain was moldy. Room needed paint bed was comfy and woman at front desk was very friendly.

Clean and very friendly staff

Close to college, facility was showing some age. Room was functional with some updates.

Good for the price of the room for a one night s stsy.

Just what we wanted. Could use a spring cleaning.
3.8
Clean, inexpensive room for overnight stay. Close to a major highway, so a little noisy at times but not oppressive. Helpful staff.

Comfortable for a 3 night stay

This is a pretty simple hotel. Low price, simple room that is nothing fancy. They are doing a remodel to update some things, still not fancy but it was very clean. The customer service though I must say was a definite 10/10. I was in town to run a marathon which meant that everywhere was fully booked. I mistakenly booked a smoking room and the lady at the front desk noticed by my outfit that I was a likely runner and wouldn't want a smoking room but they were fully booked. She told me which room she thought smelled the least due to the recent renovations, gave me multiple keys to let me check the different rooms to see which one smelled the least like smoke and offered to let me switch the next day if they had a cancellation. I also checked in very late and she contacted me while I was driving out there to make sure I was still coming so that I could cancel and get some money back if not. While I ended up staying in the smoking room due to no other vacancies I think the customer service needs to be called out as attempting to go way above and beyond to help me with a problem that was entirely my own fault.

Great stay for the value! Staff were very kind & attentive. Only downfalls (and its just being picky)- non-smoking room smelled like smoke; road noise is fairly loud; TV remote is odd with no guide on how to use; toiler is low-flow/pressure. But, room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable.

The property could use some upgrades. Overall it was a decent stay for the price.

Staff was pleasant and worked with us to meet out needs for a foom. Clean. They had new beds and were uncomfortable for us as they were firmer than what we are use to. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location and great price. The room was better than expected except for one of the two beds had some dirt in it under the blanket so i opted to sleep on the other. Behind the bed was dirty, but otherwise a great experience

Didn’t have towels when we came. Tv didn’t work properly

Very nice staff. Rooms were dated but clean. Bathrooms were redone and new.

Listen, I never leave reviews but I felt it was my duty to let the public know about this place. We paid almost $200 for a room. There was NO HOT WATER and only one towel! There was a cockaroach on the bathroom mirror waiting for me while I took a freezing cold and tried to dry off with a towel already used by my husband and son. The owners of this place need to do a better job.

I want to start with the good. The girl that works the check in and that does the laundry was fantastic. She really cares and that is hard to find nowadays. Unfortunately, now comes the bad. First, unless you want to sleep on the equivalent of a Futon this is not the place for you. I am a HUNDRED percent sure that they had the WORSE BED I have ever slept on. It was a metal frame with a futon mattress on it, not even slightly comfortable. They have renovated but this place is OLD. Our toilet handle was on the verge of collapsing. My son travelled with me and wanted no part of this place. He of course found a dead bug almost as soon as we walked in and a cigarette on the chair, this was a non-smoking room. I was told that the cleaning lady smoked and probably left it thereon accident but still worrisome. There are many times I wish I could go back in time to redo things in life and booking 2 nights here would be one of them.

An OK place, but barely. Friendly staff, room was clean, but the feeling of the place was a little "depressed". Far from the town center.

close to the college. staid here many times, and it is our stop of choice.
3.8
Acceptable, but very basic

Brittany was nice at the front desk but the room was not clean…there was hair all over the bathroom sink, toilet and floor. I knew this wasn’t a five star hotel but I was expecting a little bit more. The room being dirty just made me feel dirty the whole weekend. Didn’t even want to use the bathroom. The towels and rags were just so flimsy. The sheet, because there was no comforter just felt mushy so I slept on top of everything. They had some good TV channels though. I probably will not ever stay here again.

Generally, an excellent place to stay in Elizabeth City! Clean, well-kept, at an excellent price. The owner/manager is on-site much of the time, and is helpful, kind, and polite - brava! The only tick against it is the a/c seems a little unreliable: I like a cold room at night, and the a/c doesn't give a lot of options for control.
But other than that, highly recommended!

This is a basic, no-frills hotel. Our room was clean. We got a decent night's sleep. There were no safety concerns. We would stay here again.

The staff was great!

The front desk lady was incredibly helpful and accommodating. She went above and beyond to help make our stay pleasant.

This property does not match the photographs. It is in an area away from town that made 2 women feel unsafe. We didn't arrive until 9 pm, they charged my card at 7 pm. We didn't even get out of the vehicle. I called the hotel and the woman was offended that we weren't checking in or staying. She refused to refund my $ and warned me that other places were dangerous. SHADY!!

Room was dirty and in need of renovations. Sheets were stained, floors sticky and bathroom ceiling mildewed. Chair had large stains. Toilet was not fastened to the floor properly and hit the wall when used. After showing management pictures was denied any type of compensation. I will never stay there again and neither should you. You’ve been warned.

Staff was friendly, property was updated & clean.

This is a very basic motel with very basic remodel. Motel is right on the main road so it can be very loud with traffic noise.
The beds are on a metal frame which can be quite noisy. The refrigerator made a loud noise every time it turned off which woke me all night.
Overall it was clean. The shower curtain could use a wash. The bathroom sink drained at a snails pace but I informed the front desk and they were gonna call a plumber.
My biggest complaint was the towels. Bathroom linens were pitiful!!!!!! They were old, thin, dingy and hard as if they had been hung outside on a clothesline to dry. We considered stopping at dollar general to purchased new ones but we were only there for 2 days.
This place could still use some improvements to improve the overall ratings.

The front desk staff was as nice and friendly on my third stay as they were on my first stay. The room was clean and the right size for my visits. I dont have anything negative to say.

Everything about this stay was great. From check in to check out. We had one small issue with the shower but it was handled quickly and professionally. Brittany is the BEST!! WE WILL STAY AGAIN!!

Phenomenal Staff! They are extremely friendly, helpful, and overall pleasant! And it is nice to support a true small business that’s excelling in a large industry. We will now ONLY stay their on our frequent trips to Elizabeth City. I cannot recommend them enough!
